Chapter 310
Chapter 310
Emily didn't expect Franklin to put her under house arrest. He did that to her again. Did he really think
that she was a pushover?
"Franklin." Emily went upstairs angrily and shouted.
"Hush, hush, hush. Don't wake the child up." Franklin quickly walked out of the bedroom and hushed
her.
Bryce had always been taken care of by Emily. But Emily had no experience raising a kid, and she felt
boys were not that vulnerable and she hadn't treated him as nervously as Franklin did.
So she didn't realize what her loud voice would do to Bryce at all. She continued to ask loudly, "What
are you doing? Let me ask you, am I forbidden by you from going out? How could you do this? How
could you go so far? Is it fun to put me under house arrest?"
"I didn't put you under house arrest. I am just protecting my property." Franklin said coldly as he pulled
her downstairs.
Emily snorted coldly, "Your property? Am I your property? I'm a human being. Besides, I belong to
myself. When did I belong to you?"
"You are my wife, so of course you are my property. But now my property wants to run out. What's
wrong with me forbidding you from going out?" Franklin asked back.
Emily was so angry that her face turned red. She found that she could not reason with him, so she
pointed at him angrily and said, "Franklin, you are unreasonable."
"Emily, who is unreasonable? You wanted to pretend to be another woman and send my son away to
pretend that he's someone else's son. Have you considered my feelings? Yes, I know he's your brother,
but so what? You've just met him, and you don't even know him well. But you've given birth to my child.
Why do you consider my feelings? Do you think it's simple to pretend to be a couple? Do you think Mrs
Williams is an ignorant old lady who would be fooled by you? Emily, can't you stopped being stupid?
You are happy even though Daniel deceived you."
"What do you mean? Do you mean Daniel is lying to me?" Emily questioned.
Franklin snorted and gave her a disdainful look.
Although he didn't say anything else himself, she could tell what he meant.
Emily was so angry that her face turned red, but she did not continue to yell at Franklin.
She still had a sense of right and wrong. Although Franklin was petty and always liked to make a fuss
and overreact about her things, he never made up things. Since he said so, perhaps there was
something wrong.
Emily asked patiently, "How do you know he's lying to me?"
"Anyone who's not a fool can tell," Franklin said coldly.
So he was saying she was a fool. Asshole. He did that again. He never made things clear but forced
her to guess.
"Okay, I'll believe you for the time being. But I have to ask Daniel myself. I don't believe he's lying to me
on purpose. I have to hear the truth from him." Emily was about to walk out.
The people at the door still stopped her.
Emily turned to Franklin and said, "Before I ask him myself, I will not believe your words."
Franklin's eyes darkened. He really didn't want Emily to leave.
The outside world was dangerous. Everyone was coveting his beauty. He felt like as soon as he
allowed her to go out, she would be taken away immediately.
But he thought about what he had promised her before, and he also wanted her to completely give up,
so he waved his hand and asked the bodyguards at the door to let her go.
However, he was still worried and said to Emily, "Wait for me for a while. I'll go with you."
"What about Bryce?" Emily pursed her lips but couldn't conceal her smile, but she was worried about
the child.
Franklin said, "We have a nanny at home. And Lisa will come back later, she'll take good care of him." Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
Emily was relieved to hear that Lisa would come. Although Lisa had been in trouble one after another,
she was still very reliable. It would be best to leave the child to her.
The two of them set off together. Mickey drove for them.
After arriving at the Williams, Emily didn't let Franklin get out of the car, but called Daniel first. She was
afraid of bumping into Mrs Williams.
Franklin frowned and asked, "You even have his number."
"Of course, I have to contact him," Emily said.
"Hello, Daniel? This is Emily. I'm outside your house now. Is your mother at home? If she's not at home,
I'll go in. If she's at home, I won't go inside. I want to talk to you face to face. I can't explain it clearly on
the phone." Emily said to Daniel.
"You can go in! My mother is visiting a friend. She won't be back today." Daniel said.
Emily immediately said happily, "Okay, I'll go in right away."
"By the way, did you come alone or with Franklin?" Daniel asked.
Emily said, "With Franklin. Don't worry! He had accepted it."
Franklin gave her a grim look. When did he accept it? She was so bold.
Emily playfully stuck out her tongue and comforted him with his eyes, "Don't be angry. Don't be angry."
"Then come in alone! I don't want to see him," Daniel said.
She hung up the phone and looked at Franklin with an awkward smile.
Franklin asked with a sullen face, "What's wrong?"
Emily smiled awkwardly and said, "Can you wait for me in the car? Or you can go home and take care
of the child. I'll be out soon."
"Daniel won't let me in?" Franklin asked coldly.
Emily immediately patted his shoulder comfortingly and said, "Don't be angry. You've told me that you
would quarrel as soon as you met. He doesn't mean anything. He doesn't want to come into conflict
with you. Just listen to him. Don't go in."
"Nonsense. I think he's afraid that he can't fool you." Franklin said coldly.
Emily said quickly, "Don't always say that. He's not as bad as you say. He's my brother anyway, he
won't hurt me!"
"Well, if you want to go in, you should go in. You'd better know his true color as soon as possible. Then
we'll go back to Lancaster and never have any contact with him again." Franklin knew that no matter
what he said, the problem couldn't be solved at all.
It was better to let her in, and she would know why he was worried when Daniel made his requests.
"Honey, you're so nice." Emily kissed him on the face and got out of the car happily.
Franklin touched his cheek and smiled bitterly, signing, wondering why he should suffer such
grievances.
