He Got Me Pregnant

Chapter 40: Why Me?

Chapter 40: Why Me?

Everything is surreal for me. Everything feels so unbelievable. I can still remember that it was just last

few months that I had that urge to make my awful revenge to Daryl. That urge that I wanted to hurt him

so bad. That I wanted to fucking make him feel worthless.

“Daddy?” My baby Blue asked again.

I don't know why I feel like something sharp struck me deep. I don't understand.

I looked at Daryl who's not saying anything but just looking at my son intently. He didn't even move and

just watched our son in his dark grey eyes. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“Yes..baby.” He whispered in his hoarse voice.

I looked away. I don't want to see this emotional thing keep coming. I don't want to see this but my eyes

is betraying me.

“Momma he is our daddy?” My young Blue said.

I nodded. “Y-yes. Baby.”

My Blue was shocked. He didn't say a word but instead he runaway.

He run into the room leaving me and Daryl alone.

Daryl's eyes were now on me. He took a deep breath.

He was about to get up and walk when we heard them running to us.

Red and Blue were both smiling widely while looking at Daryl.

“Look Kuya! He's our daddy!” Blue said to his big brother.

Their both almond eyes were wide open and I just knew it when they jumped and hugged Daryl.

“We were waiting for you to come, Daddy!” Red said.... a bit broke.

I looked away again. This scene gives pain and tears on me. I can't stay like this longer.

“I'm sorry. I promise to make it up.” He whispered and carried them both.

Before walking, he looked at me wearily and I can feel that he's angry.

I just looked away; I can’t keep this going. This is making me more stressed.

The media never stopped bugging us till now and the fact that my children were happy that Daryl was

here and that he is their father is even more complicated.

Will they hate me when they find out that their Mother was a mistress. And they are not legal and they

are the fruit of their Dad's madness years ago? That would be painful, and hurting my children is the

last thing that I want. Well...I never ever want.

I went to the door as my sons and their father was on the sala, playing something.

I looked at the door camera and saw no one there. Maybe the media never made it inside the building

since Daryl became so strict about that matter.

This is so weird that he's protecting us but not his wife. Making everyone see it like he's choosing us.

“I will go out for a moment.” I said.

My children watched me as I watched Daryl directly in the eye.

His dark gazes were sharp, making my veins tingle in unexplainable sensations.

“Don't go anywhere.” He said.

I looked at him irritatingly.

“I'll be out for just a moment.” I explained.

He clenched his jaws while his arms were still holding my children.

“I'll come with you.” He whispered.

I didn't mind it. I feel awkward when two pair of eyes were watching us intently. My baby Blue was

smirking a little bit and this is making me feel so awkward like hell.

I went out. I didn't even wait for him to say anything or such.

I just walked straight the hallway and went directly to the elevator.

When I'm on the ground floor. The doors have a lot of paparazzi. It was at distance but since the doors

were all glass, I can see them from here.

One of the groups noticed me even though I was wearing simple clothes. They started shooting

pictures from the outside, then I immediately walked away from there.

I went to the cafe and grabbed some chocolate drink. I can't keep my eyes from the door since

everybody was acting erratic right now. It seems like I am their life and survival.

“Miss it was an order that you should never make face on the media.” I think the Manager of the cafe

said.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I watched her nervous strict face.

“Why? For what?” I said.

She gulped. “It was all over the news, Miss. Boss Daryl wanted you hidden as long as he can because

the media will probably make stories about you and him again especially that you are seen here in the

building till now. What would our lady boss think about this? You could have gotten some decency

about yourself.” She said.

That was like daggers in my heart. I know this is not new anymore but this fact still hurt me.

So, everyone is thinking that I am really a mistress and that Daryl kept me hidden to prevent hurting his

wife even more.

“I am not your boss's mistress, excuse me. I have enough decency to look for someone else without a

wife.” I just said and walked out.

“Hello miss! How can you keep standing while ruining someone's life?”

“How can being a mistress be important than your career?!”

“How can you steal the man of the woman who gave you a job?!”

Those were the things I heard while walking.

I stopped in the middle.

I dropped the chocolate on the floor and it spilled.

I walked like a supermodel in the runway till the door.

The guard looked at me in disbelief and tried to stopped me from what I must do.

“Get off.” I warned him.

“Ma'am please go back to your unit.” He said.

I can see how the media became crazy as I started to argue with the guard.

“Give way or you'll lose your job.” I said.

He gulped. “I will really lose my job from what you are trying to do, Ma'am.” He said.

Because I'm angry and frustrated I pushed him with all of my might and get out.

Once I'm out, the media put their microphones on me and started asking me a lot of questions.

I sighed and closed my eyes.

“I am not his mistress, he is not the father of my children, he did not choose me rather than his wife.

He..he is just concern..he is just drunk when he said that into that party. So please leave us alone.” I

said.

Someone wanted to ask me more but the security pulled me back inside again.

My heart broke..my tears started forming in my eyes.

I looked at everyone who's disgustingly looking at me.

Why does in this place always gives me heartache. Why does it's always me that is supposed to

suffer? Why me?

I wiped my tears and walked away.
