Chapter 2050
Maja fell silent upon hearing those words. It took a while before she finally raised her hand and patted Beck on the shoulder. "Beck, honestly, you're not exactly a master of playing games. If you say this lady is bad news, you'd better keep your distance from her."
"You think I'm afraid of her?" Beck seemed somewhat indignant. From the moment he first met that woman, who had immediately started playing the role of the other woman, he had made up his mind to expose her schemes.
Maja wanted to persuade him further. In the entire Sanders family, Beck was by far the most naïve. Dylan had been handling all the business aspects of the Sanders family from a young age, leaving Beck to simply enjoy life and maintain good relations within their social circle. Dylan was good to his brother, sharing his dividends almost entirely with Beck, so Beck had never really faced any significant setbacks in social or business dealings.
That woman had managed to fool everyone, transitioning from Stella to Stella-a clear sign she was trouble. Beck dealing with her was bound to end badly. But Beck was too obsessed with exposing her schemes to listen to any advice. Maja sighed and decided to let it be.
At the birthday party, Beck managed to throw a few jabs at lan, infuriating him, teased Fitch Haskins enough to darken his mood, and then had a go at Tyler Bennitt, who crushed his cup in anger. Only then did Beck, feeling satisfied, retire upstairs to rest.
Tyler, having recently lost weight over a love affair, was seething from Beck's sarcastic remarks, nursing a hand bleeding from the broken glass. "I refuse to believe Beck won't face heartbreak someday. Just wait for him to fall, and I'll be the first to laugh," Tyler fumed. Everyone thought Tyler was invincible, but he ended up falling for a minor celebrity who used him and then kicked him to the curb. Now, he was pitifully begging her not to leave him. After some tug-of-war, the celebrity's attitude hadn't softened, hinting at rekindling an old flame instead. Tyler was furious, helpless to do anything but continue being kind to her.
Everything was his own fault, for initially treating the celebrity with disdain. Now, their roles were reversed. Just the thought made Tyler feel even more miserable, especially seeing Beck still lounging around carefree. He was oblivious to the animosity he had stirred up, sleeping soundly after his stint in Greenfield, before rushing back to North America.
He was determined to reveal that woman's true nature! Coincidentally, on his first night back, he ran into Stella at a hotel in North America. Stella had a foxy appearance, her eyes especially captivating, seemingly luring people in.
Beck, holding a drink, didn't
immediately confront her but
noticed Stella chatting with a man nearby. The man, evidently smitten after just a few words, eagerly
bought her the most expensivel. ne
drinks. Stella smirked and whispered something into the man's ear,
prompting him to order several more pricey bottles.
Beck watched from a distance, deducing that Stella must have
struck a deal with the bar's owner, earning a commission for each
bottle opened. However, this waonet
likely not Stella's main gig, as she was known as a jewelry designer. Despite being blacklisted for plagiarism, she seemed to continue
with her designs.
Stella noticed Beck, her smile fading slightly. "Beck."
Beck snorted, setting his drink down. "Don't. I'm hardly your brother, let's not pretend to be family."
Stella lowered her lashes, her expression turning somewhat pitiful. "Right, I suppose someone like me wouldn't be up to your standards."
Beck had come to cause trouble, but
seeing her put on that face, he hesitated. Bullying women wasn't his style. He was known across North America as a charming playboy, usually leaving women. flustered with just a few words.
"That's not what I meant."
"You've been to Greenfield, haven't you?"This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
"What's it to you?"
Stella blinked, "You're so fierce, Beck."
