Chapter 428
Chapter 428
$31 171. Philip and Barbara’s Honeymoon
Louis and Emily waved with bright smiles. Even though they couldn't join in, they shared in the joy of the new couple. “Bye, Auntie and Uncle Philip! Happy honeymoon! Have fun there.”
“Let us know when you arrive! And don’t forget to send lots of pictures.”
Barbara chuckled excitedly. “We won’t arrive until tomorrow, Emily. But we'll definitely let you know later”
“Okay, Auntie.” The twins hugged Barbara then Philip. Then, pressing their backs against Frank and Kara, they waved their hands again.
Philip and Barbara waved back with happy faces. Then, holding hands, they entered the departure gate.
“Woohoo!” Barbara spread her arms while facing the ocean. Her face looked up, challenging the bright sky that stretched out above their
ship. “It's very beautiful, Philip.” Her eyes closed, enjoying the cool breeze on her cheeks. “This will be the best trip I've ever had.”
Seeing her cheerfulness, Philip smiled slightly. “You’re so excited, Babe. | almost thought you were Louis.” He held Barbara’s waist, making sure that his wife didn’t lose her balance.
Barbara chuckled. “Yes, I’m so happy we can honeymoon in Lofoten. This place is like heaven.”
“But we’re not there yet. We're still at sea. That,” Philip pointed to the mountain range ahead, “is Lofoten.”
Barbara let Philip embrace her from behind. The man’s warmth added happiness to her heart.
“Phil, how about we take a picture now? The twins will be wondering where we've gotten.”
“That’s a great idea. Should we ask someone else to take photos?”
Barbara nodded. Then, she turned around and found two girls who were taking selfies on the other side!
“How about we ask them for help?” Barbara took out her phone.
“Let me ask.”
After a nod from his wife, Philip walked towards the two girls.
“Excuse me-”
“Oh, what a coincidence. We need someone to take our picture. Can you help us, Sir?”
Philip raised an eyebrow. But then, he moved Barbara’s phone to his left hand and took the blonde girl’s phone. “Thank you. We owe you a favor. But, can you take a picture from a lower angle? My face looks better from there.” “Me too,” the red-haired girl said, glancing meaningfully at her friend.
“Okay.” Philip took a few steps back and took their photo.
“One more time,” the two girls asked as they shifted to another corner. Philip patiently served them. One take, two takes, ten takes.
Seeing that Philip was busy taking photos, Barbara’s eyebrows began to furrow. “Those girls.... How long are they going to trouble Philip?” She walked over.
“Honey, shall we take a photo now?”
Philip finally lowered the strange girl’s phone. His eyes brightened when he found Barbara. “Of course. We can take pictures after | finish helping these girls.”
“They still haven't finished?” Barbara raised an eyebrow.
“It seems I'm a bad photographer. They’re always dissatisfied with my results.”
“Then, let me do it.” Barbara extended her hand.
Seeing her phone move into Barbara’s hand, the blonde girl’s smile faded: However, just before Philip’s gaze fell on her, her lips curved beautifully again.
“This is my wife. She’s an expert at taking pictures.”
The two girls couldn’t help but nod and fake friendliness. When
Barbara gave the signal, they followed lazily.
“Okay. Please check the results. Is it still not good enough?” Barbara handed the blonde her phone. Just a second the blonde looked at the picture, she nodded. “Good, thank you.”
“Now, do you mind taking our picture?” Barbara took the phone from Philip’s hand and handed it to her. The two girls glanced at each other.
“Of course.” The blonde received the phone.
“Thank you.” Barbara hurriedly put her arm around Philip and pulled
him to the side. “We want a view of the mountains in the distance as
well. Can you take that?”
The blonde smiled crookedly. “I will try.” After taking some photos, she returned Barbara’s phone.
“Thank you for helping us,” said the girl, not giving Barbara a chance to speak. A second later, she turned her head to face Philip. “And you too. Thank you very much, Sir. Now if you'll excuse me. It’s a pleasure to meet you here.”
Barbara’s jaw dropped wide. When the two girls left in a coquettish manner, she sighed in disbelief.
“Isn't it obvious that the two of us are on our honeymoon? How could they dare to tease you?”
Philip chuckled and rubbed Barbara’s back. “Patience, Babe. That’s the risk of having a husband as handsome as me.” “Are you happy they stole glances at you?” Barbara lowered an eyebrow.
Laughing louder, Philip shook his head. “I’m not happy, but I’m proud. That means I’m equal to you. We are a beautiful and handsome couple.”
Philip kissed the tip of Barbara’s nose. Receiving such sweet treatment, Barbara’s annoyance faded. “I'm definitely prettier than them, right?”
Philip nodded. “Obviously, my wife is the most beautiful girl in the world.”
Shrugging her shoulders, Barbara smiled. “Okay. Next time, let's not ask flirtatious girls for help.” “Agreed. But if the picture isn’t good, don’t complain, okay?”
Barbara laughed lightly. “It’s not just young girls who can take good pictures, Phil.”

Barbara checked another picture. “Gosh! Why is it skewed? And this?” Barbara’s lips pursed. “She clearly hates me. How could she focus the image on you? Why am | blurry? Am a ghost?”
Philip hurriedly took Barbara’s phone. Without further ado, he turned on the front camera. “We seem to have chosen the wrong person. Let's just take a photo ourselves.”
“But the view would be invisible. We should have brought selfie sticks, Phil.”
Philip extended his arm, looking for the right angle. “Well, it's not so bad. The mountains are visible, the ocean too, and you look prettier. Smile, Babe.” Philip kissed Barbara’s cheek while taking picture.
In an instant, Barbara's anger dissipated. She glanced at Philip with round eyes. “I am not ready!”
“But the result is good. Look! Let’s just send this to the twins.”
“No! Let's do it again.” Barbara put Philip’s hand back up. This time, her smile bloomed.
Behind the window, two pairs of eyes were watching them. One person was confused, the other was sullen. “| think they’re a new couple. You have no hope of getting close to him again, Shania.”
The blonde glanced at her friend with disdain in her eyes. “Don’t you know your best friend, Poppy? | always go after what | want. That guy....
She pointed her finger at Philip. “I’ve been watching him since | came to Bodo Harbor. He’s the man of my dreams. He will soon be mine
Poppy sighed in resignation. “Yeah, yeah, but he’s married.”
“That’s what makes me wonder. What makes him like that nosy girl? She’s not cooler than me.”
While Poppy nodded faintly, Shania patted her shoulder. “You're willing to help me, right?”
Poppy stared wide eyed. “Help you with what?”
“| heard that the first three months are a test for newlyweds. The
strength of their love is tested. If it is not strong enough, they will definitely separate.”
“Then? What do you want?”
Shania smiled crookedly. “We'll plant doubts among them. Now, let’s formulate a strategy. My plan can’t fail.”
