A kiss stolen
“I remember what happened.”Beatrice uttered to Gregory in their flight back to America.
She was sitting at the opposite row to his.
He stared at her with a boggled expression.
“Remembered what?”he scoffed.
“What.. happened that night.”she gulped down.
She could feel her face heating up and that made her to bite down on her bottom lip.
He gazed away from her.
“You were drunk. I will let that slide.”
“From what I can remember, you kissed me first.”she said.
He threw his head at her direction.
“Me?. No way?. You– You were begging for a kiss, and, I had no option but to give that to you.”he defended.
For the first time, Beatrice noticed a streak of redness on his face.
He just blushed!
“I don’t remember you being a kind man in the past.”she taunted him further.
He bats his lashes and scoffed.
“Well.. you… were drunk and being drunk is the same as being dead. I just wanted to be kind to a dead person. Yeah, that’s it.”
“Why would you want to be kind to a dead person?”Beatrice perched her brows up at him.
“Well. i.. like I’ve said, because she was like a dead person that moment. I heard being harsh to them could actually make them get the thought of committing suicide.”he swallowed hard.
Beatrice laughed silently.
She was enjoying the foolish side of him.
“But, I am not dead.”
“What?. I mean, yes, you are alive. But.. that lady was dead.”
“I am that lady.”she pursed her lips.
He stared at her and shook his head.
“I am not sure you are. Anyways, let’s end this talks about who is dead and who is not.”
“I just want to know why you kissed me, Mr Gregory.”
“Well, must you know that?”
“Yes, I must. You stole my lips without my consent.”
“But, that’s your lips sitting pretty on your face.”he pointed.
They both gazed at each other and quickly threw their faces away.
“Whatever. Just don’t do that again. Being a thief doesn’t suit you.”she blinked her eyes.
“Yes..”he nodded but then turned to her.
“Hey! I am not a thief.”
“What?”
“Well, basically, you are my wife!”
“.. on papers.”she crossed her arms on her chest.
“But, you should still perform the duties of my wife.”
“Article nine under section three of the contract didn’t support that. I only have to flash smiles at the cameras.. and kiss your palm.. that’s all.”Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Consider what happened that night as me kissing your palm then.”he coughed.
“Section three also stated that doing that should be if the moment called for it.”
“That night was sure a special moment.”Gregory blurted out.
His eyes spreads out and he placed his finger on his mouth.
“I am just going to go help the pilots out.”he stood up.
“I thought you are a business man. How does flying a plane correlates with doing business?”
“Well, it’s the same thing. Flying a plane is just like a business. You have to be careful on where to land on as that could..”he cleared his voice.
“No. I think I should sleep instead.”he went back to his seat and sat down.
Beatrice giggled within herself.
Seeing him restless gives her so much joy.

After some hours, they arrived at the airport.
They settled in their ride and the driver began driving away.
All these while, Gregory has been avoiding making eyes contact with her.
They got to a lone road and the car screeched to an abrupt stop, making them jerk back in the car.
“Huh?”Beatrice mouth opened, slightly.
“I apologize, boss. I will check what’s wrong with it.”the driver said and got down.
He examined the tyre and shook his head.
“Boss. We’ve got a flat tyre. Also, it seems some nails were set up here.”he came back to the car and informed Gregory.
He creased his brows.
“Nails?. Who would dare to do such?”he scoffed.
“Anyway, boss. It’s better you stay in here. I’ll call other boys to bring a vulcanizer to fix this.”
“No. I don’t like crowds. Just get a vulcanizer here.”
“But, bo–”
“Will you listen to me or not?”Gregory frowned.
“Alright, boss. I.. I will do as you have instructed.”he went out and started dialing a number.
“I think we should get the boys to come here. Think about it too. Why is this road so lonely?.. no other cars.. nothing.”Beatrice sighed.
“The person that placed nails on the road is probably playing around.”Gregory replied.
“Hm. However, it is better to prevent than to cure.”Beatrice muttered.
Gregory rolled his eyes.
He clicked the door opened and stepped out.
He went to check the tyres out too.
The driver turned to his direction and,
“Boss, please, go back inside.”
Gregory stares up at him.
Who is he to tell him about what to do?.
At the same time, a gunshot sounded.
Beatrice blocked her ears.
She turned sideways to see a bullet has been pierced into Gregory’s arm and.. another one at his back.
She gasps.
Fvck!!!!
