Chapter 34

"Stacey, why are you working for him?" asked Blake.

"I need the job. It pays well." she lied. She can't keep the eye contact so her eyes went down to her

plate. She is not used to lying but she can't tell him the truth.

He sighed. " Well I have to agree that it is better than singing at the bar. My only concern is the way he

looks at you. I don' trust him a bit." Blake said with knitted brows before glancing at the table where

Nick and his date are.

She also looked at their table but only for a few seconds. She saw that the woman's hand is on Nick's

cheek and she seems to be pacifying him.

He is not only high-handed! He is also a womanizer! What a cheater! If only Heather treats me like a

sister and doesn't put me in trouble, then I would tell her that her arrogant boyfriend is here with

another woman! She thought.

At this moment, she forgot about her attraction to him. Her dislike is surfacing. She should really stop

thinking about him so she decided to just focus her attention to Blake.

She readied a small smile for him. "Let's change the subject. I want to know why you asked me to dine

out. "

He returned his eyes to her. " I missed seeing you at the bar every night. " he seriously said..

She frowned slightly. " Hmm.. I don't think that's good. You can't fall for me again, okay? It's a no-no! "

she joked.

He chuckled. It was a very sexy sound. He leaned on his chair then crossed his arms on his chest.

"That reminds me..last time we were together you asked me what I liked about you before, right? "

"What is it?" she asked. She put down her glass.

"If I don't have a girlfriend, do I have a chance with you now Stacey? " he asked sounding serious.

She didn't expect that so she gaped at him.

"Your plan better work Tanya." he said after gulping some of the Juve y Camps Brut Nature Gran

Reserva 2010 in his wine glass.

"It will work babe, trust me. But you should go easy on the booze."

They don't want any heavy meal so they are just having jamon serrano with their wine.

"Stop looking at them so you won't get pissed. If you will just let me, I will take care of you later. I will

make you happy just like in the past, babe. " Tanya said huskily after moistening her lips. She is looking

at him with smoky eyes.

"No dice Tanya."he said with a firm tone.

Now because of Stacey, the more that he doesn't want to rekindle his sexual relationship with her .

She released a smile which doesn't reach her eyes. She turned her head to the right. She finds the

man Nick's slut is with, very attractive too. He will be a perfect substitute for Nick. She just has to wait

for the perfect time. Anyway she is sure that Nick will not go out of this place without his slut and that

would suit her fine. If she can't have him tonight, she will try her luck with that guy. It has been such a

long time since she has been laid. She thought Nick called her because he changed his mind. She has

been missing how she used to mouth-f*ck him. She felt annoyed that he called her to pretend to be his

date for that woman. But she will just play along with what he wants for now. Sooner or later, she will

taste him again. She smiled at him before pretending to be busy with her phone.

"Why are you asking me that question now Blake?" Stacey is frowning slightly. Blake leaned forward

and touched her hand.

Unfortunately, Nick saw everything. Blake's hand on Stacey's. He furiously stood up. Even Tanya

couldn't stop him this time.

"Miss Ledesma! Can I have a word with you?! "he asked in a chilly voice.

Stacey and Blake turned their eyes to him. Nick has very grim expression. His eyes are steely and he

is breathing in gasps. Tanya appeared behind him.

"Babe.." she called Nick but he didn't even look at her. His eyes are on Blake.

Nick finally snapped due to jealousy. Tanya planned something more subtle but out of anger, Nick lost

control. Now Tanya is worried that Nick won't be able to do what he said earlier which is not to smack

the other man.

Blake also stood from his seat. He looks angry too. "You are being disrespectful! Don't you see that

Stacey and I are talking? She is with me okay?!" he growled.

Stacey rose from her chair too. Nick's expression is alarming. He looks ready to hit Blake. They are

already causing a scene so she has to do something quick.

"Blake, it's okay. Let me talk to my boss. I'm sure it's something important related to work." she told

him.

The two men are glaring at each other but Nick's expression is scarier. Stacey doesn't know why Nick

is angry but she can't let them hurt each other. Both are well-built but since Nick looks more furious, he

may have the upper hand.

Blake got her hand to pull her to his side. She swallowed when she saw how Nick's expression became

more menacing. She quickly got her hand back from Blake when Nick made a movement to come

closer to them. She is scared to death. She feels that any moment now her boss will act violently. Then

Tanya walked to go to Blake's left side.

"Let them talk. Let's just wait for them here." she said to Blake.

Stacey almost sighed in relief. At least the woman is trying to stop a possible brawl.

"We won't be long Blake. " she looked at him with her eyes pleading. She is thankful that he turned his

head to look at her.

He seems unconvinced at first but after a few seconds, he just nodded at her before turning his head

again to glower at Nick.

(Nick)

FUCKING HELL! The bastard is acting like her boyfriend! he furiously thought.

He felt all the blood came up his head. Without thinking, he grabbed Stacey's arm to get her away from

the fucking asshole. He will deal with him later....

"Hey!" the a*shole tried to stop him from walking away with Stacey.

"Don't even think about it..." he threatened and he was about to grab him by the collar but Stacey went

between them.

"Blake please..let me just talk to him."

"Sir is there any problem?"

He heard one of the waiters asked. Without responding to him, he pulled Stacey by her arm.

(Stacey)

Nick dragged her outside.

"Sir, where are we going?" she asked nervously.

She frowned when she saw two suspiciously looking men eyeing Blake's motorcycle.

"Sir wait!" she told Nick.

She has to tell Blake about them. They might do something with his big bike but Nick continued to pull

her to his car after throwing her an angry look. He opened the car's door andshoved her in. She didn't

protest because his grim expression is sending shivers down her spine.

She asked him where they are going but he ignored her so she just sat quietly and looked out the

window as he drives. She wants to ask him a lot of questions but she chose to wait. He is still in a foul

mood. It finally sank in that her monster boss will do whatever he wants regardless of the people who

will be affected. Like now, he just left his date just like that.

She felt relieved when she noticed that they are heading to her stepfather's house. But before he

turned to their street, he pulled over on the side of the road.

"How many men are you seeing?!" he angrily asked.

An expression of disbelief crossed her face. She turned her head to look at him.

"I beg your pardon?!" she asked with her eyes wide.

His mouth is set in a thin line. She discovered that when he is angry, a muscle jerks in his right jaw. It's

so unfair that however furious this condescending man is, he still looks so damn hot and he smells

wonderful too.

She tried to shake off what she just thought.

(Nick)

He is breathing raggedly. Tanya had a better plan but it went to waste because he is jealous as hell. He

wanted to stay calm but it all went out of the window because he saw red.

That f*cking a*shole is still lucky that I didn't beat him to a pulp! He angrily thought.

"Last Saturday, you were with your former boss and now with a different one?! Didn't I tell you that I

don't hire immoral employees? How many men are you dating? A different man each day?" he asked

through gritted teeth.

She is afraid of him but she is also starting to get annoyed again.

" I told you that what I do outside your office is none of your business ! You are being unreasonable!

You have no right to be angry and act this way!" she said in a cold voice.

"Believe me Stacey, I have all the fucking right..." he said menacingly.

What he said and how he is looking at her made her heart skip a beat.
