Don't Annoy My Boss Daddy

Chapter 57 Deciding To Go On A Date

Chapter 57 Deciding To Go On A Date

"Hollie, do you want to go or not? If you don't go, I will cut ties with you!"

She had been trying her best to convince me to go, but I was still unrelenting, so she began to resort to

threats.

I sighed helplessly. I really couldn't do anything about it. I knew that she was threatening me on

purpose, but I still compromised.

"Fine, I'll go."

I put on my clothes weakly. I would dress up nicely if this was a few days ago, but now I was really not

interested at all. I didn't want to waste my time because I knew that the blind date wouldn't work out.

We arrived at the restaurant that the blind date had been arranged in. Evie was afraid that I would

change my mind on the way, so she insisted on coming with me.

I looked at my blind date sitting opposite me. He was fair and looked clean and gentle, and had a pair

of gold-rimmed glasses on his nose. He looked much better than those on my previous dates, at least

in terms of appearance.

"What do you think? You're not disappointed, right? I'm telling you, you'll definitely like him."

Evie nudged my shoulder and whispered into my ear.

I rolled my eyes at her and said nothing.

The man before me could be described as good-looking, though.

"Miss Hunter, nice to meet you. My name is Dylan Moss. I'm a lawyer. Nice to meet you."

The man opposite me held out a hand to me with a faint smile on his face.

Out of courtesy, I also reached out and shook hands with him. "My name is Hollie Hunter. I work in an

advertising company. I'm also very happy to meet you."

I smiled faintly at him. Although I had no feelings for him, I was satisfied with his profession and

appearance.

After all, I didn't expect to find true love anymore. The man in front of me seems to be more suitable, at

least much better than those in the past.

After having a meal together and getting to know each other better, I went home with Evie.

As soon as I entered the house, before I could sit down, Evie held my hand and kept asking.

"Hollie, what do you think of Dylan today? He is very good, isn't he? And he is also a lawyer, so he is a

good match for you."

"He's okay, at least in terms of appearance."

Although I was in a hurry to find a boyfriend to marry, I was not very interested in dating. I just wanted

to get married as soon as possible because I didn't want my parents to worry about me anymore.

"Do you mean that you like this one? I'll contact him another day, and then the two of you can start

dating and getting to know each other better."

Hearing what I said, Evie became a little excited and began to arrange our next dates for me.

I glanced at her indifferently and said nothing more. I went straight back to my room to rest.

Although I had found a suitable boyfriend, I had no feelings for him. I merely didn't dislike him. That

didn't mean I like him.

In the next two days, I almost forgot about this matter. I went to work and got off work as usual, and

during this time, Brandon did not contact me either.

One day, I was lying in bed absently with my cell phone in my hand. I was hesitating if I should call

Brandon. He hadn't called me for such a long time. Did he really forget about me?

But when I came back to my senses, I was a little annoyed. Wasn't that exactly what I wanted? Why

was I thinking of contacting him? My mind was really in a mess.

I already have a suitable candidate for a boyfriend. We agreed that once I found a boyfriend, our

relationship would end.

Thinking of this, I put my phone on the bed and forced myself to stop thinking about Brandon.

My no matter how much I tried to convince myself to not think about him, his face kept appearing in my

mind. He was always so noble and elegant. He was probably the most perfect man in the world.

In fact, I knew very well that I had fallen in love with him, but I also knew that the two of us were not

from the same world. He and I could not be together at all, so I never dared to think about our

relationship.

Just when I was thinking, my cell phone suddenly rang. I picked it up excitedly, thinking that it must

have been Brandon calling me at this time of the night.

But when I saw the caller ID, it was a strange number. I didn't recognize it.

Feeling a little disappointed, I picked up the phone.

"Miss Hunter, I'm Dylan Moss, your previous blind date. Do you still remember me?"

A gentle male voice came from the other end of the phone.

I frowned slightly. When I heard him say that he was my former blind date, I realized who he was and

quickly opened my mouth.

"Of course I do. Why are you calling me? And where did you get my number?"

My voice was faint and confused. How did he have my contact information? I didn't remember leaving

him a phone number on that blind date.

"Your friend, Evie, gave me your number. Miss Hunter, since we met last time, I think we are suitable

for each other. Would you like to meet again some time?"

After hearing his answer, I realized that Evie had actually given my number to him.

I wanted to refuse the date, but I knew that Dylan was the best out of all of my blind dates. I decided to

give him a try.

If there was nothing wrong with his character and his work was stable, I could consider marrying him.

After all, for me, the most important thing now was not love.

"Okay, that sounds good. You can pick a time and place."

As I said this, Brandon's face suddenly appeared in my mind. For a moment, I felt even more

disappointed.

"Okay, I'll send you the meeting time and location."

Hearing my promise, Dylan sounded happy on the other end of the phone.

"If there's nothing else, I'll hang up first. I'm a little tired and want to rest early."

I wasn't in the mood to talk to who I considered a stranger over the phone.

"Okay, go to bed early. See you tomorrow."

After saying this, Dylan hung up the phone.

Lying on the bed, I stared blankly at the ceiling and felt inexplicably annoyed.

Sometimes I wondered if I really wanted to get married to a random guy like this. Why couldn't I find the

love I wanted and the marriage I dreamed about?

I used to think that I was the happiest person in the world, but because of Vaughn's betrayal, I didn't All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
