Chapter 824 Surprising Amnesia
Chapter 824 Surprising Amnesia
Just when Emily couldn't think of a solution, something popped into her mind.
"By the way, did you guys see what happened on the plane? I forgot to call Winwin."
Emily felt that she had overlooked something very important and started looking for her phone as she
spoke.
"What are you calling for?"
Daenerys asked, puzzled.
"Show my concern and ask if this trick is working."
As she was to call, Daenerys grabbed her phone.
"No need, I've already called her. It did not work but bring her bothers."
If it had worked, Daenerys wouldn't have looked so sad.
"What is in Winwin’s mind? Brian is sincere. It's been so long, and Brian has been apologizing, but
Winwin has not forgiven him. They had kids, why doesn’t she give him a chance?"
Emily's thoughts had changed because her mood had all changed after she forgave Leo, so she felt
that there was no point in being stubborn. Love when you want to love, give up when you want to give
up, this was the passion, this was the love.
She felt relived after she forgave Leo, did not need to guess, did not need to hide from each other and
did not need to be tormented.
"Her situation is more complicated and different from yours. They'd been together and separated. But
did you ever see Winwin happy? Do you think she was in the same mood as you guys are now when
she was with Brian?"
Daenerys could understand Winnie's unforgiveness and knew that Winnie had always been deeply in
love with Brian. Loving but not being able to accept it was probably the most painful thing for Winnie.
"It's different, Winwin has never been as joyful as I am from the inside. And Winwin always gave me
the feeling that she always had something in her heart, like she knows a lot of things about Brian and
then still buries it in her heart without saying anything."
Emily gave this answer.
"Yeah, you're right. I've also been feeling like Winwin knows something about Brian but keeps it to
herself. Anyway, no one in love has had it as hard as she has."
Daenerys o noticed this unexplained condition of Winnie's and wondered what she was hiding, let
alone what her intention was in hiding it.
"I think the problem lies with Brian. He's cautious and careful, deliberately concealing everything. If he
had been more sincere and honest with Winwin, there wouldn't have been so many misunderstandings
at all."
Emily couldn't help but complain about Brian. Loving a woman but leaving that woman scarred wasn't
love, but harm.
"He probably has his difficulties. My husband said he suffered from amnesia after the car accident and
now there are times he can forget things. So he's cautious and careful, critical about everything."
"Maybe he's not deliberately hiding something, maybe he's forgotten it."
Daenerys understood how difficult it was for Brian after hearing all this, she just felt that Winnie
shouldn't be a victim of these difficulties.
"Amnesia?"
Emily and Leo were both surprised, they had never heard of Brian having amnesia before.
"Well, it's been years. The aftermath of the car accident. He's supposed to have forgotten a lot of things
to make it so mysterious."
It didn't take long for Daenerys to know, but after knowing that, she felt that Brian was pitiful.
"I don't think it's a big deal to lose your memory, as long as he makes it clear with Winnie, things will not
be that complicated."
"Winwin always keeps things inside. Doesn't this create distance between the two of them? They will
be separated even if they are together under such situation."
Emily suddenly felt that there was no hope between Brian and Winnie, one had amnesia and the other
speculated wildly without checking or communicating, such a love could not work out.
"Does Winwin know that Brian has lost his memory?"
Leo, who had been silent, finally opened his mouth.
"Yes, but she is still disappointed in Brian."
Daenerys would have been disappointed too, after all, such a Brian made people feel no sincerity.
"I don't understand what exactly Brian is trying to do. He can't tell Winwin, why don’t he let her go? Why
make a fuss on the plane?"
"By the way, what was Winn's attitude about that?"
Emily couldn't understand why Brian couldn't move on but had to dwell on the past memories. Without Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Winnie in the past memories, anything important, it was no big deal to shed them.
"Winwin doesn't forgive him. There's no way she'll give him a chance, no matter how much he makes a
fuss."
"It looks like Wynne has really made up her mind."
Daenerys now would not believe that Brian and Winnie would be together. It had been a while since the
misunderstanding was revealed, no matter what Brian did, Winnie did not forgive him.
"It is understandable, but I am sorry for the two kids."
Emily was at a loss, not knowing who she should support.
Winnie was ill-fated and her love was full of thorns. It was all probably exhausting for her and there was
no more energy left to continue entangling with Brian.
Once again, Finn came to C City to attend a meeting, and contacted Winnie after the meeting.
At this time, Winnie was in class. She replied his message before continuing with her class.
After class in the afternoon, she hurried out to meet Finn.
Walking out of the school gate, Winnie saw Finn standing at the door waiting for her.
"You are here so early,"
As Winnie's words fell, she arrived in front of Finn.
"Well, I came early so that we can go shopping. I promised my daughter to buy her a present, but I
don’t know what she likes."
"Will you come with me?"
Finn invited in a formulaic manner, Winnie raised the corners of her mouth.
"Why does it feel like you're talking to a suspect, like I have broken the law?"
"I have got used to it, please forgive me."
Finn smiled, feeling that he did speak with a close connection to his work.
"Well, as a police officer, I understand."
"Come on, I'll take you to buy a present for your daughter."
Winnie said, but she realized that she could only take bus.
"There's a bus stop up ahead, let's go take the bus. I can't take a taxi, I'm sorry."
The shadow of the taxi still lingered in Winnie's mind, and she felt that this shadow would stay with her
for the rest of her life.
"I borrowed a friend's car, so let’s drive there."
"Well then, it's easiest to drive there."
So Winnie followed Finn to the car.
Finn had a doubt that why Winnie could not take a taxi, and why she did not drive the car she used to
drive.
He hadn't asked this question until the two of them were eating dinner.
"No offense, but where is your car?"
Winnie smiled bitterly.
"Well ...... actually that car is not mine, it was loaned to me by Brian. But now that I drew a line in the
sand with him, so I wanted to return the car to him."
That was the reason why Winnie wanted to take bus. She had given the car key to Brian, but Brian
refused to take it. She had to put the car key in the janitor's room, and the day she left, Brian would
send someone over to pick it up.
"I thought the car is yours."
"Can I ask a question?"
Although it was gossipy, Finn asked cautiously. He was afraid that Winnie would be sad at that.
"Go ahead."
Since Finn had raised it, how could Winnie refuse to answer?
"Why can't you take a taxi?"
Finn wondered about both questions, but he was not sure if he was being abrupt.
Winnie was silent for a moment before giving a reply.
"There's always been a psychological shadow because I'd been kidnapped by a taxi. Seeing a taxi stop
next to me scared me, taking your breath away."
Winnie answered truthfully, saying that was not as scary as when she experienced it firsthand, or as
real as when she met the taxi. So now she could face it and wasn't very scared.
"Kidnapped? It's amazing to me that you've been kidnapped ......."
It was normal for a police officer to experience a kidnapping case, but this incident happened to Winnie,
and he found it unexpected.
"Brian was part of the reason, and I didn't expect I would go through something like that. I even killed
myself to preserve my innocence, and I almost die from bleeding out."
"I've been through ...... Well, I don’t want to look back."
Winnie felt her heart ache and couldn't say anymore. If she continued, she would break down in front of
Finn.
"What happened before has gotten into your mind, hadn't it?"
Finn lowered his voice and asked Winnie slowly but steadily. But he was shocked and felt incredulous.
He hadn't expected that Winnie had gone through such a painful thing. Being kidnapped was horrifying,
and physical assault was unexpected.
And he had even less idea where Winnie got the support to hide it all so well.
"Yes."
Winnie gave an affirmative answer with her head bowed.
"Didn't you receive counseling from a psychiatrist after what happened?"
Finn continued to ask. Winnie looked fine on the surface, but there was a dark corner in her heart. If
this matter could not be completely dug out from her mind, she would carry this shadow for the rest of
her life.
"No, no one even realized that I needed to see any psychiatrist. And I didn't have any extra mind to
care about myself at that time. You know, I had a complicated relationship with Brian, and he ...... he
probably wouldn't have thought of that."
Winnie didn't call Brian heartless, nor did she complain about Brian's neglect of her spiritual health.
