Chapter 933 Meet Greg (Part One)
Chapter 933 Meet Greg (Part One)
Soon the Jackson's family reached their villa. When Cherry got out of the car, she saw Lily coming her
way.
"You're back, Mrs. Cherry," Lily gushed, smiling ear to ear.
"I miss you too, Lily," Cherry replied. She stretched out, stepped forward and gave the old maid a tight
hug.
With a restful look, Cherry leaned her head on Lily's shoulder. She felt like she had traveled to the past
when she had lived with the old maid.
"Welcome home," Lily cooed in a motherly tone.
After Cherry let go of the embrace, she watched her intently. 'She got more wrinkles than I last saw her,
' she remarked.
"Thank you for your devotion to our family in the past years, Lily," Cherry said with a guilty air. She felt
sorry to have left her alone at home for so many years.
"Mrs. Cherry, please don't say that. I should thank you and Mr. Jackson. You gave me a place to live.
I've really enjoyed every day that I spent in the house. I am satisfied with such a life," Lily spoke. As
she expressed her gratitude, she held onto Cherry's hand and was reluctant to let her go.
"Mr. Jackson, Mrs. Cherry, Violet, welcome home," Bill broke in gladly.
"Bill, now that we're back, you will get busy," Violet grinned.
"I'm glad to work for you. Just let me know if I can be of any help and I'll be available at your service. I'll
try my best," Bill replied confidently, patting his chest.
Everyone burst into laughter in the yard.
"Let's get inside. The lunch is ready," Lily cut in, bringing their bout of laughter to an end, as they all
headed towards the house.
Once inside the house, Cherry surveyed the place, beginning from the at the living room and then the
dining room. 'So many years have passed, but there is no change in this house, ' she thought, secured
and happy.
"I have cleaned up your rooms as Mr. Lawrence instructed last night," Lily said warmly.
"I'm glad that I have a caring son," Cherry commented approvingly as she laid her eyes on her son.
She held him by the hand and praised, "Lawrence, you have turned into a considerate, excellent young
man. I am so proud of you."
"Come on, Cherry. It's unfair. Every time I cleaned up our room in Hong Kong, you never praised me,"
Jackson grumbled with feigned displeasure, but he was immersed in joy inwardly.
"Are you getting envious of Lawrence, Uncle Jackson?" Alice put in with a light touch.
The amusing manner of her question brought another round of hearty laughter reverberating through
the whole house.
Noticing that her parents and brother were engrossed in a conversation, Violet pulled Alice by the arm
and they walked to the balcony.
"Where did Tim go for lunch today, Alice?" asked Violet as soon as they were seated.
The question slightly surprised Alice. She stared at her friend in disbelief. "Are you going to join them?"
she asked.
"Answer my question first," Violet insisted. 'Greg is such a bastard. While I was away, all he did was flirt
with every woman around. Does he even care about me anymore? And why didn't Lawrence keep an
eye on him for me?' she mulled, seething with anger.
"New Era Hotel. No. 6 on the third floor," Alice replied. After a little hesitation, she asked with widened
eyes, "You're going there, aren't you?"
"Yes. I don't mind whether her father is the boss of the Finance Department or not. I will not spare
anyone who dares snatch anything from me, let alone my man," Violet declared with a resolute air. She
stood up, turned around and entered the living room.
"Wait, Violet," Alice cried, as she rose from her seat and followed.
Violet went straight to Lawrence and interrupted his dialogue with Jackson and Cherry. "Give me your NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
car key, Lawrence," she said brusquely while reaching out her hand.
"Why do you suddenly want my car?" Lawrence asked, a mixture of astonishment and confusion
written on his face. 'Why has she turned violent all of a sudden? I don't mind lending her my car. But
she should have been polite in asking. Why does she make it a demand?' he thought.
"I need to go out," Violet replied petulantly.
"Where are you going, Violet? We are just about to have lunch," asked Cherry with a little frown.
"I'm eating out with someone. It's an invitation that I wouldn't want to decline," Violet replied, trying to
feign excitement, but her gruffy moods betrayed her. The moment Lawrence took out his car key, she
snatched it from his hand and stormed towards the front door.
'What's wrong with her? Why did she go so wild as soon as she returned? What am I supposed to help
her?' He was overwhelmed by a ton questions. Cherry knew where her daughter was going. On their
way home, Violet had heard Alice's conversation with Tim. 'She must be going to Greg," she
speculated with some level of certainty.
"Where is she going?" Jackson asked, focusing his gaze on Alice.
"Well, Uncle," Alice uttered with a hesitant expression. As she turned to run into Lawrence's sharp
gaze, she told the truth. "Here is the thing. Greg treated me and Tim to lunch and he also invited Melisa
Ouyang. Tim called and filled me in. But Violet heard our dialogue. So she..." a sudden stammer
interrupted her otherwise frank explanation.
Lawrence finally understood what was going on. "I was wondering why she got so angry. Looks like she
got jealous. It turns out that she only cares about Greg, ' he thought.
"Follow her. Don't let her do anything stupid," Lawrence said to Alice.
"I see. Don't worry. I will keep an eye on her," Alice agreed meekly before rushing out of the house.
As soon as Alice was out of the door, Jackson shifted his gaze to his son. "Who is Melisa Ouyang?" he
asked, looking confused.
Before Lawrence could say a word, his mother broke in.
"Come on, Jackson. Violet is not a kid anymore. She could handle her own matters. Just let her be.
Besides, Alice is with her. Nothing will happen to her," Cherry said.
