Xarri Refused to Leave
Xarri’s words confused Emmanuel.
“You should go now. When the right time comes, I’ll fight alongside you.” Xarri smiled
encouragingly.
Emmanuel met Xarri’s eyes and tightened his fists.
He knew very well that releasing Xarri now wouldn’t be much help. He only needed Xarri

At least a hundred people were trapped inside the dungeon. Their pleading eyes were
fixed on him. They viewed him as their savior.

“Mr. Emmanuel!” At that moment, Aqua entered the passage with an old woman on her
back.
“Is she your mother, Aqua?” Emmanuel felt a pang of sadness as he could see the old
woman barely clinging to her life.
“Yes.” Aqua nodded, holding back tears as she pleaded, “Mr. Emmanuel, please get my
mother out. S–She’s barely holding together!”
Clenching his fists, Emmanuel nodded solemnly. “Follow me. I’ll signal when it’s safe to
go.”
“Okay!” Pursing her lips, she nodded.
Ostrich and the others shouted along.
Without further delay, Emmanuel took the lead and rushed down the foul–smelling
passage.

The guards of the Airspace Group rushed in before they could reach the gate.

The guards had no idea who their opponents were. They just charged forward.
Emmanuel was burning with anger as the armed forces of the Airspace Group had

guards flying backward across the room like kites.
Lastly, they crashed heavily on the ground.

Blake hid safely in a corner with the aid of the cover of darkness and the guard uniform.
When he saw the guards were sent flying to the ground, he knew for sure that
Emmanuel was coming out. I know it! Getting involved in Emmanuel’s plan is never a
good idea! Every encounter with him results in me getting in trouble. It’s either getting
bombed or thrown into a dungeon. He’s nothing but trouble!
However, Blake only blamed himself. He could’ve left without worrying about his
so–called friend.

The sight of the corpse outside the dungeon fueled his anger.
He felt like he was back in the Northern Region during times of war. The same anger
