Chapter 30
Third-person narrative
It’s been days since Jasmine and her mates have been together, and so far so good, Jasmine couldn’t wish for anything more.
They seem to have softened around her as they do their best to respect her decisions. They were always together, and Jasmine has gradually become the envy of every female student.
Who wouldn’t want three alpha males doting after them?
“Goal!” the crowd roared as one of her mates scored.
The brothers were playing basketball on the school field with a few of their friends, as Mia cheered and Jasmine watched with a small smile on her face.
The brothers had their shirts off as they flexed and showed off their skills as much as they could to impress Jasmine.
Anytime anyone of them scored, they would dedicate the goal to her as loudly as they could, letting everyone in the court know that she was theirs, even though it wasn’t a secret.
People still looked at Jasmine weirdly, and some even went as far as murmuring their disapproval about her union with her mates.
They didn’t like that she was a rogue and was to be mated to the future pack alphas.
But Jasmine didn’t care about what people said or thought, as she tried to keep her thoughts happy all the time.
“They’re really trying their best to impress you; you should cut them some slack,” Mia said to her friend, her eyes not once leaving the ball as it bounced around in the court.
“Why do I need to do that?” Jasmine laughed. “It’s fine to mess with them once in a while, so let me have my fun.” Jasmine said, with a calm smile.
Mia laughed at this, knowing that her brothers being mated to Jasmine was the best pairing the Moon Goddess had ever made.
They needed someone who would not feed their narcissistic ego and someone who would not give in to their demands so easily. Mia couldn’t think of anyone that would fit that role apart from Jasmine.
Just as she was about to open her mouth to say something else, her phone, Jasmine’s phone, and every other person’s phone in the court pinged at the same time.
Mia frowned, and instead of pulling her phone out of her pocket, she leaned close to Jasmine to see what it could be.
Jasmine clicked on the message, and it opened up text from an unknown number. She clicked on the file that had been sent, and a picture popped up.
In the picture, she could quickly recognize the brothers, but that wasn’t the only thing. Each one of them was completely unclad and was seen kissing and having s*x with different strippers in a hotel room.
They all seemed so into it that they didn’t notice the picture being taken, or maybe they didn’t care about people getting to see their shameful act.
Mia gasped, but Jasmine was so shocked that no words left her mouth. She slowly looked up, and it seemed every single person in the court had gotten the same message.
They all started pointing their fingers and laughing at her. She could hear some words that some of them were saying, and they weren’t even trying to be subtle about it.
“I knew this day would come.”
“…serves her right.”NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.
“I never liked her anyway.”
“She doesn’t deserve them.”
Upon hearing the commotion, the game that was taking place on the court had been halted. The brother had taken a look at their phones and had seen the message.
They realized what had just happened, and they all turned to Jasmine, who was already staring at them, the pain and humiliation evident in her eyes.
She stood up from her seat slowly, and they started making their way towards her. Just as they were about to get close to her, Mia stood in their way.
“Don’t even think about it,” she growled angrily at her brothers.
The brothers were taken aback; they had never seen Mia that way before.
“Say whatever you need to say from there,” she said through gritted teeth.
“Jasmine…” Calix started, his voice cracking. “Jasmine, please listen to us. This was taken a long time ago. We would never do anything like this now that we have you.”
Ethan and Zane chipped in, trying their best to get Jasmine to believe them, but what they didn’t know was that she couldn’t even hear them at all.
Jasmine had gone numb, and she felt like a shell of herself. It was as if her soul had left her body. She couldn’t see or hear them at all. All she could think of was how she wanted to get out of there as fast as she could.
The pain and humiliation she had suffered at the hands of the brothers, not only since she found out that they were mates, but all her life, wasn’t something she felt she could continue to handle.
She was human, after all. Only an angel would be able to endure all those things and still be able to put up with more that she knew were to come.
Slowly, she put one foot before another and started making her way out of the court. The only thing she could hear were the mocking laughter and comments.
Mia held back her brothers, who had already started following Jasmine out of court. She shouted at them to give her time and explain everything they wanted to later.
Immediately, Jasmine was out of sight of the people in the court, so she started running. She didn’t know where she was running, but all she knew was that she wanted to get away from everything, as far away as she could.
As she ran, not even one drop of tears fell from her eyes. She didn’t know if it was because she had expected something like that to happen at least once.
But even though she had kind of expected it, it still hurt. She could almost physically feel the pain in her chest.
Just as she was about to round a corner, she ran into someone. She was pushed back but was able to stop herself from falling. She looked up to see who it could be and possibly apologize, but when she looked up, she was shocked by what she saw.
It was Noah, standing there with a worried look etched on his face. He moved closer to her, trying to help her stand straight.
Ever since Jasmine caught Noah cheating on her, she had not seen much of him. It was almost as if he had been avoiding her until now.
“Are you okay, Jasmine?” He asked her, in a voice laced with worry and Jasmine nodded her head. “Are you sure? Why were you running?” he asked her.
Jasmine contemplated whether to tell him about what had just happened but decided not to. It was better to keep it to herself.
“It’s really nothing. I just felt like running for a bit. The breeze is kind of refreshing,” she lied, forcing a smile to her lips.
Noah c****d his head, finding it hard to believe but letting it go.
“There’s something I really wanted to say to you, but I haven’t had the courage or time to,” Noah stated.
Jasmine could already tell her what he wanted to talk to her about. She really didn’t want to hear about it, but she needed something to distract her from the thoughts that were eating away at her.
“Go on, I’m listening,” she said.
“I’m really sorry about what happened that day. I really didn’t intend to hurt you by having s*x with someone else; I was just angry that you slept with those brothers, and I wanted to get my pound of flesh. I immediately regretted my actions after I saw how sad my actions made you feel. I am truly sorry,” he said with a sad look on his face.
Jasmine sighed before giving him a reply.
“You have nothing to be sorry for, Noah. It wasn’t your fault. If anything, you were just acting out of hurt, so I truly understand,” she shrugged.
“You’re really not angry?” He asked, his expression showing that he was a little surprised at how easily she had forgiven him.
“No, I’m not.” Jasmine shook her head, and Noah sighed.
“I am so happy to hear that,” he said. “It seems you don’t really have anything to do at the moment, so would you like to go with me back to my place just to hang out? You know, talk things out,” Noah requested, a hopeful smile on his face.
But when Jasmine didn’t say anything for a while, he continued.
“Come on, we haven’t spoken to each other in a while. It’s just to hang out, that’s all,” he said with a devilish smile.
Jasmine sighed, finally giving in. It wasn’t like she had anything else to do. Her initial plan was to spend the evening with her mates, but at that moment, she could not even stand them. Moreover, she would need a change of environment to keep her thoughts together.
“Alright, I will go with you,” she said, and Noah smiled.
They turned around, heading in the direction that led to Noah’s house.
It seemed Noah hadn’t gotten the message with the picture in it, so she wouldn’t have to talk about it with him, she thought.
She was hopeful that going with Noah to his place would take her mind off the pain and humiliation she felt from her mates’ betrayal.
