FALLING FOR A HEARTLESS BETA

***Amber’s Pov***

When Dale insisted on taking me to Clayland, I questioned him about my previous task to seduce Alpha Jacob, and to make everyone believe that the child inside my tummy belonged to the Alpha.

He replied that he would take care of it. He also claimed to have done what was necessary to make the Luna believe it.

At that moment, I realized I needed to step up; I needed to escape from the heartless beta. Each day, he has become more dangerous, and I knew that I played a big role in his plan of revenge.

Without me, he wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything, and that’s what I thought before leaving his house.

For several days, I wandered in a strange place. I had become a rogue myself. Thankfully, I met someone with a kind heart, and she allowed me to stay in her place for the time being.

I was so grateful to the woman, and at the same time, I was scared. I was scared that Dale would suddenly show up at her new place.

My new friend named Herlie was working at a bar as a waitress, while I did the laundry for our neighbors in the squatter’s area.

It was fine at the beginning but the income was low. I needed more in order to save more, so when Herlie suggested that I should try working at the bar, I agreed without hesitation.

I had to grab the chance while my baby bump was not yet obvious. Besides, I asked Herlie if I could be selective about the job since I didn’t want to sleep with strangers.

“Aren’t you an expert in doing massage?” she asked and when I nodded, she immediately informed her boss

On the spot, I was hired as a masseuse, but there was a catch. I needed to do hotel or home services for their important clients. The boss assured me that it was purely business and his clients were not rapists.

“Well, this is it, Amber!”

I said to myself as I entered the elevator, and pressed the button leading to the penthouse of Galaxy Hotel.

Using the handkerchief I was carrying, I wiped the sweat on my hands, as well as on my neck. I was so nervous!

When I was almost at the penthouse, I opened my bag and sprayed a fragrant body mist on my body

When the elevator opened, I didn’t hesitate to go out. My steps were loud on the tiled floor, but I was confident.

Doing a massage was one of the skills I learned before joining the harem of Alpha Marcus.

Whoever was my first client, I could tell he was extremely rich! Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to afford the entire penthouse.

Then a staff member approached me and told me to follow her. She also said that my client was currently in the pool.

When I arrived at the indoor pool, I couldn’t help but notice it had a similar form and design to the indoor pool in Dale’s house.

“Have a seat, Amber.”

I was too close to him, and yet I wasn’t able to see his face clearly. If only the area where he was lounging was not dimmed, then I wouldn’t have a hard time seeing his face.

However, his grumpy voice reminded him of Dale.

It was just a voice, but it sounds good, and it reminded her of the heartless bastard.

“Thank you, sir,” I replied but then I wondered where would I be sitting.

In the vacant chaise lounge next to him?

I looked around and when I saw a chair nearby, I immediately walked toward it but he called me again.

“So, I will be your first customer?”

“That’s right,” I answered shyly but then he suddenly laughed.

“And what do you think of me? Stupid?”

“No, you are not stupid, sir. However, I will not force you to believe me.”

“Alright. Anyway, whether I am the first or not, I will pay the agreed amount.”

“I hope you are not lying,” I said to him

“Why would I lie, Amber?”

The second time he mentioned my name casually, I began to worry. He pronounced my name as if he was so familiar with it.

Then, he called one of his staff to get a document from his office.

When the staff returned with the document he requested, he told me to sign it. I accepted the papers from his staff and signed them without reading the entire document.

“You should read the document before signing, Amber. It’s risky, I mean, what you did was risky,’ he said.

“What’s the document about? Care to tell me about it?”

“Confidentiality agreement,” he replied but I doubt if it’s true. “Wait for me in the room, just ask the staff,” he added.

I followed his order, and leave him at the pool. The staff immediately brought me to his bed.

I dropped my bag into the leather couch and started to undress, but he came all of a sudden.

“Please shower first,” he commanded.

When he insinuated that I am a dirty type of woman, I was greatly embarrassed.

I took a quick shower as instructed and when I came out of the bathroom, he was already in bed.

“If you’re ready, I’m ready too,” I told him.

“Then what are you waiting for? Let’s start,” he replied, and then he changed his position.

I sort of expected that I was talking to Dale earlier, so the moment he allowed me to see his face, I was not so surprised.

He was only wearing boxer shorts so the sight of his bare torso was tempting me.

“Just get some almond oil inside the drawer,” he ordered, and then he gestured for me to return to the bathroom where he stored it, along with his other toiletries.

I nodded.

As soon as I came back with a bottle of almond oil, he told me to start massaging his back.

“Just a massage?”I asked, in case he wanted an additional service

“Why, what do you expect? I don’t have sex with prostitutes, Amber.”

I just swallowed the hurtful words the man threw at me. At least, I won’t be harmed tonight.

“Soft or hard?”

“It’s up to you, Amber. Do the usual for me,” he stated.

“I’m sorry,” I said when I started to massage his back.

“Sorry for what? For leaving me?”

I regretted apologizing for what I did several weeks ago just to avoid getting married to a complete stranger.

Instead of responding to his inquiry, I decided to focus on the task at hand.

“Harder,” Dale moaned when he felt my hands on his shoulders.

But I wished he wouldn’t moan so hard while being massaged. The sound coming out of his mouth was making me horny for goodness sake!

“God, it’s been a long time since I had a massage. I really missed the way you helped me to relax, Amber.”

He wanted me to do it harder but his body was all muscles!  Suddenly, I thought of something useful!

“Stop!” The man shouted.

“Dale?”

Then, he pushed me away before he sat up.

“I said I wanted to relax, Amber, but what did you do?”

When he suddenly stood up, I panicked as the towel fell from my body. I should have used the robe, but I expected him to use me like a whore tonight.

“As I was saying a while ago –

Dale couldn’t finish what he wanted to say when he saw my naked body lying on his bed.

“I told you that I don’t have sex with people like you, get up there and get dressed. Then, change the bedsheet of my bed.”

I thought he really considered me a dirty human being but then he showed me the part of his bed sheet where I accidentally spilled some oil.

After changing the sheet, I immediately looked for him. He was on the balcony, smoking a cigarette.

“Excuse me, can I go home now?”

“Where are you going home, Amber? In a rented boarding house in a squatter’s area? I don’t know why you put up with it. Where do you think you’re going while being pregnant with my child?”

For the first time, he called the baby his. I was flattered but knowing Dale, I had to be vigilant.

“Why are you doing this, Dale?”

“Because you belong to me, Amber. You are my slave,” he declared.
