Chapter 96 A night to remember

BRIDAL SHOWER NIGHT.

Elle smiled and placed the crown on her head. The room was decorated with balloons and flowers. Elle was wearing a white dress with a tag of "bride to be". She took several photos and sent them to Jason. She just needed to get this over with. She smirked when she recalled what she asked Jason to do. She would soon be going there anyways in disguise. Lauren was coming over and she had to pretend to drink and play with her but she would make sure to spike her drink and make her sleep off.

The door bell rang and Laura opened the door. She faked a smile when she saw it was Lauren and Deborah. They were both beautifully dressed and adorned with jewelries.

"Please come in.." She ushered them in.

TWENTY MINUTES LATER.

"Woah! Tonight is a great night!" Drunk Lauren yelled and Elle smiled. She looked at Laura and winked at her. Soon she fell on the bed and slept off snoring. Both Elle and Laura stuck hands together. They covered her with the duvet and turned off the lights and they walked out. As they came out, they met up with Damien who was coming in with Deborah, holding hands.

"Woah! Lovebirds…" Elle smiled.

"Elle, Jason just called. He said everything us set. Tyson is already dead drunk.." Damien said and Elle laughed. Her eyes went to Deborah and she saw the gloomy look on her face. She sighed.

"Deb, I'm sorry. I know this will hurt because they are family members but I'm really sorry…" She said and Deborah sighed.

"I understand. I just hope when all these is over, they will understand the gravity of what they have done and change for the better. I really want them to change.." She said and they all nodded.

Elle walked up to her and hugged her.

"Thanks a lot for understanding and thanks again for loving my best friend. I promise that when all these is over, we all find peace with what we do.." She said and they broke the hug.

"I'll get ready in a minute and we will get going.." Elle said to Damien who nodded. Damien turned to Deb.

"I'll be back soon.." He said and kissed her forehead.

She smiled and nodded then they both walked out.

MADISON'S MANSION.

Tyson groaned and staggered. Jason held his arm and then guided him to his room. He turned on the lights and then Tyson staggered and they both fell on the bed.

"Gosh!" Jason groaned and stood up from him breathing heavily.

"This is what I get for helping you.." He scoffed and adjusted his clothes.

"Elle, I can't wait. We are getting married tomorrow.." He said drunkenly and Jason smiled.

"Getting married my foot. You can't get married to my future wife. I'm sorry Tyson but tomorrow will be the worst day of your life. I'm sorry you are the victim.." He said and touched his hair. By now, Tyson was already sound asleep, snoring.

He then walked out. As soon as he came out, he saw Elle dressed in a black hoodie and black joggers. Her hair was packed into a ponytail and she wore a face cap. Damien was also behind her dressed in all black. The both of them were dragging James to his room. Obviously, his drink was spiked with the truth serum. He looked at him and at that instant, he felt great pity for him. No matter what happens, James remains his father, his flesh and blood. His heart still ached for him. But then he remembered when he confessed about killing his mum to be with that witch. He cheated on his mum also while she was still alive. He closed his eyes and clenched his fists and then he opened them.

"How about the maids and the guards?" He asked.

"Damien knocked some of them out and the others drank the sedated juice, so they are all unconscious.." Elle said.

"We also turned off the CCTV cameras so everything we would do today will be clean.." Damien added and he nodded.

JAMES'S ROOM.

James was seated on a chair, his head thrown backwards. Elle was seated in front if him.

"James.." She called and he smiled.

"Did you kill Mr and Mrs Anderson, Asanel's parent?" She asked.

James scoffed and smiled.

"Of course, I did. They wouldn't stop meddling in my affairs. Both the wife and the husband found out many hidden things about my business which are meant to be secret. And worse, my son was madly in

love with their daughter, I hated that fact. She even had the guts to get pregnant for my son. I had to wipe them all off the surface of the earth including that unborn baby of hers.." He said and Elle clenched her fists tightly. If not for self control, she would have beaten him up so badly.

"And why did you tarnish their reputation? They didn't do anything wrong right?" She further asked and James laughed.

"I had to tarnish their reputation when they didn't want to stop their investigations. That's the only thing that could ruin their effort…" He said and she scoffed as tears ran down her eyes.

"So what exactly is the secret business?" Elle further asked.

"Come on, we do all kinds of jobs. Drug trafficking, child and human trafficking. Selling of illegal firearms.." He said.

"And what about your wife? Jason's mum? Why did you kill her?"

James scoffed when he heard that.

"I loved her. I loved her a lot but then we began having arguments. I met Lauren and she supported me, we started a relationship and she got pregnant. Things got worse when she found out about all the illegal businesses I had and she threatened to rat me out, I had to silence her. I killed her finally and got married to Lauren and brought our two kids home.." He narrated and Jason wiped off the tears off his eyes.
