Clarissa choked out a short yes as a reply. The truth was, she hadn’t told Lily yet. But since Damien

had agreed to it, there was no need to say anything to Lily. Clarissa was so depressed, she didn’t talk

to Damien on the way to work the next day. She took her change of clothes and went straight to the

office. Damien was getting off the elevator when he saw Clarisssa’s expressionless face. He brushed

his hand across his chin. “Won’t you miss me?” Clarissa tumed away with a short reply, “No.”

Then, Damien turned to leave.

When Clarissa came to the office, she was surprised to see Nicole at work. Clarissa knew Howard was

hiring some time ago, but she didn’t expect Nicole to be the recruit.

Nicole used to be the intern everyone loved. However, she didn’t stay in New East Corporation and

joined another company instead. Later, she went for an interview to join the New East Corporation’s

audit department, but she did not pass.

Now, she ended up in the New East Corporation finance department. Her salary was similar to her

internship, but it was less than Clarissa’s by almost hall.
