"You wanted to kill Anita, duh?" I told her but she didn't react the way I expected her to.

"Are you listening to yourself right now?" He asked, and I didn't like the fact that he was questioning my judgement.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked.

"Revealing such a thing would be admitting that you used black magic to bring her back." She said and my heart skipped a mighty beat. That was besides the point. "You cannot get rid of me. What we feel for each other is deeper than whatever you feel for her. Do you hear me!" She said through gritted teeth.

"Don't threaten me. As a matter of fact, don't even think about coming to practice. I don't want to risk her recalling what you did to her," I put my foot down. "Good luck with that!" She said, turning to walk away.

"Don't walk away from me!" I warned.

"You cannot get rid of me Alpha." She turned around to say before she quickened her steps and disappeared.

"Lola, come back, please do," I begged. I realised that being hard on her was not helping.

Thank goodness she has listened since she came back.

"What do you want me to do to make you listen to me?" I walked up to her and asked.

"I don't know what is special about her. I am equally beautiful. I know you are in love with her, I can see it in your eyes. it hurts me but what hurts more is you trying to end what we had yet you know I am also in love with you," She revealed. "So what do you want me to do?" I asked her.

"I still want to be your secret lover. I promise you, she will never find out," Lola said.

"That's what it takes for me to listen to you," She added and I was lost for words.

"Come on Lola, you can't do this. You cannot say this,” I said.

"That's what it takes to keep your secret." She added and left. I had to sit there because this was a lot for me. I didn't want to disappoint Anita. I had promised her that I would never break her heart.

But I also have to think about myself. I cannot lose everything. I cannot allow Lola to reveal my secret to the public then I lose everything I have worked really hard to build.

I sat there, trying to call Harry to help me make a proper decision but he didn't budge. He wanted me to make this kind of decision on my own.

After a while of thinking about everything, I knew of the right thing to do.

I walked slowly to my quarters. I was hoping that Anita was resting the entire time. I needed to plan something special for her tonight. I needed her to feel my love and to be sure of it at all times.

I walked in through the front door and found her seated next to the door. She was lost in thoughts but seemed relieved when she saw me.

"Where have you been?" She asked, with her arms folded in front of her.

"What do you mean?" I asked. I was confused. I wanted her to take back her words. I was not going to be controlled by her.

"Where have you been, it is just a simple question which requires a simple answer," She said.

"I have been with the Beta at the office, going through the issues that had been raised by the pack members," I told her.

"Why are you lying?" She said, looking away. Disappointment was written all over her face.

"Lying? What makes you think I am lying yet I am telling you my truth?" I asked in confidence, knowing fully well that she was right, I was actually lying to her.

I wish I could be honest with her but I can't. I am protecting her feelings but not telling her the truth.

"The Beta was here just a moment ago, looking for you," She said and I was lost for words.

"Are you sure?" I asked and looked around nervously. I hated that she had caught me with a lie.

"If you are lying to me about something as direct as this, I wonder how many things you have lied to me about. Do you even love me?" She asked and honestly, I didn't want it to get to this point. Tears were forming on her eyes and I hated to be this man who made her cry.

"I am really sorry, I didn't mean to lie. I just didn't want to..." I remained silent. Telling her the truth at the moment was not going to be a good idea. It was going to add to her pain. The last thing that she would want to hear is that I left her to go and be with Lola.

I really needed to have a discussion with Beta. He should not show up at my quarters not unless he has something very urgent to tell me. He is coming between us and I don't like it. It feels like he has a motive. He has never been in support of my relationship with Anita.

"I wanted to keep this a secret but it turns out that I would have to ruin the surprise. I had gone to organise a dinner for you but now you know," I revealed and immediately mood changed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to..." She paused.

"No, it's okay," I mumbled. I was happy that my plan worked.

"I have to stop this, I have to stop giving my insecurities so much power." She said,

"No, it's fine, "I assured her.

"No it's not fine. Here I was thinking that you were with Lola yet you were out there planning something special for me. I should be ashamed of myself,"she said.
