This is not the way to my house.
Nathan held Demelza by the hand and they both walked to his car. She was still a bit frightened and looked back at intervals but Nathan was relieved that he was going to take her home. That way he was going to feel relieved that she would be safe from Hampton. Hampton’s obsession over Demelza was another part of Hampton he never knew existed.
He opened the door for Demelza to go in which was a surprise to her but she was still shaken to say anything. She entered the car and Nathan closed the door after she did.
He also got into the car and started the engine. He drove out of the Firm’s building and they were both quiet. It was quite evident that she wasn’t in the mood for a chit chat.
Demelza turned to look at Nathan the instant she noticed that he wasn’t taking the way to her house and it also wasn’t the way to his house either. “Yeah I know “Nathan said to Demelza, noticing the look she gave him.
“Okay?” Demelza questioned.
“You need to calm down. I want to take you to a place where you need to relieve stress. Relax,” Nathan responded.
Demelza sank into the chair and closed her eyes. She wasn’t in the mood to argue or make her opinion. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
The car glided smoothly on the road which Demelza enjoyed so she winded the glass down to receive the fresh air. She smiled from the fragrance of the scent of fresh flowers that the breeze brought in as they drove. Seeing the flowers, she immediately knew where Nathan was headed. She felt happy about him bringing her to a place she liked to be.
As they entered the park, Nathan pulled over to a secluded space and he parked the car beside a tranquil lake. Demelza really liked the spot as it was the perfect spot to be at the moment. She loved how the light was flickering in the park illuminating a beauty that looked so natural.
Nathan pressed his lips against hers leaving a warm kiss on her lips before stepping out of the car. “Are you coming or not?” he asked her.
She unbuckled her seatbelt and came out of the car. Immediately she closed the door of the car, he locked it automatically. He extended his hand to her and she took it without hesitation. She enjoyed the moment and cared less about what comes after.
As they strolled trying to find the perfect spot, they both walked hand in hand. The sound of birds in the trees chirping filled the air creating a soothing sound to the air. Nathan looked at Demelza and their eyes locked for a few seconds. He was happy to see her tired facial expression replaced with a smile.
They final got to a bench and sat there basking in the hush of the moment. Nathan didn’t say anything, he just wanted Demelza to enjoy the beauty of the park at night. Having his eyes on her made him feel more comfortable. The stars son began to twinkle in the night sky which made both their eyes fixed in the sky.
Nathan checked the time on his watch and realized they’ve spent too much time at the park. they haven’t had dinner and they both needed to rest because there was work the next day. “We need to head home now,” Nathan told Demelza.
“Okay,” she responded and stood up from the bench. She started walking behind Nathan as they walked to the car. She missed a step but Nathan caught her and held her to balance her stance on the ground but he noticed she could hardly stand properly. He looked at her feet and noticed her ankle was red. She had actually twisted her ankle and not missed a step.
He had to carry her to the car and he placed her gently on the seat. He buckled her seatbelt and closed the door.
After settling himself in the driver’s seat, he buckled his seatbelt and began driving home. They drove in silence for a while before Demelza broke the silence. “Thank you”
Nathan turned to look at her and gave her a cocky smile. “Is it for relieving your stress or for carrying-on.” He responded and inked afterwards.
“Both, I think.” She said, rolling her eyes.
“Okay, when you are sure you can thank me again.”
“Alright, alright, for both.” She told him shyly.
“Hold up, this is not the way to my house.” She said to Nathan immediately she notice he was taking the turn to his house.
“Yeah, I know.”
“And you didn’t think to tell me first?” she asked, feeling a little bit annoyed.
“With that foot?” nah.” He replied.
“Nice.”
The rest of the drive was quiet until they got to Nathan’s house. They both let out a sigh of relief as he turned off the engine of his car in the garage. It was a really long day and they were both tired. Demelza craved food, a hot shower and the bed at that moment. She smiled realizing her sleep would be a very sweet one as she remembered how comfortable Nathan bed was.
Nathan’s footsteps echoed through the quiet pathway as he walked to the elevator that led to his apartment. They soon got to the room and they were both welcomed with the familiar scent of vanilla and lavender that filled the air.
He kicked off his shoes immediately he got inside ad he carefully dropped Demelza on the couch in the living room. He rushed to get ice from the fridge. He knelt down immediately he got to her and applied pressure with the ice on her swollen ankle. He remained there for a while until he remembered he had to fix them dinner. He had forgotten to grab some on their way home and Demelza had refused to eat anything at the park.
“Keep applying pressure on that.” He told her and headed to the kitchen. While walking to the kitchen, he removed his suit and flung it to the living room which landed on Demelza’s face which made her let out a soft groan.
He had to make a sandwich because it was already late and they needed a light dinner. When he finished fixing them a sandwich, he served it and placed it on a tray and took it to the living room. He didn’t want to stress her and he took a glass of cold milk along, something to keep her refreshed.
“Thank you.” Demelza said as Nathan kept the food tray on a stool. His caring part felt so sweet and sexy at the same time.
