However, Devlin is still fully awake. He wanted to take her again but he knew that she was tired. He kissed her head and hugged her tightly.

‘I am going to give myself a chance to be more open to you.’ He said seriously to himself. He was thinking about the past few days with her. It was simply amazing. He never thought he could be this happy again. He resolved to just go with the flow in his married life. For the first time in his life, he is happily content with the woman beside him. Amber woke up to something heavy on her legs and chest. She slowly opened her eyes only to see Devlin sleeping soundly beside her. His right leg was on top of her legs. His arm was resting on her chest. Now, she slightly panicked. Last night, she gave herself completely to Devlin. She was drowned in her senses when she shamelessly gave in to her lust. But she did not feel only lust but a warm feeling that she surrendered to the man she truly cared for. To the man she lo–. She gasped in amazement. She loves him. That is why she never hesitated to give herself to him because she loves him. She loves him with all her heart despite their situation. She doesn’t even want to think about what tomorrow will bring. She slowly turned around to face her husband. She lightly touched his cheek. She went closer to kiss him on the lips. Then, she fell back asleep.

“Baby, please wake up.” Amber felt a light touch on her lips. When she woke up, it was the handsome face of Devlin that was too close to her face. He must have kissed her lips. She felt it earlier. She smiled happily at him. Devlin immediately sat down on her bed.

“Baby, how are you feeling?” His gentle voice warmed her heart. He touches her forehead and neck to check if she is okay.

“I am fine.” She said shyly. She wanted to get ready and use the bathroom. However, when she moved to sit down, she felt the pain between her thighs. She could not stop herself from wincing.

“Baby, are you okay? What’s wrong? Are you in pain?” His worried voice made Amber smile slightly at him.

“It is still painful.” She continued wincing in pain. “But I wanted to use the bath–” She did not finish what she had to say when Devlin immediately carried her to the bathroom. She put her face on his chest while encircling her arms around his neck.

He set her down on the stool to the corner. Devlin immediately turned on the water. He made sure that the water was warm enough to keep her calm. He added lavender bath soap into the warm water. When he was satisfied, he carried Amber and carefully set her in the tub.

“Ahhh… Thank you. This is really relaxing.” She smiled at him gratefully. She felt that the pain between her legs slowly eased down. Devlin was with her the whole time. He was gently giving her a bath, wiping her skin with soft cloth. At first, Amber protested since she could take care of herself but he insisted. She gave up and sighed deeply.

She felt so good being pampered by Devlin. She felt in deep trouble after realizing she had fallen deeply in love with him. But on second thought, there is nothing wrong about that. Devlin is technically her husband. Love can grow. Love can be learned. She hopes that Devlin will eventually love her. She starts to hope. She felt that he did truly change and care for her.

After Devlin was done giving her a bath, he dried her with the towel. Then he gave her the bathrobe. All these he did quietly. Amber was just letting him do what he wanted.

“Baby, wear this one.” He gave her a shopping bag. “I will just take a shower. Get ready. We are leaving soon.” He kissed her on the forehead before marching back towards the bathroom. Amber was left with a smile on her face.

She was already finished and even tidied up the bed by the time Devlin walked out from the bathroom. He was only wrapped with a towel. He immediately went to her and hugged her from behind. On impulse, Amber closed her eyes and enjoyed his warmth.

“Baby, thank you for this wonderful weekend. I enjoyed every moment we shared together.” He kissed her on her ear and slowly ran his kisses down to her neck. A soft moan escaped from Amber.

Before she got drowned again with the pleasure, Devlin immediately halted what he did. Amber slowly faced him. She saw him out of breath and his face had a tinge of red.

“Are you okay?” She asked with her worried voice.

“I–I am fine.” His hoarse voice was evident. He needed to stop before he would take her again. She is still sore. And besides, they will have a long drive back home. If it is up to him, he would love to stay longer in this place but there is work waiting for him.

“Baby, please get ready downstairs and wait for me there. I am trying my best not to take you again. You are still sore.” He said with a constrained voice. She even saw his swollen manhood just underneath the towel.

“Please don’t stare like that, baby.” He sounded pleading. Amber gave him a teasing smile and lightly kissed Devlin on the cheek before she went to go downstairs.

“Huh!…that woman will be the death of me. She doesn’t know how much I want to take her right now.” He needed to take a quick shower again.

They had breakfast at the lodge. Devlin also talked to the staff and gave them some instructions regarding their work.

“I want you to fix the backyard fence at the cabin. I also want to add more CCTV cameras in that area plus I want to have more guards at night. Please keep that area secure. I trust all of you with your job.” Amber heard while everyone was listening to him. Devlin has that commanding aura that would completely get everyone’s attention. Amber looked at all the staff in the lodge. Despite his young age, the older staff has high respect for him.

“Hey, why didn’t you eat yet?” He said as he walked towards their table.

“I was waiting for you.” She said, turning red with his intense gaze at her. Devlin quietly served her the food on their table. Amber is content getting all the attention from her husband.

“When we get back home, we should plan to visit marmee. What do you think?” Devlin asked out of the blue while sipping his cup of coffee. Amber was only gaping at him for a while.

“Are you serious about that?” Devlin nodded at her. She immediately stood up and hugged him.

“Thank you so much.” She said wholeheartedly. She misses her marmee so much. She could not wait to see her together with Devlin.

“And when we get there, we should start talking about our wedding with marmee in attendance.” Amber was overwhelmingly happy that she loosely said the words she had been holding for a while.

“Oh…I love you so much.” She blurted out. She felt him stiffened. She felt hurt from his reaction but before she could think any further Devlin slightly pulled her chin so they are now looking into each other’s eyes. Amber bit her lower lip for her stupidity.

“I am sorry…” Devlin cupped her face and kissed her deeply. She was panting when he let go of her lips. He did not say anything at all but his face clearly said everything. He was happy to know her feelings towards him.

Amber was ashamed of what she just said. Aside from the torrid kiss they shared, he did not say anything at all. She was slightly disappointed. In her mind and heart, she actually expected that he would say the same words to her. So much for the fairytale romance she has been dreaming of. Visiting her marmee and talking about another wedding with her marmee to witness is more than enough for Amber. She should not welcome any negative thoughts at all.

They bid everyone goodbye in the lodge. She heard Devlin that they are going to come visit soon. She got excited about what he told the staff. She knew that there is more to explore in this dreamy place. They went to the car holding hands together. Even while driving, Devlin was still holding her hand. She felt his assurance just by his actions. She doesn’t need to hear him say that he also has special feelings for her. She can wait for that right moment to come.
