Chapter 848 If Miss Chloe and Daddy Have a Child
Chapter 848 If Miss Chloe and Daddy Have a Child
"Mind your own business," Chloe said coldly before turning to Jasper and smiling. "I have to go now. See you later."
"See you later, Ms. Chloe. Take care of yourself."
Joseph watched Chloe walk away until her graceful figure completely disappeared from his sight. Then, he lowered his gaze to the small hand gripping his thigh tightly. "So why aren’t you letting me chase after her?" From NôvelDrama.Org.
"No reason. I just think there's something more important right now."
"Such as?"
"That woman named Vanya is locked up in our house. Ask her where Ms. Chloe's child is and whether they're alive or dead. Get the answers and then arrange to meet Ms. Chloe again. Isn't that a better plan?"
Joseph froze. "You know about this?" He had been keeping this from Jasper, not expecting him to be so observant.
"Yeah, I overheard your conversation with Sir Callum," Jasper said as he looked at Joseph earnestly. "I hope to have another friend, a younger sibling, and it doesn’t matter to me if it’s a sister or a brother. Then, I'll have another friend besides Timmy."
Most importantly, if Chloe and Joseph had a child, the chances of them reconciling would increase.

Emily and Chloe went in different directions. Emily took a cab while Tyson escorted Chloe back to the Sullivan manor in his car. Knowing Tyson wanted to say something, Chloe kept silent throughout
the ride and waited patiently.
"Joe is a good man, Chloe. He may look cold on the outside but he truly has a kind heart. After that fire years ago, he didn't sleep for days. He couldn't bring himself to believe you were gone."
Blinking, Chloe asked, "Are you trying to help him in reconciling with me too?"
"No, please don't get me wrong." Tyson shook his head and sighed heavily. "I just don't want to have a horrible image of Joe. I'm just telling you the truth."
Over the years, the Whitmans had seemed prosperous, but nobody knew the hardships they had gone through. Harold had been unconscious, while his only legitimate heir had betrayed them and ended up in prison. Joseph had to uphold the Whitman Group and Fairlight on his own, and as a result, working until the wee hours of the morning was a common occurrence. The only consolation was that Jasper had grown up healthy.
"All of that is in the past. We should always look to the future."
"Yes, but Joe still loves you. He has never really let go," Tyson said.
He paused momentarily, then continued, "Do you know that Joe even reported you missing to the police? He firmly believed you were alive. He continued investigating and only stopped when he found clues overseas.
"He probably found out that you were with Noah, and he couldn't accept it. He completely ignored Xavia's advances. At family gatherings, he would get drunk and mutter your name over and over."
Chloe froze for a moment but quickly regained her composure. "No matter how well he treats me now, it can't make up for what he did to me."
Tyson dropped the topic. Whether Joseph and Chloe got back together or not was not something others could make happen through mere words. It ultimately depended on themselves and their destiny.

After finishing her nightly routine, Chloe lay down in bed. Suddenly, the things Tyson had said to her earlier in the day resurfaced in her mind. She vigorously shook her head, trying to shake off the jumbled thoughts. Closing her eyes, she forced herself to go to sleep.
In the deep of the night, Noah entered her bedroom and lightly sat down on her bedside. He gazed affectionately at Chloe. Unable to resist, he reached out and gently touched her face. Suddenly, she started to mutter in her sleep, her brows furrowing. She said a few words, and although she was mumbling, Noah caught a name clearly—Joseph.
