Chapter 35- Amara

Chapter 35- Amara

“So with that settled, we can start with the shifting while Cass forges the sword. I know it’s late but I

want to talk to the boys now so we can start with the shifting tomorrow. Let’s get going then. I will talk to

them at the meeting house. Get the eight of them there please.” I said to everyone. “Ryder will you

please stay here with Aria and Ajax. I don’t want to take any more risk.”

“Sur…” Ryder started but was cut by a very enthusiastic Emersyn.

“We will stay here mom. Don’t worry about Aria.”

Ryder growled as Earl and Fallon nodded in agreement.

“Okay. Thank you sweetie.”

I heard Ryder mumble ‘stupid pups’ under his breath. I chuckled at the very angry Alpha which he

returned with a playful glare. Oh my silly brother. I can’t express how much I love him. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

The shifters started to leave and I turned towards the Knights. Cass and Grayson went to Steven to talk

with.

“Long time no see.”

They hung their heads in embarrassment. They looked utterly mortified.

“Amy can I talk to you for a minute?” Alex said looking everywhere but in my eyes.

“Sure.”

We walked to the river shore. I didn’t turn around to look at him as the tension stretched between us.

“I know what I did wasn’t exactly right but I wasn’t in the right state of mind at the time. I didn’t want

Arabella and my son into the pit of darkness I was in at the time. I am still suffering but I think I am

ready to face them. Is it okay to meet them tomorrow?”

His voice was grave and expectant. I know he must have been in the worst state at the time but

abandoning your children is not a good thing. The same children you made with the very mate you

were grieving over. I know losing a mate is horrifying but leaving your children on the streets without

any warning is also not a good thing.

“I don’t know Alex. It is up to them. Eros doesn’t know about you being his father. He is too young to

know about things like these. We talked with Aria about this and she was more than okay with this

arrangement. Aria on the other hand is not in the right state of mind at the moment. She is going

through some mate issues and I don’t know if she would be up for any more emotional trauma. I won’t

force her in it. I will ask her though.”

“Eros means god of love, right?” I nodded. “You gave him a really good name. I am glad you took them

in. Please talk to Aria and tell me what she thinks. I would love to meet them. I know what I did wasn’t

the right thing to do but I couldn’t think of anything other than running away from the place that took my

mate from me. I am really sorry about it but I can’t change it now. I wish I had taken a different road

than running away. Not only did I lost my mate, I also lost my children that day.”

His eyes were filled with unshed tears. I hugged him, rubbing his back as he sobbed in my arms.

“I can understand why you did that. I am not sure with Eros as that little munchkin doesn’t think about

anything other than Spiderman but Aria might understand and they will forgive you eventually.”

“I hope so too.” He said wiping his face of the tears. “Wait why did you call Eros little? Isn’t he like

eleven?” Alex asked me confused.

“Well is supposed to be but he stopped growing at the age of five. He is a full blood vampire. There are

eight to nine more years for him to at least turn six.” I told him chuckling.

He nodded with a pleasant smile on his face but the vacantness in his eyes remained. His eyes looked

dead. I hope that he will find someone with time and move on.

“Let’s get back to the clearing. Steven and Ryder must be on their way to come get me.” I told him

shaking my head at the image.

He chuckled.

“Ryder is still the same then.”

“You don’t even need to ask that. He is actually gotten worse. He gets jealous of the pups and my

children as well. I don’t know what I am going to do with him.”

I smiled at the thought of my brother. He is the best brother in the whole wide world.

How right I was. Steven and Ryder bumped into us at the edge of the clearing.

“We were about to come get you.” Steven said.

I shook my head and walked past the two over possessive males.

“Well I should get to the meeting house. It’s getting pretty late.” I said to everyone. “I will go there with

Ryder. Steven take the others to our house. I don’t think living separately will do any good. Our enemy

is already active. I will get home with the boys. Tell the children to share rooms. We have ten bedrooms

in total. I think that will be more than enough.”

Everyone agreed with the arrangement and we separated our ways. I climbed on Ryder’s back and we

set off towards the meeting house. Ryder stopped at the edge of the woods at the clearing near the

meeting house and I got off of his back.

“Aren’t you coming inside?” I asked him as he made no move to come with.

“I thought you didn’t want me there.” he said sulkily,

Whoa! What happened to him?
