Chapter 724: She Has Someone Else
While Azure and Gordon were investigating the person Audrey was meeting, Audrey had already arrived at an entertainment club. She planned to meet Chris there because Stella was also coming with her friends to play mahjong. Audrey’s goal was for Stella to discover her infidelity, speeding up their divorce.
In a private room, Chris was already waiting. After a while, the door opened, and Audrey walked in. “Have you found out which room Stella is in?”
“The Orchid Room. They’ll be done in half an hour,” Chris replied. “When they leave, we just need her to see us together.”
“Good, thank you, Chris.”
Audrey had called Chris to come to Auroraville for this purpose. Chris chuckled, “This is the first time I’ve done something like this. The Sterling family won’t come after me, will they?”
Chris was genuinely worried about Terrence confronting him for being involved in Audrey’s affair.
Audrey said, “There’s some risk involved. If you feel uncomfortable, we can still call it off.”
“I’m just saying,” Chris responded. “Of course I’ll help you. I just don’t understand why you’re doing this. Being Mrs. Sterling seems pretty good. If you get divorced, what’s in it for you?”
“I have my reasons; I’ll tell you later,” Audrey said wistfully. “His deep love isn’t a good thing; sometimes indifference is better.”
Chris was puzzled. “Don’t women want a man’s undivided love? Men like Terrence are rare.”
Audrey remained silent, waiting for Stella to finish playing mahjong.

Stella was having a bad day at mahjong and kept losing money. By the end of the game, she had lost interest but didn’t want to quit early and ruin her reputation as a good player.
When the time came, Stella decided to stop playing. “I’m done for today; I need to go home. I promised my granddaughter I’d play with her tonight.”
A friend teased her, “Stella, are you quitting because of your bad luck?”
“We’ll play next time,” Stella replied good-naturedly and grabbed her bag to leave.
Her friends were just joking and soon dispersed as well.
The driver was already waiting at the door to take Stella home. As she walked out while talking on the phone with Julian, she suddenly noticed a familiar figure.
Stella looked closely and her face changed dramatically when she saw Audrey arm-in-arm with another man not far away.
“Why is Meredith holding hands with another man?” Stella muttered to herself. “They look so close; something must be wrong. Could she be cheating?”
Julian on the other end of the phone was confused by Stella’s mumbling. “Stella, what are you talking about? Cheating?”
Stella quickly hung up the phone and rushed to find Audrey for an explanation but lost sight of her soon after.
Stella was certain she had seen clearly: Audrey was with another man.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Stella answered Julian’s call again and exclaimed, “Something’s wrong! Meredith has another man!”
“That’s impossible,” Julian dismissed her claim. “Don’t talk nonsense.”
“I saw it with my own eyes,” Stella insisted anxiously. “I’m going to my son’s house.”
After hanging up again, Stella asked the driver to take her to her son’s house. Neither Audrey nor Terrence were home; Terrence had taken Little Lucky out.
Stella asked the maid, “How have Meredith and my son been lately? Are they still sleeping in separate rooms?”
“They are,” the maid replied honestly. “It seems like they’re having a cold war; they haven’t spoken for days.”
“What? A cold war?” Stella grew more worried. “When does Meredith usually come home?”
“Sometimes early, sometimes late,” the maid answered truthfully.
Stella pressed further, “Has there been anything unusual? Any new acquaintances?”
Before the maid could answer, Terrence walked in holding Little Lucky’s hand.
“Mom,” Terrence interrupted deliberately upon hearing Stella’s questions.
He didn’t allow anyone to gossip about his wife behind her back.
“Son, something’s wrong,” Stella said urgently after sending the maid away. “I just saw Meredith being very intimate with another man-they were holding hands! Are you two fighting? Is Meredith seeing someone else?”
