Chapter 2232

Chapter 2232

Diana hummed lightly, "Who's thinking about dating? I'm still young; my career is the most important thing!"

Robin nodded in agreement, "You got that right!"

Diana sat back in her chair, resting her cheek in her hand, her gaze intensely fixed on Robin. "I'm just jealous that after work, you have someone to hang out with. I go back to an empty, cold, and lonely house every day."

She bit her lip, her eyes downcast and somber. "That's why I'd rather stay late at the office than go home."

Robin frowned, "You came here to this city without knowing a soul. I get it."

Diana smiled softly, "It's okay, as long as I have you, big bro!"

Something stirred in Robin's heart. "Let's call it a day early tonight and go grab dinner together."

Diana was surprised, "But what about your date with Sophia? Why would I intrude?"

"It's fine. It's just dinner, and who knows, maybe you and Sophia will hit it off and become good friends. Then you'll have someone you know in J City," Robin said with a gentle smile.

Diana's eyes sparkled, "Sophia won't mind?"

"Of course not. She's very understanding," Robin assured.

"Sophia must be really great; otherwise, you wouldn't like her so much," Diana said with a soft smile.

Robin just laughed and didn't say anything.

Diana, now cheerful, said, "Then I'll get back to work and catch up with you after."

"Sure, go ahead!"Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Sophia had reserved a table at the restaurant and was eagerly awaiting Robin. After nearly an hour, she saw him arrive with another girl. "Sophia!"

Diana ran up warmly and hugged Sophia, saying, "I got off work late and big bro drove me here. He heard I was going to be alone tonight, so he invited me along for your date. You're not mad, are you?"

Sophia looked at Robin and shook her head with a faint smile, "Of course not!"

Diana also looked back at Robin, with a hint of coquettishness in her voice, "Big bro said you were understanding and kind-hearted. Now I see he was right!"

Robin smiled warmly, "I told you two could be friends."

Sophia just smirked. What else could she say?

As the three of them took their seats-Sophia in her original spot Robin across from her, and Diana naturally beside Robin-Sophia handed the menu to Diana. "Order whatever you like!"

"Then I won't hold back!" Diana took the menu, flipping it open, and began ordering, "Big bro's been working hard lately. Let's get him a ginseng chicken soup. What do you think, Sophia?"

Sophia smiled lightly, "Sounds good."

"Let's also have fish with sauerkraut, spicy duck feet, and hot chili bamboo shoots," Diana turned to Robin, "All your favorites!"

Robin frowned slightly, smiling, "Sophia is from B City. She's not into spicy food. Let's pick something milder."

"Oh, right," Diana looked up, joking, "Sophia, you'll have to get used to spicy food. Big bro loves it, and otherwise, you two might have too many disagreements."

Sophia looked at Robin with a light chuckle, "No worries, Robin can adjust for me, right?"

Robin just smiled, not saying a word.

Sophia felt a slight drop in her heart.

Diana continued ordering, murmuring, "Sophia likes it mild, so how about a potato salad? That's pretty mild!"

"That works," Sophia nodded.

Then, Diana, finding something exciting on the menu, leaned closer to Robin. "Big bro, they have a dish from back home! I wonder if it's authentic?"

"Let's order and find out," Robin said.
