Chapter 84
Just when I thought about leaving the room to see Brax, Aston struck again.
I had done what he wanted without argument, I didn’t get mad, I did not try to drag it out, I just did what he wanted and. somehow, he was still looking for ways to get me mad and he was really testing my patience. I had killed him over and over in my head and I was waiting for it to manifest
“What does he need me for now?” I found myself telling at the guard and he glared hard at me reminding me of my place but I was in no mood to exchange words with him. What I felt like doing was beating him the hell up and proceeding to beat Aston too until he couldn’t move any part of his godforsaken body.
“The alpha needs you now.” He needed me only a few minutes ago too and I was starting to think that the Alpha was mentally deranged. A part of me also felt like he was doing this on purpose too. He was probably aware of my plans to meet Brax and was just trying to make them impossible.
“What does the Alpha need me for?!” I retorted really mad that I would have to make my way back to his office for who knows the hell what. The guard just glared at me and started to walk away in the direction of Aston’s office.
I followed him with a glare stuck on my face and my eyes shooting laser beams. I reached the office door and my mind. started to race with possible ways of killing Aston and getting away with it before any of the guards noticed and they hosted a feast with my flesh
I stepped in and this time, there was a book in front of him, I didn’t have to go get it at the shelf myself. I squinted my eyes to see the words written on the cover of the book from where I stood but I didn’t see a word until I was close enough to.
“You sent for me.” I said trying my best not to sound mad that I was actually in front of him again even though I was practically furning with anger.
“Yes, pick up this book and read it to me.” He ordered and I could not help but court out the words in my chest.
“I just finished reading you one, why do you need another?” I half yelled and I saw his brows furrow in confusion.
“I don’t think that you can speak to me that way so who is it that you’re speaking to in that manner?” he asked and I was so close to hitting him in the face and running away.
“You don’t get to question me Kira, you just do as you’re told. I call the shots around here, oaky, not you!”
“Since when did you, start wanting to be read to?” I asked Aston, raising an eyebrow and crossing my arms over my chest.
He shrugged, his eyes fixed on me with an intensity that made my skin crawl. “Since right now,” he replied, his voice low and husky.
I sighed, glancing at my watch for what felt like the hundredth time. “I have somewhere to be, Aston. I don’t have time for this.”
Aston raised an eyebrow, his eyes glinting with a hint of jealousy. “Is it with Brax?” he asked, his voice laced with a possessiveness that made my skin crawl
I rolled my eyes, trying to keep my patience. “Mind your own business, Aston,” I said firmly.
He storted, his face twisting into a sneer. “I’d rather you read to me instead of going to spread your legs like a-”
I cut him off, my voice firm and commanding. “Td appreciate it if you didn’t call me that, Aston
He shrugged, his eyes never leaving mine “I don’t care. I’ll call you whatever I want to.” There was so much authority in his voice.
I felt a surge of anger, but I kept my cool, trying not to let him get under my skin. “I’m not going to read to you, Aston. You can do it yourself.”
I turned to leave, but Aston dared me to take one more step. His voice was hard, his eyes glinting with a warning that made my heart race.
“What are you going to do, Aston?” I asked, my voice steady despite the fear that was growing inside me.
“Disobedience calls for punishment,” he said, his voice cold and detached. “And it won’t be the fun kind, because I’m never touching your body again. You’re such a-”
I cut him off again, my voice firm and commanding. “I never intended to let you anyway, Aston.”
He ordered me to fetch a book, his tone commanding and brooking no argument. I hesitated, unsure of what he was capable of, but eventually I gave in and fetched the book.
“Read from the start,” he said, his eyes fixed on me like a hawk.
I sighed, opening the book and beginning to read. Aston listened intently, his eyes never leaving mine, and I could feel his gaze on me like a physical touch.
As Tread, Aston occasionally interrupted me, asking questions or making comments that made my skin crawl. I tried to answer him curtly, but he kept pushing me, trying to get a rise out of me.
Finally, after what felt like hours, finished the chapter. Aston nodded, his eyes still fixed on me, and I felt a shiver run down
my spine.
“Thanks, Kira,” he said, his voice soft and husky, and I felt a surge of revulsion at the sound of my name on his lips.
I glared at him, my anger simmering just below the surface. “Don’t mention it, Aston,” I said curtly, turning to leave.
But Aston’s voice stopped me, his tone commanding and brooking no argument. “We’re not done yet, Kira. We’re just getting started.”
Aston’s eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing through me. “We’re not done yet, Kira, We’re just getting started.”
1 felt a shiver run down my spine as he rose from the couch, his movements fluid and menacing. He walked towards me, his eyes fixed on mine, and I could feel my heart racing with anticipation.
“What do you want, Aston?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
He smiled, his lips curling up in a sly grin. “I want to know more about this commerce book you’re reading. It sounds fascinating
I hesitated, unsure of what to say. But Aston’s eyes seemed to bore into my soul, and I found myself opening the book and continuing to read.
As I read, Aston listened intently, his eyes never leaving mine. I could feel his gaze on me, making my skin crawl, but I couldn’t seem to stop myself from reading on.
Finally, after what felt like hours, I finished the chapter. Aston nodded, his eyes still fixed on mine.
Thanks, Kira,” he said, his voice soft and husky. “You’re a great reader”
I glared at him, my anger simmering just below the surface, “Don’t mention it, Aston,” I said curtly, turning to leave.
But Aston’s voice stopped me, his tone commanding and brooking no argument. “We’re not done yet, Kira. We’re just getting startedThis material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
And with that, he reached out and grasped my arm, his fingers wrapping around my wrist like a vice. I felt a surge of fear, but I knew I had to keep my cool if I wanted to get out of this situation alive.
I needed to go and see Brax. My mind went back to how Brad smiled when he came to remind me about the date. He was really looking for to it and Aston was here holding me hostage. I needed to get the hell out here.
I considered running away but it was a really ***id plan and he was just going to have me tied up and punished for his own. entertainment. I was slowly losing it being in the same space as him.
My mouth was thick with saliva, my legs were starting to get wobbly too. I was thirst and I was tired from standing for so long and reading boring a** words that I didn’t understand or were too big to pronounce. Picking up the book did make me realize how little I read too. I usually just indulged myself in fictional books to escape reality when I felt the need to but now I could understand why Aston was such a difficult enemy to defeat, he was not only strong, he was also smart.
He picked out books at random and read them nor caring what they were about. He just aimed to broaden his knowledge and he was successful Although, I still resented him for wasting my time, I found out that I just learned a few things about a topic that I previously had no knowledge whatsoever on.
