Chapter 16 Why Did You Set Me up?

5 minutes had passed.

Allison suddenly felt her body warming up and she started to remove her outer jacket. But even after

she had removed the jacket, Allison felt increasingly warm and her mouth was parched.

This kind of warm feeling didn’t feel that it was due to the surrounding temperature. The temperature

burned within her and it was getting unbearable.

“How strange, Renata, is the air conditioner broken?”

uncomfortable and couldn’t tolerate it anymore and she told Renata about it.

“Renata, I’m not feeling well and I will leave first,” Allison said and wanted to leave. But as she stood

up, her legs gave out and she collapsed back into the chair.

At that moment, apart from feeling hot, her entire body was becoming increasingly weak.

“Allison, are you having a fever and a cold?” At this moment, Renata laughed and appeared surprised

and anxious. With that remark, Allison also felt that her condition seemed to be a fever.

“How about this, Allison, I’ll get a room for you to rest in and I’ll apply for leave from the company for

you.”

Renata didn’t allow Allison any chance to consider. She grabbed Allison, and dragged her towards the

hotel rooms.

At this point, Allison was totally weak and could only go along with Renata but she was still conscious,

“Renata, it’s alright, I’ll just take some medicine and I’ll be fine. I don’t have to stay here.”

Renata acted as if she didn’t hear what Allison said and dragged Allison into the lift and pressed the

button for the 18th floor.

The effects of the drug became more intense and Allison began to have double vision. But she insisted

and said, “Renata, no need, I’ll just take some medicine, and I’ll be fine…”

At this moment, Renata’s cell phone rang. Renata glanced at Allison who was leaning onto her and

then answered the call without caring about Allison.

Before the other party asked her, she replied gleefully, “It’s settled, what about your end?”

“Mr. Attwood should be on his way. Just toss her into the room and that will do.”

“Okay.”

After this simple exchange, the lift doors opened.

Allison was already barely conscious and she heard the conversation and she finally realized Renata’s

evil intentions. She clung onto the door desperately and refused to go with Renata anymore.

“Ah, Allison Gibson, isn’t it too late for you to realize what’s happening?” Renata exposed her true self

at this moment.

Renata’s cold smile caused Allison to feel a chill. She bit her lip and weakly asked, “I always treated

you as my younger sister, why do you…?” Why do you plot against me?

Allison didn’t complete her question before she blacked out and collapsed to the ground.

Allison was then thrown onto the bed by Renata.

“Why? You offended my cousin sister! That’s why!” Renata placed her arms on her waist and said to

the unconscious Allison. Thereafter she took out Allison’s cellphone and it rang at that very moment.

The screen displayed, ‘Davis’. The phone call startled Renata and in a panic, she threw the phone into

the toilet bowl. After ringing for several seconds, the screen blacked out due to water ingestion.

Thereafter, Renata went back to Allison and removed Allison’s ring, took a look at it, and happily put it

on.

“This ring would be useless on you after today; you might as well give it to me!”
