Chapter 114 Promoted To Secretary (Part Two)
Chapter 114 Promoted To Secretary (Part Two)
Wilson was very happy to hear Cherry's words, and cheerfully said, "Okay, that's a deal then!"
The following day, Cherry went to work, and as soon as she arrived at her desk, she got a notice from
the HR BP. She was asked to hand over all of her recent work and then go to her new position in the
CEO's office area.
Cherry then spent the whole morning dealing with her work and did not finish the handover until it was
afternoon. Only after that did she go to the CEO's office.
When Cherry walked to the CEO's office holding her file box, she found that there was only one Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
secretary left there. She felt a little puzzled by what she saw, and wondered how Selina had arranged
the personnel.
When Selina saw Cherry coming in, she stood up and gave her a warm and kind reception.
"Hi, Cherry, here you are!" said Selina, while she walked up to her.
"Hello, Se… Ms. Selina." Cherry then suddenly realized that it was not appropriate for her to call out
her first name in the company, so she called her Ms. Lu.
But Selina didn't care about that at all. She beckoned to the other secretary there, and said to Cherry,
"This is Caroline Wu."
Cherry nodded to greet Caroline Wu.
Caroline Wu was also very polite, and said, "How do you do Cherry? We'll work together from now on,
and I hope that we can cooperate with each other as well as we can in the future."
"Well, I'm new here, and I will appreciate any of your help and advice, " sincerely said Cherry, with a
smile on her face.
Selina found that they got on well with each other, and believed that they could cooperate pretty well in
the future.
"Okay. Cherry, the administrator has already placed a desk for you and Caroline will give you a brief
introduction to your job description. I'll go out for now, and will be back after work. After that, we'll go to
the party together, " commanded Selina, who had changed back to the professional businesswoman.
"Yes, Ms. Selina, " nodded Cherry.
After Selina left, Caroline turned to Cherry, and said, "Cherry, let me show you your desk."
Cherry felt relaxed when she saw her new office, and had to say that indeed, Selina was very
considerate. The former working place, initially intended for four secretaries, had been changed for two,
and now each had a bigger space and a nicer environment.
After Cherry sorted out her own things, Caroline Wu gave her a brief introduction of her job and the
matters that needed attention. She admired Cherry very much, and she also knew that Cherry had
already worked abroad and was very experienced. She wanted to improve her working skills, so she
made up her mind to learn as much as she could from Cherry.
In the afternoon, Cherry was very relaxed. She only answered a few calls and checked Selina's
calendar to see what she needed to prepare beforehand for her.
When it was about off-duty time, neither Cherry nor Caroline Wu had any work to do anymore.
Caroline Wu found that Cherry was a little bored, and said to her, "Cherry, you're not busy, aren't you?"
"No, not at all. On the contrary, I've never had so much free time before, " said Cherry.
Caroline Wu smiled at her, and then said, "This is what a secretary's job looks and feels like. We have
both busy times, and lazy times."
As Cherry saw her sweet smile, a question suddenly came up in her mind, and she asked, "By the way,
Caroline, what about the other three secretaries? Are they still in the JS Group?"
"Yes, they are, " said Caroline Wu. She continued, "The three of them had been fed up with this job for
a long time anyway. They couldn't stand it anymore when Ms. Lu lost her temper, and they were often
complaining about it. At first, Ms. Lu only wanted one secretary to be transferred to another
department, but then all three of them requested to be transferred. After she thought about it better, Ms.
Lu agreed to transfer all of them, and now they're in the administrative department, dealing with other
chores."
"Oh, I see, " said Cherry. She now knew what was going on there. In the previous evening she had
been worried that because she would take over the position, the former secretary might hate her, but
now it seemed that she had only thought too much about it.
Caroline Wu continued, "Cherry, no one will put any pressure on you here. I'll give you a little tip: you
have to learn Ms. Lu's temper well, and make sure that you will never challenge her decisions; you'll
see then that everything will be just okay. In fact, Ms. Lu is very nice, although she looks august."
After she heard Caroline's advice, Cherry smiled at her, and said, "Thanks, Caroline, I really appreciate
your advice."
When Selina returned, it was already off-duty time. When she saw that both Caroline Wu and Cherry
were still there, she said, "Caroline, you can go back home now; Cherry, you'll come to the party
together with me."
After they heard Selina's command, Caroline Wu and Cherry looked at each other and smiled.
Cherry and Selina then headed downstairs together.
While they were in the elevator, Selina said, "Cherry, you'll leave your car here and drive my car
instead. Let's first go to your house and change your clothes, and then we'll go to my house. We don't
want to be late for the party."
After she said this, she looked at her watch and estimated that they had enough time for everything.
Cherry was a bit worried, and asked, "Your house? Are we going to the residential compound?"
Cherry was afraid that she might meet Andrew, because she didn't know how she would face him.
When she saw her nervousness, Selina smiled, and said, "No, we're not; I'm living in an apartment
outside."
When Cherry heard Selina, she took a long relieved breath, and immediately returned to her former
relaxed mood.
