CONNECTING STORY
Zachary left after finishing his exam, his eyes rolling to see where Samarra might go. It took him a while to answer a short quiz by Prof. Lichauco. Samarra was the first to approach them all. Two more transferees arrived almost simultaneously.
“Zach, hurry up; you’re as slow as a duck,” Enzo grumbled.
He sighed and tried to be calm, but damn! He had planned to beat Enzo’s face. He dashed between them.
“Jarem and Vince have already placed an order a Pizza House. They keep asking if we need to add order.” Primo said, holding the cellphone and looking at the two of them and Enzo.
“Where is Harken?” When Zachary noticed Harken was missing, he asked the two.
He suspected Harken had followed Samarra.
“Ah, washroom, but he-” When Harken tapped Enzo on the shoulder, he didn’t finish his sentence.
“What do you want to eat? Besides pizza, Jarem asks if we need to add more food.” Harken shrugged in response to Primo’s questioning.
“Please tell Jarem to go get some food. Don’t bother asking,” Enzo retorted.
Primo handed Enzo the phone. “Oh, you tell Jarem.”
“You two, just shut up. What do you want to eat? Besides pizza, Jarem asks if we need to add more food.” Harken shrugged in response to Primo’s questioning.
“Please tell Jarem to go get some food. Don’t bother asking, “Enzo retorted.
Primo handed Enzo the phone. “Oh, you tell Jarem.”
“You two, just shut up, and let’s hurry,” Harken reprimanded them as he walked ahead.
As they walked, he kept looking around, hoping to see Samarra. He was concerned because Samarra knew no one at the university. The wind blew him away as he remembered Samarra’s smile at Vince. He is jealous, whether he admits it or not.
Zachary frowned as he walked into the Pizza House. He turned to see where the loud laughter was coming from.
While sitting next to the guy, he overheard Samarra’s laughter. He was blown into the air after catching his breath. She didn’t look at him again after that. He had previously expressed his displeasure with their new classmate. He’s never been more jealous of others than he is right now. He walked right by their table. But Samarra didn’t seem to notice him. Damn! He appeared to want to punch the person next to him.
Samarra appears to be too preoccupied with laughing and talking to notice him. He sat directly across from Samarra and was easily visible. His palm clenched as he watched Samarra and the guy whisper in Samarra’s ear.
He cursed quietly. He had already beaten the guy in his mind.
“Bro, we asked if you wanted to add anything else earlier?” He looked surprised at Jarem while holding the menu.
Why did Jarem bother to inquire? They’ve got food on the table.
“You’re spacing out yet again, Bro!” He noticed Enzo’s mischievous smile on his lips as he turned his gaze to him.
“Don’t get me started on it, Enzo,” he quickly warned because he’s a teaser once again.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
As Primo, Harken, and Vince make small talk. Even though the pizza had already been served, Jarem and Enzo were busy adding food. On the other hand, he fixed his gaze on Samarra’s table. He doesn’t know, but he is terrified. Afraid? Samarra might prefer something different. He believes he can’t take it any longer.
Is he already in love with Samarra?
“What’s wrong with you?” Jarem gave him a tap on the shoulder.
With a frown, he asked Jarem, “What?”
“Are you fond of Samarra?” Vince asked him out of the blue when he noticed his gaze was drawn to Samarra’s table.
“What?” he asked, sighing and looking at them.
“Oh, come on, Zachary, that’s my Super B; don’t fall for her,” Enzo warned.
“I’m not in the mood, Enzo,” he warned as he became irritated. Among their seven friends, Ivo and Enzo have the same temperament.
“Do you know who she is? Have you ever spoken to her? “He inquired of Vince as he ate pizza.
“Not exactly, but I met her two or three weeks ago. I’m not sure,” Vince explained.
“And?” Harken’s intriguing joint piqued Vince’s interest.
With Harken’s question, Vince concluded his discussion.
Enzo laughed at Harken’s stare and punched him in the stomach. Even he was irritated by Vince’s failure to elaborate on his story. He was also curious about how his jacket ended up at their house. But he didn’t want to draw attention to himself, so he kept the questions to himself.
“How about you?” he inquired of Harken.
“He hasn’t met her, but?” They returned their attention to Enzo, who was now smiling broadly.
They already know Enzo’s motivation for the mischievous smile on his lips.
“But, what?” Jarem asked impatiently, his brow furrowed.
“He hasn’t met her, but he’s been looking for Samarra for a long time. Another thing is that we have already encountered her,” Enzo informed them.
Their attention was drawn away from Enzo and toward Harken.
“What? I didn’t hurt her in any way. “Harken defended himself when he realized everyone was watching him.
Zachary sighed and fixed his gaze on Harken. He’s a man, so he recognizes Harken’s gesture indicating that he likes Samarra.
“Why are you on the lookout for Samarra? What do you expect of her? As far as I know, Samarra is new to the university, “Zachary questioned Harken coldly.
He was curious about why he was looking for her when he knew Samarra was not leaving their home. Except when she was out for a jog in the village. Knowing Samarra is more often than not just in the study room. It’s not like other women prefer to go out to eat or shop.
“We last saw her about a month ago, if not longer. That sort of thing. That’s it, then, “Enzo stated.
Because of the nonsense story, he wants to punch Enzo. It causes his blood to boil.
“Is that it? Son of? Enzo,” Jarem was already losing patience.
“Who are you referring to?” Primo inquired, confused.
“Samarra,” Jarem said quickly.
“Who is Samarra?” Primo inquired as he cut a slice of pizza.
“Ah, Samarra is the transferee,” Vince responded quickly to Primo.
“Vince, where did you meet her?” Zachary stated that he was curious about how and why his jacket ended up at their house.
Vince shook his head. “Not exactly, but I did see her in Mistletoe Village once.” Vince’s response made him nervous because their home was in that village.
Did Vince realize he and Samarra shared a house?
“And?” Harken inquired as to his eyes comprehensive.
“That’s all.” Vince chuckled as he ate his pizza.
Harken wiped his face in exasperation at Vince. Harken has a short temper, so he believes Vince’s situation is deteriorating. Because he, like him, is already angry.
“Alright, we saw her at Zafaria Mall when Dad told me to conduct a random check.” Zachary looked at Harken as he paused in his speech.
“Then, he hit her, and Super B became enraged because our friend is conceited. He didn’t apologize, “Enzo continued Harken’s narrative.
“His buddy has experienced the knee kick from my Super B.” Enzo laughed audibly.
They exchanged glances before erupting in laughter at Enzo’s story. Zachary smiled when he recalled that he had experienced the same situation.
“Oh, we’ve already told you. You? How did you meet Super B?” Vince was approached by Enzo.
“Like I said. Samarra was in Mistletoe Village when I saw her. She’s running. She’s dressed in a sports bra and high-waist cycling shorts. Then she requested assistance. I let her in and gave her a jacket because I was nice. Then?” When Vince looked at Zachary, he was surprised. That look was sifting through him.
“Oh, why are you looking at me?” he wondered.
“I drove Samarra to the Buenavista Hotel because she requested it. Don’t you know who she is?” Vince inquired.
“No, I just saw her,” he confessed.
When Vince asked the question, he found himself in the hot seat. But he could breathe because he knew why his jacket was in their house.
“I believe he knew your older brother Zeke because we went to the bar together. When I arrived at the hotel, I noticed her holding the keycard to Zeke’s penthouse.” After Harken answered Vince’s question, Zachary exhaled a sigh of relief.
Save by the bell!
