Scott's P.O.V

"I don't love you. I have never loved you. You know what, it was all a bet. The first person to break

down one of the bad boys' wall gets a countless pass to one if the best clubs in New York. How could I

miss out on that deal and so I won. I broke down your wall. Gosh, you were so easy to fool. I don't love

you Scott Ryder. Get that in yo-" I woke up. God, why does she have to be in my dreams. Its really

infuriating. I went out for a run to calm myself and as I was running, someone bumped into me. I

frowned my face and was about to ask what was her problem but then it turned into recognition and

confusion.

"Miss Emily?" I asked.

"Good morning sir" her soft voice said. God, it sounds just like mi- hers.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you my name. I am your boss. My name is Scott Ryder, CEO of Ryder Enterprises

as you already know" I told her but she looked as if she was sick and feeling dizzy,

"Miss Emily, are you okay?" I asked but then she fainted and then I caught her,

"Miss Emily! Miss Emily!" I didn't know what to do. I didn't know her house and I hated hospitals and I

knew I couldn't take her there so I had no other choice but to take her to my house.

She blinked her eyes as she tried to wake up.

"Miss Emily, are you okay?" I asked yes idiot, she's okay and that's why she fainted in your arms a

voice said in my head. She opened her eyes,

"Where am I?" She asked.

"Your in my house" I replied.

"Why?" She asked.

"Because I didn't know your house" I replied as a matter of fact.

"You could've just taken me to the hospital. I could've known it was you" she said. Wow, she's so

ungrateful. I just saved her and now she's telling me where I could've taken her. Wow,

"Well, your welcome" I said and continued,

"If you want to leave so badly, you can go but I want you at the company 8:30 am sharp" I said coldly. If

she's ungrateful, I will teach her a lesson,

"Bu-"

"8:30 sharp"

"Now you can leave miss Emily" I said and opened the door giving her a bitter smile and she left. I

started getting ready for work. Let's see if she won't show up late.

"Miss Emily, you are late" I said which made her to stop walking, she turned around and looked at me

but then I realized she was checking me out. I was about to smirk and ask the famous line 'like what

you see' thing but then remembered I was angry at her,

"I said Miss Emily you are late"

"I'm sorry sir, I had to get my little sis-" I don't care

"I don't care. I told you to be at the office by 8:30 and this is 8:50. You are 20 minutes late. I don't care

about your sister. I bet she's just as lazy as you. Your so poor you can't even buy an alarm clock. I

really am surprised about how you got this job. I think I ne-" she cut me off,

"Shut up!!! Shut up!!!" And then she did the one thing I hated people doing, she started crying

"You don't know how much it hurts. The way you insult me. We are poor people, yes and that's why i

am working to get money okay?. I have to take care of my little sis-" she stopped and looked at me. I

was about to burst out laughing,

"Why are you laughing" she asked irritated.

"Sorry for everything but your face is too funny"

"How?" She asked.

"Your lenses, its kind of remov-" I stopped and continued staring at her. Her eyes, they're violet. They

look just like mi- her ey-

"What?" Emily asked bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Your eyes, they're violet" I said and then she widened her eyes and looked like a kid who's been

caught stealing candy and then she ran away. I kept calling her but she didn't answer,

"Miss Emily please wait, Miss Emily! Miss Emily!" She kept running and then I gave up. Well, I'll just

see her at the staff meeting. I started walking to the meeting but then I was bumped into. I have getting

bumped into lately and it always turn out to be the same person, Emily.

"Oh my God, am so sorry sir" she said. I looked at her eyes and saw they were green. I didn't know if

they were actually violet or green.

"Its okay"

" Uhm, are your eyes violet?" I asked hoping she would say yes.

"No they're not. Maybe didn't see well" She said nervously which means I couldn't believe her but I just

decided to follow her tune.

"OK. If you say so. We are having a staff meeting right now and we can go together well, that's if your

okay with it?" I said

"Yeah, no problem" she said and I was happy. We went to the room And was welcomed with gasps

from people. I just inwardly rolled my eyes and then left to the podium to speak to them,

"As you already know, we are now about to seal the deal with the woods for the construction at the oil

industry site and so to do that, we are going to be having a masquerade dinner party next tomorrow.

That's all for now. Your dismissed" everybody started leaving but then I wanted to talk to Emily so I

called her back,

"Miss Emily"

"Yes sir?" she answered

"Are you going to the masquerade dinner party?" I asked hopeful she would say yes because it wasn't

compulsory for staffs to come but I was hoping she would say yes,

"No sir. I can't come. I'm busy that day" she replied which made me disappointed. I really wanted her to

come.

"Okay but you will be in the office early on Monday. I admit what I did today was not nice but to be Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

honest, just because I let you go off the hook once, doesn't mean I'll continue. Understand?" I told her.

"Yes sir" she replied.

"Good, now get back to work" I said and left the room.
