“Give me a few minutes to wrap up what I’m doing I will be with you now,” he said. I nodded and took a seat on the couch. The room was big enough I liked it here. Yesterday when I was here I didn’t take note of the room but now I appreciate it.

“We can go now,” Noah said standing up from the chair and stretching. I stood up too and stretched. He took his cell phone and slipped it in his pocket before dialing on the telephone in his front. “Mara tell Ben to bring the car around”Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Yes sir” she answered her voice chipping.

“And tell him I will be driving us,” he said and my eyes widened. He cut the call and came to me leading me outside. Nichole stood up when she saw Noah standing up.

“I’m heading out for lunch now. Take some time off and have lunch yourself” Noah said taking my hands in his.

“You have a meeting right now,” she told him and he frowned.

“No, I don’t. I remember my schedule well” Noah said. She looked agitated. I know what is going on she doesn’t want me to spend time with Noah today.

“I’m so sorry. I mistake it for your schedule tomorrow” she said picking up her notepad.

“Thank you, Nichole. We will leave first and we will head home afterward. So have lunch and go home” he said taking my hand. When I turned back to see Nichole’s face the scowl she had on her face wanted something that I wanted to talk about. She looked as if I was taking something of hers.

Noah collected the key from Ben. “You can take the remaining day off,” he said to him. Ben looked stunned and nodded before going out from us.

“Where are we going?” I ask him when he opens the passenger seat in front for me.

“You will see,” he said reaching to pull the seat belt over me.

“I don’t like surprises,” I say in a teasing tone. He rounded the front of the car and came to the driver’s seat.

“It’s not a surprise…” he started.

“So where?” I asked eagerly.

“But I’m not telling you” he finished and I frowned and rested my back well. “Never knew you could cook well,” he said and I laughed at him.

“What do you think we do in the catering house?” I ask him wondering so well.

“That’s true, you are the potential owner of Bloom Catering,” he said and I just looked at him.

“Are you that forgetful?” I asked surprised.

“I’m not forgetful,” he said defending himself. “I just….” he trailed off.

“Didn’t remember? Forgot?” I say giving him options.

“It skipped my mind” he corrected me and I laughed a little. “Your laughter has a sweet tone,” he said and my insides were jelly.

“Thank you but I don’t know what yours sounds like,” I say trying to act as normal as possible. What he just said didn’t affect me. Or did it?

“I don’t laugh,” he said with a serious face.

“I don’t want my baby to grow up with a non-laughing dad,” I said and he smiled at me.

He came to a traffic light and stopped. He turned to me and bent his head to my stomach level.

“Hey baby” he whispered. “Mom wants me to laugh so should I?” he asked and I felt a small nudge.

“I will take that as a yes baby,” I say my hands touching it. “Noah light,” I said and he got back up. He drove and we talked although nothing important. We talked about Jacob and Eileen’s wedding that is coming up. He parked in the parking lot of a hotel. I looked up to see Woodley hotels.

“This is the first place we met,” he said explaining as if clearing my doubts but why are we here?

“I know that but why are we here?” I ask him and he smiles.

“Good question,” he said opening his door. “Come you will see,” Noah told me to sit while he went to talk with the lady at the front desk. After a while, he led us(well practically only me but who cares?) to a room. I stopped at the door my leg glued and unmovable.

“What are we doing here?” I ask gently trying very hard not to attract the attention of the people in the busy hallway. Why is it even busy now?

“Let’s go in and we can talk,” he said giving me a look I couldn’t really interpret. “We can’t talk here” he finally said and my brain gave my legs the will to move. We entered the room and he locked it from inside.

I must say it is a very nice room. Executives room. Me like but why am I here?

“As to why you are here” Noah started before I could ask him. It was as if he was reading my thoughts.

“Did I say that out loud?” I asked him and he looked confused.

“You asked me in the hallway,” he said and I nodded.

“Yeah that is true,” I say clearing my throat awkwardly. “So why are we here?” I ask and he proceeds to remove His suit jacket and put it on the couch before taking a seat. He patted the spit beside him for me to sit. I sat down leaving a reasonable distance between us. Not too small. Not too much.

“So I noticed you don’t exactly like living with Nichole in the same house so I decided to give you some privacy,” he said and I smiled. This was sweet. He was considerate (awfully).

“Then what are you doing here?” I ask him jokingly and he smiles a little.

“You don’t expect me to leave my pregnant wife all alone here in a hotel room do you?” he asked. I was sending down humor there.

“I’m not a child” I murmur trying to carry on with the joke.

“Then I will just go and stay with Nichole at home. I’m sure she will appreciate the effort” he said making more to stand up. My hands flew to his.

“Don’t go” I say meekly and he smirks.

“Sorry?” he asks as if he has a hearing problem.

“Don’t go” I yell and he nods sitting back down.

“Don’t be afraid. I will never leave you all alone” he said seriously.

“Is that a promise?” I whispered to him as he stared at me.

“A promise I intend to keep” he replied looking at me and I was officially dead with Noah. He just does sweet things out of impulse or nature. Is he wired like that? Or is he trying to be sweet to me?

“Better keep that promise,” I say going closer to lay my head on his chest.

“O I will,” he said and I smiled.

And truly it was a date
