Chapter 18

He stood up and left the tent, leaving me confused and... Heartbroken?

What the f*ck?

I could just stare at the wall of the tent.

Why the hell would he say that?

Did he really just want me for sex?

Then why would he choose a virgin?

Oh my god.

Maybe he made a deal with someone.

But then he wouldn't admit that he just wanted sex... Right?

I didn't even know what to think.

I pulled my fingers through my unruly hair and pursed my lips.

Oh well then.

Screw him.

I'm not even sure I like him.

It doesn't even matter.

I sat up, grabbed my crutches and walked out of the tent.

I dried my tears on the way to the truck, where I was certain I would find Lucky.

I felt like I needed a hug right now.

I was glad to see both Lucky, Oliver and Kylie sitting with one sandwich each.

"Hi Raven!" Oliver cheered, gesturing for me to come sit.

I slowly sat down.

"Are you feeling any better?" Lucky's soft voice wondered.

"Yeah, a little bit" And I was telling the truth, I did feel much better. My head wasn't hurting as much and

even though I still felt a little bit sick, my throat wasn't burning anymore. My heart felt a little bit colder

though.

"Where did Lucas go?" Oliver asked and I gritted my teeth and took a deep breath before answering.

"I don't know, he just left" I tried to act unbothered, but I'd never been a good actor.

"C'mon" Lucky said, grabbing my hand and dragging me away.

"Where are we going?" I whined, I wasn't in the mood for an adventure.

He didn't answer, he just gave me a warm smile and gestured towards the woods.

When we finally made it to the edge of the airport, where the forest began he sat down on a big stone.

I sat down, rather confused and made a grimace when I felt how cold the stone was against my bare

legs.

"So... What happened?"

I gaped, had it been that obvious?

But I didn't want to tell Lucky, since it was partly about him.

"I- I don't want to tell you, you'll think it's silly" I looked down at my knee and brushed some imaginary

dust of my blouse.

"C'mon love, just tell me"

I felt goosebumps form on my skin as he used that nickname.

Love.

How British.

"Well... We kinda almost kissed twice. And then he asked me if I liked you... And I said 'I dunno' and

then he was all like 'I'm a boy Raven, I just want some action' and I was like 'The f*ck mate'... But then

he had already left" I cringed at how pathetic I sounded and I whimpered under his eyes.

"He said that?" Lucky's voice was filled with concern and... Anger?

"Well yeah...? And then he said that someone like me obviously wouldn't give him any" I felt my cheeks

redden and I wanted to slap myself for being so weak.

"He's a f*cking dick" Lucky muttered and I chuckled.

"Yeah.." I agreed quietly and Lucky's cold fingers caressed my cheek.

"We should probably head back" I murmured after a few moments of comfortable silence.

He nodded and helped me stand up, handing me my crutches, which I had laid down on the grass.

We slowly made our way back and I rolled my eyes when I saw Tate waiting just outside our tent.

"Stalker much?" I spat, very cringingly and he just smirked.

I felt my nostrils widen out of annoyance and I just glared at him.

"Pms much?" He replied in a high pitched voice, mocking me.

"Actually, no" I flipped him off and crawled into the tent, ignoring his eyes on my back.

"God he's such an-" I began but I was interrupted by the annoying piece of shit once again.

"Sex God?" I heard his voice outside the tent and I growled, sounding like a freaking wolf or something.

"Calm down, puppet" I heard him laugh and Lucky was trying to sympathize but I could see him trying

to bit back his laughter.

"Really?" I asked when I was certain that Tate had left.

"He's seems like a fun lad, I wouldn't be so quick to judge him if I were you" Lucky said, like the oh so

very typical British boy he was.

"Thanks, boo" I heard Tate say from outside the tent.

"Oh god I thought he left" I muttered but then loudly added

"C'mon he seems like a f*cking douche, more dick in his head than down there"

Lucky shrugged and sat down next to me.

"Hey!" Tate yelled grumpily and his head peeked inside our tent.

"That's not very nice and for the record, my "down there" is pretty damn bi-"

I threw a shoe at him for him to shut up and he sat down in our tent.

"Ouch" He whined, rubbing his forehead, where I hit him.

"Stop being such a pussy" I laughed and he raised his eyebrows.

"You are what you eat" He replied and I gaped.

"Damn" I had to give it to him, that was a pretty god comeback.

"Ooohhhh" Lucky said and I hit him, still laughing.

Even though Tate was a cocky ass, he was actually pretty fun.

"We should totally-" I started but stopped when Lou entered the tent.

I gulped harshly and looked down at my legs.

"Cat's got your tongue?" Tate teased but when he saw my face he realized that it wasn't the time to

joke around.

Lou got into the tent, looking unbothered and grabbed something in his bag.

"I was just grabbing my gun, Oliver and I are going to shoot" He said, wickedly sending me a wink.

I saw Lucky clench his jaw, making it more prominent and if we weren't in this situation right now, I

would've made some comment about how hot he looked.

Screw it.

He looked sexy as f*ck.

"Uhm... Okay. Have fun?" Tate laughed awkwardly and waved.

Lou smiled and waved happily, exiting the tent.

"Bloody hell" I yelled when he left.

"He's such a piece of shit! How could he act so f*cking unbothered?" I asked incredulously.

"What...? Did I miss something?" Tate raised his brow and pulled his fingers through his dirty-blonde

hair.

"He's just a bigger douche than you" I crossed my arms and wrinkled my nose.

F*cking Lou.

"Should I feel offended?" Tate asked and I shook my head with a laugh.

"Naahhh" I found myself grinning and in a way better mood.

Well that was until Loren's head popped into the tent with a horrified expression visible on her face.

"ZOMBIES"

And once again, all hell broke loose.
