Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 843

"Is this what they call karma?" Jules exclaimed, dead serious. Tommy:

"..."

Wasn't Féraphine supposed to be the reserved type? Why does she seem so chatty now? And what's up with Jules today, being so sharp-tongued?

Tommy felt his patience wearing thin. "You should probably check on Abbey first."

Crimson strode in, yanked off the blanket, and without a second thought, stripped Abbey's clothes right off. No one saw that coming, especially with all the male bodyguards in the room. They quickly turned away, but not before catching a glimpse of things they shouldn't have. Jules was exasperated; Crimson was really something else, completely unrestrained.

"What are you doing?" Tommy was fuming. Was Féraphine doing this deliberately?

"Treating her," Crimson retorted with an eye roll. "How am I supposed to see her injuries if I don't take her clothes off?"

You could've given a heads-up!

Tommy felt like he was on the brink of a meltdown and quickly ushered the men out of the room.

Abbey's body was a canvas of burns, both large and small, a sight that was hard to stomach, but Crimson seemed unfazed. In fact, she thought it wasn't enough.

Without warning, she slapped Abbey hard across the face.

The sound echoed in the room.

Tommy was taken aback. "What on earth are you doing now!"

"I have my methods. Stop questioning me. If you don't trust me, I'll leave, but you're not getting your money back!"

Tommy: "..."

"Alright, get out of here. You're just in the way," Crimson dismissed him with a wave, looking like she couldn't care less.

Tommy's temper flared again. Sure, talented people often had their quirks, but did she have to be condescending? Still, thinking of Abbey, he stepped out.

Once he was gone, Crimson turned back to Abbey, took her hand, and methodically broke her fingers one by one, then carefully set them back.

Abbey couldn't react to the world

around her, but she felt

everything-the excruciating pain that seemed to reach her very soul. She couldn't even cry out for help.

The sound of breaking bones was chilling, but Crimson remained unfazed, glancing at Abbey casually. "Girl, just don't get it. Where'd you

find the nerve to mess with Flora?"

With a cold chuckle, Crimson felt a bit avenged. She took out the medicine Flora had given her, pried open Abbey's mouth, and poured it in.

This would wake Abbey up.

But it would also make her wish she were dead.

In her next life, she'd be bound to a wheelchair, unable even to hold a pair of chopsticks.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

...

Tommy waited outside, pacing for about ten minutes. Then Jules and Crimson came out.

"How is she?" he asked immediately.

Jules replied, "She's stable now. She'll wake up tonight."

She'll wake up tonight? That quickly?

They'd been in there for less than ten minutes, and without any surgery, she's okay?

Tommy felt like he was in a dream and couldn't help but ask, "Are you sure this is enough?"

He had forked out a fortune for this treatment, and it seemed like they had wrapped it up a bit too effortlessly.

"Yes, it's enough," Crimson replied with a smile that seemed almost mischievous.
