Chapter 50: Stress Reliever 

"Mommy, I missed you so much," Liam said to Scarlett while being tucked into bed.

Scarlett smiled and pecked on his cheek, saying, "I’m sorry, baby.I had a very busy – busy week.I hope you did well in school.Boris tells me you were practicing with Jake a lot."

Liam nodded, and then he yawned.

"We want to join a talent contest.I hope you’ll be there for the show."

"That’s good.Just remind me about it, okay? Get some sleep."

Scarlett lay beside him for a few minutes, simply humming the young boy to sleep.

Only after seeing that Liam was sleeping like a rock did Scarlett make her way to Kaleb’s study.

"I missed out a lot."

Taking a deep breath, Kaleb reported, "Kitten, I might travel more often in the months to come.Kyle has expressed that managing the corporation has become more and more demanding.He thinks it is best to separate the Diamond Hotels altogether."

"Kyle is proposing that I take over the Diamond Hotels completely, as the chain’s CEO.Either that or create a new company for Diamond Investments, but Kyle is more knowledgeable about the corporation’s other ventures.It is more fitting for me to take over the hotels."

"I’ll be very busy.I’ll be twice as occupied compared to how you have seen me before.I will have to travel now and then to check on the other hotels," Kaleb added.

"I’m worried about Liam.I just hope, when the time comes, you’ll consider living with me.If not, I understand.I won’t force you either "

Cupping her chin, he declared, "You were right, kitten.You need time, and I suggest you take all the time you need."

"Because of me, you barely had sleep, and you still went to work, even brought work home with you."

"Yes! In a flash, you had the military at your will!" Scarlett pointed out.

"And everything else, actually."

"And others? Are connections because of business."
