Love After Betrayal Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Henry screamed miserably as Casper’s bodyguard kicked him without holding himself back while
Casper sat emotionlessly in his wheelchair. Naturally, one could infer that this was done at his orders.
Crack! However, it wasn’t long before Natalie heard sounds of bones breaking. The bodyguard actually RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
broke Henry’s legs! With that, Henry’s screams stopped, as he had fainted from the pain. “You should
be ready to pay the price for going after me. Take him away. Tell the others that he is prohibited from
going to the hospital. The next time anyone has some funny ideas coming at me, you can just feed
them to the dogs at your own discretion,” Casper said coldly. “Understood, Mr. Langston.” Natalie had
heard rumors that Casper Langston was ruthless, violent, and bloodthirsty. She had thought that the
rumors were baseless until this very moment. A psychopath! That man is a psychopath! Her stomach
churned at such a bloody scene. She immediately covered her mouth and ran out of the house. I need
to get a divorce as soon as possible. Otherwise, I won’t even know how I would die if I offend Casper in
any way. … In the hospital. Since Natalie’s period was not the usual amount of blood, she was worried
that she might have some bleeding in her uterus, or that it was a gynecological issue. Hence, she had
booked an appointment with the hospital today. However, the result was not one she had expected.
After the ultrasound, the doctor told her that she was pregnant. Due to her condition of having a low
volume of blood, the baby was not in a stable situation, so the doctor advised her to practice good
prenatal care. This report was exactly like a bolt from the blue for Natalie. If Casper hadn’t woken up
from his coma, she could still keep the baby and keep the end of her deal with Ethel. However, their
divorce was just around the corner now that he had woken up. Furthermore, she shuddered upon
thinking about the scene she witnessed just this morning. This child really came at a bad time. She felt
somewhat conflicted and lost, as everything in her life had changed so much in just a month’s time.
First, it was her marriage, now it was a baby inside her. Just what am I supposed to do? With such
thoughts, she was in the middle of leaving the hospital with a heavy heart when she heard a voice
coming from the intensive care ward. “Yes, Casper almost killed me! If I didn’t tearfully beg that brute,
he would have no doubt killed me in the same way he did to… just like back then! My legs… My legs
are ruined now! But, I am sure that his legs are the very same now! I’ve seen it with my own two eyes!”
“True, you’re right. The Langston Family will never let a disabled man like him hold authority. It would
only stain the family’s reputation…” This voice is… Henry’s? Since his legs were broken by Casper, is
he planning to take his revenge on Casper? Natalie thought. She pondered briefly whether to let
Casper know that Henry still had an accomplice. However, she could no longer hear the voices in the
room. Afraid that Henry would catch her eavesdropping here, she immediately left the hospital without
looking back. … Hillside Villa, in the study room. “Mr. Langston, this is the list of people that Henry had
placed in the company during this period of time. What should we do with them?” Tyler handed a list of
names to Casper. Without looking at the list, Casper said hoarsely, “Get rid of them all.” “Understood.
Mr. Langston, there are also several vice presidents that said that they wished to come visit you since
you’ve regained consciousness.” Visit me? I’m sure they’re just here to see if I’m really alive, he
thought. Nevertheless, he could not bear to show his current miserable appearance to the employees
of the company. As the founder of the Langston Group, the God of Fortune of Kaiton, he couldn’t allow
others to witness him being in such a pitiful state where he couldn’t even stand on his own two feet. “If
they are bold enough to show their faces here, then by all means.” Although he was intimidated by
Casper, Tyler said stiffly, “A-Alright. Mr. Langston, I will convey your words to the vice presidents.” “I
don’t want the matter of my inability to stand to be leaked to the public.” “I understand, Mr. Langston.”
Just then, Tyler’s phone rang. After he answered his phone, he said in joy, “Mr. Langston, Professor
Wright is here! I’ll go show him in.” Since Professor Wright was an expert in such a field, just by having
the professor be in charge of Casper’s treatment, the chances of Casper regaining his leg functions
were as high as 70 percent. When Tyler went to show Professor Wright in, he happened to run into
Natalie by the entrance. After a rushed greeting, he took the professor upstairs. Natalie had checked
the professor’s background and confirmed that he was indeed skilled. Nevertheless, she knew that it
would be impossible for this professor to completely treat Casper’s illness. During the period Casper
was still in a coma, Natalie had done many investigations on her own and had developed certain plans
for his treatment. However, she was left with no other choice but to shelve those plans temporarily with
the current situation. Two hours later, there was a loud noise in the study room.
