Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me

Chapter 36 I Have Charted the Restaurant

Chapter 36 I Have Charted the Restaurant

Last time, after Harriet left from the office, Irene was outrageous again. She blocked the door from

letting him go out to work which pissed him off directly.

Wesley did not say anything.

Irene tried to please him this time, "Wesley, I went to check the bar, which is better than I thought. I

know you always do the best for me. You often fail to have dinner on time because you are too focused

on your work, so I am going to remind you of having dinner time in the future. Could you just forgive

me?"

Irene was spoiled since she was a child. It was rare that she asked him for his forgiveness even though

she did not show much guilt from her behaviors.

She had already acted so coquettishly. He would be stingy if he did not accept her apology.

Wesley had no choice. "Do you really need me to have dinner with you? I still do not finish my work."

"It won't delay your business just for a dinner. I promise I will send you back in person in an hour after

we finish dinner."

Wesley could only agree with her idea.

Sitting in the car, Irene was playing her mobile phone. For her, the last incident had been turned over

easily by saying some words and compensated him with just a meal.

Wesley somehow thought of Harriet again, looking out the window.

Whether deliberately pleasing him or not, Harriet would always be around him and did what he said.

She was not a good cooker two years ago but she learned how to cook better for him. Even though he

enjoyed a lot of exquisite food outside, what he missed most was the bowl of beef noodles she made.

The car stopped in front of the restaurant. Jack hurried back after the inquiry and talked across the

window. "Boss, Miss Whitty, the restaurant was booked by someone and did not accept other

customers. We'd better find another restaurant."

Irene wanted to have dinner at this restaurant on a whim, so she did not made an appointment in

advance.

"Then go for another one." Wesley said slightly.

"No, I just want to eat here," Irene frowned and ordered, "You go and tell them that I can pay for double

price to get the chance to eat here."

Jack glanced at Wesley, looking embarrassed.

"Go and tell them." Irene urged with dissatisfaction.

Seeing Wesley nodding with acquiesces, Jack hurriedly returned to the restaurant.

Irene was uneasy, pulling the arm of Wesley, "Wesley, Jack is too procrastinating. Let's get off the car.

This restaurant is built up by my dad's friend. You also know the boss. They will definitely respect you

and let us eat here."

Wesley was a little tired of Irene's waywardness, but he got used to spoil her.

"Let's go."

In the restaurant, Harriet was eating dessert alone as Keith went to the bathroom.

The waiter walked over with embarrassment, "Madam, have you enjoyed the dinner?"

"We almost finish the dinner, what's wrong?"

"There is a gentleman who wants to bring his fiancée to dinner here. We find it hard to refuse them as

he is our boss's friend, but we cannot allow them to have dinner here either as you have chartered the

restaurant, so..."

"If that so," Harriet had always been easy-going about life's trivialities, and smiled slightly, "It's okay, we

are almost done. We will leave after my friend is back from the bathroom. You can accept them after

we go."

"Thank you for your understanding, then the cost of your charter and meals tonight will be charged to

the account of the gentleman."

It was lucky for Harriet to have a dinner for free, not to mention they were almost finished the meal. It

was just that she was a little curious about the generous gentleman.

She looked towards the entrance of the restaurant, and her eyes gradually froze.

The man was in a straight suit which was cut fitted, and a slim woman next to him held his arm

intimately. They two were looking towards her.

She recognized them when they looked towards her.

They were Wesley and Irene. What a coincidence.

Harriet thought of the last time she was humiliated, and it was still a pain in her heart for the operation.

She lost her children, health, and the chance of being a mother forever because of them.

Why could they still be able to hang out outright in pairs, and why should she give up her cherished

stuff?

"Miss…"

"Sorry, I take back what I just said. I will not give up the charter tonight."

The waiter froze for a while and saw Harriet's face full of anger. Although he didn't know what was

happening, he guessed they probably knew each other. He didn't ask more and walked towards the

cash register.

"Mr. Davis, I'm really sorry. The lady is not willing to give up the charter tonight."

The waiter conveyed Harriet's meaning to Wesley and Irene.

Irene frowned, "Aren't you just gesturing to say she agrees with the idea?"

"The lady said yes before, but I don't know why she suddenly changes her mind."

Wesley already knew why she changed her mind as he had recognized Harriet for the glancing before.

Irene didn't notice what was wrong and walked towards Harriet after letting loose her hands from

Wesley's arm.

"I'll go and ask her."

"Irene," Wesley's eyes narrowed slightly but failed to stop her.

"Hello, lady."

Irene had already spoken.

Harriet touched the base of the red wine glass on the table without raising her head.

"I want to have dinner with my boyfriend here. I didn't know it was booked by you. It seems that you

almost finish you meal. I hope you can give us the charter tonight."

"But I don't want to give it."

"I am willing to pay for double price."

When she heard this, Harriet finally raised her head, revealing a frosty face, "Not everything in this

world can be bought with money. Money cannot buy my pleasure here."

"Aren't you finished the dinner?"

Irene was about to talk something but her eyes suddenly startled with raised brows, "Is you?"

There was a brief stagnation in the air.

Irene sneered with a clear contempt floated in her eyes, "You are just awesome to pretend to be noble

by chartering the restaurant with the money from your lover."

She held Wesley's arm in front of Harriet, proud as a peacock. "Wesley, I want to eat here today. My

parents asked me to take you come and eat at this restaurant, what do you think? "

Irene was playful but she was not stupid. She knew only shrews would rush up and entangle with the

bitch in this case. Smart women will always let men deal with matters. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Her mother was right. She was the only daughter of the Jones family. As long as she did not cross the

line too much, Wesley would never go against her will for she was supported by Jones group.

Harriet said sarcastically, "You guys, no matter how do I charter the restaurant, you should obey the

rules. I come here first and let alone. And I haven't finished the meal. Even if I finish it, you cannot let

me get out of here if I am not willing to leave. "

"Do you still know that you come first?" Irene's worlds filled with anger. She was merciless. "I don't think

you know that when you interfere others' relationships. Do you know what it's called? You are such a

selfish bitch."

Harriet inserted a cold-lighted fork directly into the dessert. The fork passed through the dessert and hit

the porcelain plate. The sound was sharp and harsh, echoing in the large restaurant.

Irene was shocked by her and suddenly shrank behind Wesley.

"Harriet?" Wesley was stunned slightly.

"What do you afraid?" Harriet raised her head slowly. "Do you think I will kill you with this fork? I just

don't like this dessert but someone hold a knife to my neck and force me to eat it. The people around

will think that I like to eat that dessert, so I just vented a little bit."
