Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Chapter 628

Debra closed her eyes and let herself fall backward into the abyss.

Juan's pupils shrank, a deep, raw terror rising in his chest. He stumbled forward, trying to reach her, but it was too late. He could only watch as her body disappeared into the raging sea below. "Debra!" he cried out.

His chest felt like it was being ripped apart.

The two mercenaries watched with indifference. One of them raised his walkie-talkie and spoke in a flat tone. "Boss, the target has been taken care of."

Juan fell to his knees, his vision clouding with red. Debra's last words echoed in his mind.

"Avenge me."

Slowly, he turned to face the mercenaries. "Tell Drake. I will hunt him down. I will kill him."

The mercenaries exchanged amused glances. They didn't take his threat seriously. There was no way someone so broken could take on a man like Drake.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

As they approached him with their guns raised, the sound of a gunshot suddenly echoed from outside the cave. The mercenaries froze, turning toward the entrance. Footsteps grew louder and louder. They made a break for it, but they didn't get far before they were captured by a group of men.

Marion and Randy burst into the cave. Randy was the first to spot Juan, who looked battered and bloodied.

"Marion, he's here," Randy shouted.

Marion rushed over, his eyes wild with panic. "Where's Debra? Where is she?"

"She's down there," Juan replied, his voice hoarse and empty.

Marion froze, disbelief washing over him.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"I told you. She's down there," Juan replied, his eyes losing their light.

Marion ran to the edge of the cliff. Below, the sea stretched endlessly, waves crashing violently against the but there was no sign of

"You were supposed to protect her. How could you let this happen?"

Marion grabbed Juan by the collar, his eyes bloodshot with fury.

"Marion, calm down."

Randy pulled him away, but Juan remained motionless, his body and mind numb with despair.

He had watched helplessly as Debra jumped off the cliff.

His composure had cracked. He couldn't believe he had failed to protect her.

"The priority now is to find her," Randy said urgently.

"Yes, find her," Marion muttered.

He was in a state of chaos, his feet unsteady. He had never felt like this before.

"You and Juan, stay here. I'll go get help and call a doctor," Randy said.

He noticed the blood on Juan's leg, likely a gunshot wound. If not treated
