Chapter 32: The Council's Trial Part 1

Chapter 32: The Council's Trial Part 1

Third Person POV

A room was filled with different people who are having a meeting over something that had happened

recently.

This room was not just an ordinary room but the city's council room who oversees the entire city's well-

being.

Where all the councilmen gather up and have a meeting and discussing anything important about any

agenda that they have.

The council was composed of four people. Four important people in the society who are powerful.

"Council members I have a very important news to deliver to all of you" a man who is wearing a blue

cloak spoke. Making all of the other council members look at him.

Once he had all the attention he wants then he speaks again.

"I have found the water elemental" he said in a very serious tone making everyone gasp and murmur in

shock.

Amusement is all over his face and he was so proud looking at them with those shocked expressions

that they have.

Who would if you are the one who found a person who has a power that was nearly thought to be

extinct this entire time?

Today, believing only what the mouth say is nothing but an opinion and not a fact therefore evidence is

needed a proof to what you say for it to be acknowledge as a truth.

"Headmaster-"

The Headmaster of the main school. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

He is the one who controls everything that is happening inside the school premises in the entire city.

Students performances and ability are his main responsibility to take good care.

He is the main leader of the schools where in he secures the wellbeing of all the students.

"-the next awakening of the water elemental is not this century but the next and besides aren't we

already give up. All the water elemental users had vanished and it is a miracle if we could find a water

manipulator" a man, who is wearing a red cloak and an armor inside it said. He is the one who first

recovered from the shocking news.

"Yes, General-"

The General of the battle field.

He is responsible for all the safety of the people inside the city's perimeter. He enforce peace, law and

justice inside the city. He commands all the warriors and soldiers of the city too. They all work under his

commands.

He trains people to become a protector of the city and soon leaders of the army.

"-that's true but that all the water elementals have already vanished but something happened. This

person could manipulate water according to her own will. I am very confident that this person is a water

elemental since I personally had tested it" the Headmaster reasoned out making the General crunch

his eyebrow trying to challenge the headmaster.

"So it's a girl then the person that you talk about" the General said while holding his chin.

"Yes the water elemental that I am speaking is a girl" the Headmaster said while looking at the General.

"How can you be sure that she really is a water elemental. You never knew maybe she's a fake" the

General smirk.

The headmaster suddenly is being annoyed by the General and that's not an issue in here since there

is no room for errors and he understands that they are just making sure that it is true.

Silence filled the air and the General is now smiling smugly. "See I told you that-"

"I have a proof to what I have said General and I brought her here for you to believe that I'm telling the

truth" the Headmaster said cutting off whatever the General is going to say to him.

The General looks at the Headmaster with a pissed expression. Nobody dared to cut him off when his

speaking yet the headmaster did.

"You-"

"General let him continue" a man wearing a golden cloak said while tapping his hands on the table.

"Yes your Majesty-"

The Majesty ruler of the city.

He controls everything that is happening under the city itself. He enforce authority and power to

everyone around him making everyone fear and submit to him.

He is the leader and ruler of the city. His words are the law and his so powerful that he could destroy

anyone, I guess.

"-I'll let you go this time headmaster" the General said in a calm voice before twitching his lips while the

Headmaster smirk at him.

"Thank you and I appreciate that General" the Headmaster said in a mocking tone.

"That's enough already. Show me your evidence Headmaster. So that we could proceed if what your

claim is true or just a fake one" the Majesty said making both the two of them calm down and continue

with the agenda.

"Then shall we" the Headmaster said while clearing his throat.

Suddenly the council was turned into a trial court. The tables of the council were turned into a semi-

circle position and it went a little bit higher on the ground making it look tall if you are on the ground.

This room is what I have said its no ordinary room since it turns into three positions depending on the

occasion that the Council is in. And for now, they needed to speak to someone so the roomed changed

into a trial room for questioning.

If I were the one being on trial them maybe I might be shaking in fear while looking up and staring at

these intimidating people up on their sits.

Then suddenly the Headmaster flickered his hands and the the door below opened slowly. Then after

that a girl suddenly appeared and started to enter the room.

Everyone eyed and look at the girl who is entering the room. The so-called water elemental that the

Headmaster is talking about. Once the girl is passing the door frame it slowly closed and the girl

continued to walk until the she stands at a platform in the front of the council.

"My name is Margaret Malloy and I'm a water elemental" the girl said trying to maintain her smile as

she looks up at them.

The atmosphere in the room was so intense that you could say that this is really not the best place that

you want to enter since authority, power and intimidation reeks everywhere around the room.

"I don’t believe this kind of thing" the General said in boredom while looking at the Majesty.

"She might be kind of using something that made the Headmaster think that she is a water elemental"

the General said and the Headmaster glared at him.

"General what do you mean did something. You think that I was tricked--"

"Enough" the Majesty said and both of them immediately stop and fix themselves.

"We are at a court here so act like one" he said in an authoritative tone making them submit

immediately.

He then looks at the girl who is kind of intimidated and scared making him sigh in frustration.

(All of the water elementals are gone and like what the General said that it's a miracle if we ever could

find a person that is a water elemental) He said in thoughts while looking at the girl.

(They were all hunted down because of their powers. History says that some have survived and hid

away from the others to keep themselves safe) He ranted while looking at the girl in confusion.

"So why did this girl try to appear now. Is he a fraud just like what the General said" he mumble in deep

thoughts while looking at the girl again.

"Then let's shall wait no more and make it sure" he continued before looking at the Headmaster and he

nods.

The Headmaster immediately gets what he means and he looked at the girl.

"You can show them now your powers" he said and the everyone look at the girl.

She suddenly raises up her and waves it around before a water suddenly appear in front of the girl and

she begin manipulating it, making it float above the ground and dance in the air according to her own

will.

Everyone was surprised and was speechless of what the girl did except the Headmaster who already

knows it.

The Headmaster was just smirking while looking at the reaction of the Council especially the General

who was so against the matter a while ago.

"Is this enough as a proof to the Council" the girl said in a silly smile before immediately hiding it and

changed it into a shy smile.

No one saw her smile like that because she immediately looks down and change her expression when

she looked up at the Council.

"You heard the girl General" the Headmaster mockingly said pissing the General whose only response

was a grunt.

"Then let's see if it's true. We need more proof to make it true" the Majesty suddenly said making

everyone look at him.

"What is it your test Majesty" the Headmaster said making the Majesty smile.

He looks down and close his eyes for a moment trying to think of something significant and important.

"That's right" he suddenly blurted out before raising his head at the same time opening his eyes and

look at the girl in front.

Everyone was silent, waiting for the Majesty to give his test.

On the other hand, one of the councils was just observing the girl and only listening the conversation of

everyone in the room.

"Weapon-" the Majesty said cutting the tension in the room.

"Pardon me Sir-" the girl said in confusion.

"Can't you hear him. What he said was totally clear as the day outside" the General roared making the

girl flinch and jump back at the intensity of that.

"Hold your voice General. Your scaring the girl" the Headmaster said looking at the angry General.

"You-"

"Stop. Both of you calm down" the Majesty said making them both stop.

The Majesty sighs but before talking he glance first at the other member of the council who is sitting on

the other far corner.

He then looks back at the girl and talked to her.

"What's your name again child" he said in a kind manner making the girl to be comfortable with the

situation.

The girl was a little bit confused for a moment and she suddenly look at the General.

The Majesty noticed that the girl was a little bit distracted so he followed her sight and saw that the

General is eyeing her intensely.

The Majesty sighs again in frustration while shaking his head in an annoyed expression.

"Can't they see that this is too uncomfortable for the child" he mumbles to himself while looking at the

girl.

"General could you please stop that already" he said and the General stopped and slump on his chair.

"Well then go on-"
