Her Wicked Ceo (Abigail and Liam)

Chapter 385

Chapter 385

Before Jane continued, Abigail interrupted, "Okay, enough of all this chit-chat. Let's get back to work

now. Didn't you say everyone was on the alert? Hurry up and work!" Abigail urged.

Jane nodded and acted accordingly without asking more questions. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Abigail went back as well. However, as soon as she opened the design drawing, Liam's expression just

now popped up in her mind...

He did look like a stranger to her.

Abigail found it difficult to describe her feeling at the moment.

She didn't know how to get along with Liam every time she thought of what he had said last time.

Maybe she was supposed to let it be.

They should keep a distance.

That was the best way for both of them.

Thinking of this, Abigail forced herself to concentrate on the work.

When Abigail and Jane had lunch in the restaurant, Jane gossiped about Liam again.

"This is weird. Why didn't Mr. Jones lose his temper when he came back?" Jane said.

Abigail was eating when she heard these words. She asked smilingly, "Why should he?"

"Well, in the past, Mr. Jones would become extremely irritable if you were now around. But this time he

didn't!" Jane replied.

She specifically emphasized that Liam used to change because of Abigail.

Abigail paused for a moment and then continued eating. "Aren't you relieved that he could control

himself this time?"

"Yes, but I still think it's weird!" Jane said.

Abigail ate and didn't say anything.

Something occurred to Jane suddenly. She leaned over to Abigail, gossiping. "Abigail, Olive didn't

come to work today. Did you notice that?"

Abigail nodded.

How could she not notice the sharp gaze in the office that had always been fixed on her disappear

today?

"This is another weird thing. Normally, Olive wouldn't take a day off when Mr. Jones came to the

company. There must be a reason why she didn't show up today!" Jane deduced like a detective.

Abigail was amused by the words.

Unsatisfied with her smile, Jane turned to Abigail. "What's so funny?"

"You've reached a higher level!"

"What?"

"You're way beyond gossiping now. Maybe I should call you Miss Love Detective."

Jane realized Abigail was making fun of her. "I'm serious, okay?"

"I know you're serious, but there's no point in wasting our time on those things. Hurry up. We have to

work later!" Abigail said.

Jane blinked at Abigail and leaned closer out of the blue. "Abigail, do you know any inside story?"

"What?"

"The atmosphere is strange between you, Mr. Jones, and Olive. Did something happen?" Jane asked

curiously.

Abigail raised her eyebrows. "What do you think?"

"I don't know. That's why I'm asking you!"

"If there was anything, do you think I could keep my job?" Abigail asked.

Jane didn't know what to say.

"So, nothing has happened. Now finish your lunch quickly!" Abigail said.

Jane didn't pester Abigail since she obviously didn't want to talk about it. However, Jane had developed

a hobby of gossiping for years, so she could feel there must have been something between the three of

them.

Take the moment when Abigail met Liam today as an example. They might seem to be avoiding

suspicions in other people's eyes. But Jane, a voracious reader of love novels, concluded immediately

that the two of them had got into a fight as a couple.
