Later in the afternoon, Amber was preparing her things to get ready to meet Devlin at the parking lot. However, he was already right in her office when she was just gathering all her things.

“Hey, I thought you were going to wait for me in the basement.” She said casually while quickly fixing her hair. She already put on a little bit of makeup earlier.

“I couldn’t wait to see you, babe.” Devlin immediately went to her and hugged her tightly. He kissed her forehead and then her lips. Amber equally kissed him hotly. It was not a regular peck on the lips. It was a deep kiss that lasted for more than a minute.

“We need to go before I take you here.” He said with his hoarse voice. He is trying hard not to lose his control. There is a time for that later in their house. Amber quickly dismissed any thoughts of their intimacy together. That is bound to happen anyway. She admits that she is excited about it.

Amber decided to drop by her condo to check her things. She wanted to make sure that she got her important stuff. She left Devlin in the living room as he was busy talking on the phone again. She entered her bedroom and nothing was unusual. She left her bedroom the same way as it was in the morning. However, when she got into her closet, all her clothes were wiped out. The maids must have brought everything. Even her shoes and bags were also taken.

She has nothing much to bring with her. She just went to her safe to get all her important papers and all her jewelry.

By the time she got out of her room, Devlin was also done with his phone call. He is always busy with work.

“Ready?” He asked while looking at her tiny luggage.

“Is that all you are going to bring with you?” She only nodded at him.

“Looks like you told your maids to clean my closet from everything.” Devlin smiled sheepishly at her. She couldn’t be upset at him. He is right. Her place is with him. And it is better that they stay together.

Devlin took her luggage from her and intertwined their hands while heading to the elevator.

“Babe, I had dinner ready for us in the house. I am sure you are hungry by now. I am starving. I barely ate during lunch.” Devlin said casually while his eyes were on the road.

“I know that you are very busy but you shouldn’t get yourself hungry.” Devlin smiled warmly at her concerned voice.

“For sure, I will never starve myself again since my wife is back to take good care of me.” He winked at her.

Well, he is right. She will definitely take care of him. That’s the least she can do for her husband. Now that they are back together, she will make sure that she makes up for all the lost times they wasted before.

The ride to Devlin’s house took like half an hour. She saw a huge black gate. She couldn’t see the house inside. It was one of the guards who opened the gate for them. The moment the gate was open, Amber saw a sprawling mansion from a distance. There are trees surrounding the whole place. She was in awe as to how huge the mansion is. She never thought that they were going to a huge mansion. Devlin just casually said he owns a house in New York.

“Like what you see?” Devlin asked after he saw her looking amazed.

“You kept saying you owned a house here but you never mentioned it is this huge.” She exclaimed to which Devlin only laughed heartily.

“Well, this house is almost the same size as our house in Seattle.” Again, he said casually.NôvelDrama.Org content.

“Really? When did you build a mansion in Seattle? Last time I knew, you had the penthouse and the condo unit where I stayed.” Her surprised voice only made Devlin shrug his shoulders. For him, it is not something out of the ordinary.

“I bought land before located in a sub-urban area. I decided to build a house there for my future family.” He said honestly. Amber couldn’t help but remember that probably that house was built for his ex-girlfriend, Raven.

Devlin has never mentioned Raven nor his brother. She also wondered about his relationship with his parents and brother now. Moreso, that his family was also investigated. She didn’t dare ask that question.

They got inside the huge mansion made of solid marble. Once inside, Amber was welcomed with all the housemaids lining up in front of her.

“Everyone, my wife, Amber. I want you to take good care of her. Do whatever she asks you to do.” he said with his commanding voice. Amber greeted and smiled at everyone. After the brief introductions, Devlin guided her to the kitchen where a small dining area was to the side. The formal dining area is somewhere in the house.

“I can show you around the house later if you are not too tired.” Devlin said while he put some food on her plate. She misses him serving her food. She did that for him as well.

“I miss this, babe.” It was Devlin who voiced out what’s in her thoughts. She noticed that he is more vocal now saying his feelings towards her. He has changed a lot.

“Me too.” She said comfortably. Amber didn’t get to tour around the huge mansion. She was just too tired and she wanted to take a bath to relax. Of course, Devlin didn’t hesitate to lead her to their bedroom. They have a huge bedroom like the size of her condo unit. They even have a mini kitchen and living room.

She was getting ready for a bath. When she got inside the bathroom, she was surprised that Devlin was already inside. He was done preparing the bath for her. And before she knew it, he helped her undress and joined her in the tub.

He immediately gave her a scorching hot kiss. That left her heady with pleasure. The kiss was so hot that she wanted more. It was her who kissed him again. And this time, his hands wandered all over her body. And when it finds its way to her center core, she just forgot everything. She only felt the sensation that Devlin is giving her and his hot body giving her extra warmth. Nothing can be heard inside the bathroom except their incessant moans.

Amber went to sleep very late that night. Devlin did not let go of her until she could barely open her eyes. For sure, he made a lot of marks all over her body. She felt him kissing her head and hugging her tightly from behind. She went to sleep happy and content.

The next day, she woke up late. It was already past 9 am. She immediately sat down only to feel the soreness between her legs. She is all alone in bed. She thought that Devlin must have gone to work already. However, she was wrong. A few minutes later, the door to their mini kitchen opened and she saw Devlin walking towards her with a tray of food.

“Good morning, my lil minx. How are you feeling?” He asked with full of love. He set the tray on a small table to the side.

“Breakfast. Are you hungry?” The smell of food filled her nostril. She only nodded her head. She still felt the pain down. And her body aches all over. She felt like she did a strenuous exercise all night. She turned red when she realized where her thinking was heading. Of course, Devlin was like a hungry lion. He was devouring every inch of her. She lost count of how many times he took her to oblivion.

She winced when she moved to sit down properly. Devlin immediately helped her and made her comfortable.

“I am sorry, babe. It was all my fault. I could have controlled myself last night.” He said with a hint of regret. Amber held his face with her both hands. “You were incredible last night. I just

couldn’t keep up with you.” She smiled shyly at him which earned a light chuckle from Devlin.

“I love you so much, baby. I am so happy to see your beautiful face every waking moment of my life.” His intense gaze made her heart beat faster. Devlin has always had that effect on her.

They ate their breakfast together while talking about anything.

“Babe, I called Abby. I told her that you won’t be going to your office today. And before you could protest, your meeting today for one of your clients was canceled and rescheduled.” Amber didn’t say anything but only shook her head.

“Besides, you are still sore. You need to take a good rest, babe.” Devlin smiled widely but Amber gave him the look.

‘What can she do?’ Her husband is always insatiable in bed. Right after they finished eating, Devlin handed her a medicine so her pain and soreness would go away. Devlin himself didn’t attend any business meetings today. He decided to work in the house. He saw Amber now sleeping peacefully. He was just looking at her for quite some time. He is glad that he has her. In fact, she is all that he has.

Now, the thought of their enemies crossed his head. He could not wait for everything to finish. He wants to have kids with his wife. And he is already working on it.
