CHAPTER 37

I looked around the restaurant to figure out where Ridwan was sitted then I saw his hands waving at

me to come in his direction. I was actually really glad to see him, that was one huge effect he had on

me.

"Hey" I said as I sat across from him.

"Hello, thanks for coming to see me" Ridwan said.

"Do you want anything" he asked so he could order for me.

"Just a drink"I answered then he called a waiter to get it for me while he also ordered a drink too.

We both sat in silence probably waiting for one of us to start the conversation. I didn't know where to

start from or even what to say. I had everything planned and rehearsed in my head before leaving

home but surprisingly it felt like I didn't have a plan again like I thought I did.

"You go first" we both said simultaneously

"You start" I said after

"I just really want to say you should not get divorced from me. I promise to be a better man for you"

Ridwan said rather scared.

"No one is getting a divorce Ridwan at least not now" I said Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

"Then please come home" he pleaded.

"That I am not doing, we still have a lot of things to settle. Issues unattended to or solved and if we go

back like this we would have the same issues we had before"i explained

"But I am willing to change Tes, I have realized all my mistakes and I am really sorry. I didn't realise

how much I was hurting you and felt I was protecting you. I am sorry" Ridwan said.

"Why didn't you tell me about Sarah"I suddenly asked and Ridwan was surprised about how I probably

got to know.

"Salma told me everything"

"I don't know, I probably felt it wasn't so important"

"It was Ridwan, it is something that is still affecting you till today and affected our marriage too

because you still blame yourself for everything and feel you have to male up for what you didn't do for

Sarah with me and that's why you kept trying to keep me boxed and out of everything because you felt

it would keep me safe but I can protect myself and you didn't understand that" I explained.

"I am sorry I didn't mention it to you"

"You should have because then I would have been able to help you and we would have worked on it

like a couple. We could have fought this before it destroyed our marriage" I said

"I am sorry I let that happen, I didn't realise a lot of things until now and I really hope it's not too late

because I really love you Tes, I really do love you" he said and I could see the sincerity in his eyes. He

didn't even need to tell me, I knew he still loved me and it made me even more willing to work on US

together.
