Chapter 53

They arrived at his home and it’s quite large and extravagant. He led her to the dining room. The table was set better than a five-star restaurant.

“This is pretty fancy.” Sam admired.

“Hope you like it.” Will replied.

“It’s great. No guy has ever gone to this much trouble for me.” Sam replied.

“Well, that’s a shame. Glad to be your first.” Will smiled.

“Ha ha.” Sam laughed.

They ate a delicious dinner and then went on the balcony to sit and chat afterwards.

“So, tell me all about Sam.” Will replied.

“Sam is a nurse who doesn’t do relationships. Dating and hook ups are fine. Doesn’t do the whole jealousy thing, doesn’t like the drama. She’s way too busy to deal with that crap nor does she have the patience for it.” Sam explained.

“Well maybe I can change your mind on the relationship part.” Will grinned.

“You’re my third date this week. I’ve had a bad taste of relationships to do me a lifetime. So don’t get your hopes up. Fair warning.” Sam cautioned.

They chatted a while longer then Will drove her home in his convertible sports car. He opened her door for her and walked her to her door. At her door he pushed her up against it and gave her a hot passionate kiss.

“A little something to remember me by.” He smiled.

“Thank you for a wonderful evening.” Sam replied.

“It was my pleasure.” He replied.

The next month seemed to pass quickly. Sam was going on dates with all three guys still. But that’s about to end. She asked Nick to come over for them to talk.

“I asked you to come over so we could talk. You are such an amazing, kind, sweet guy, but I’m afraid the chemistry just isn’t there for me. I can’t keep seeing you as it’s not fair to you. This really hurts my heart, and I wish it were different. I hate the “let’s be friends” speech, but I really would like to be your friend if you’re ok with it?” Sam asked.

“I kind of knew this moment was coming. I mean someone like you with me?” Nick replied.

“Nick that has nothing to do with this. You sell yourself short. You are gorgeous, hot, sexy, kind, and so much more. If anything, you’re too good for me and I don’t deserve someone like you. Do you have any idea how many nurses check you out every time you come into the hospital?” She asked.

“You deserve better than a hook up. My type of guy is rough and rugged. The no attachments love ’em and leave ’em type. Me staying with you would be so unfair to you. You deserve a good woman who will treat you like you’re the center of her whole world. I’m just not like that. My past has really messed me up for relationships.” Sam explained.

“And if you don’t hate me for it, I know someone I think would be perfect for you. She’s so much like you, kind and shy a little too. She works in the NICU and her name is Alice. She is such a beautiful person inside and out, and she’s crushed on you a long time. I know this is bad timing mentioning it, but I really think you should ask her out.” Sam explained.

“You really think I’d have a chance with her?” Nick asked.

“I’ve actually thought she was beautiful for a long time. I just didn’t have the nerve to ask her out. I figured she’d be taken. She’s so beautiful and nice.” He replied

“I am positive you have a shot with her. But you have to ask.” Sam assured him.

“I would still like to be friends.” Nick confirmed.

“I would love that also.” Sam agreed.

They hugged and Nick left. Sam was ready to take it to the next level with the two hot doctors. She grabbed her cell phone.

“Hey bff, when are you getting here?” Sam asked Raine.

“I’m packed and leaving tonight.” Raine replied.

“You need any help? Is he following you or giving you trouble?” Sam asked.

“I’ve got it covered. See you tomorrow, early!” Raine replied.

“Can’t wait. Stay safe.” Sam replied before hanging up.

Just then the intercom buzzed. Sam looked at the display and it was Kim. She buzzed her in.

“OMG you’re finally here!” Sam exclaimed.

“Kim is in the house!” Kim sang.

“Raine is leaving tonight. I just talked to her. She said she’d be here early in the morning.” Sam replied.

“Is all good with her?” Kim asked.

“She says it is.” Sam replied.

Sam and Kim chat and catch up. They ordered take out and then headed to bed. Early the next morning Raine arrived.

“Knock knock sistas.” Raine sang.

“Yay! You’re finally here! Group hug.” Sam ordered.

Raine and Kim got settled in. Mike came over to pick Sam up for their date. She’s wearing a spaghetti strap mauve colored dress. She curled her long blonde hair. Mike was wearing black dress pants, a black silk dress shirt with matching jacket.

“Hello gorgeous.” Mike smiled.

“Hello sexy.” Sam replied.

“Let me carry your bag.” He smiled while taking it from her.

Sam turned around to tell the girls. “Ladies, I’m leaving. Be back tomorrow.”

“If you can’t be good, then at least be good at it!” Kim smirked.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

“Yeah, ditto what she said.” Raine chimed in.

“You can count on it.” Sam laughed.

Sam and Mike left for his condo. “I’ve been dying to have you stay over since that first date.” Mike growled.

“Well, a girl has to play hard to get, ya know. Can’t be too easy.” Sam smiled.

“Baby ain’t nothing easy about you. But you’re worth the wait, and all the cold showers.” He smirked.

“Glad to hear it.” Sam smiled back.

After dinner they lounged on his balcony and kissed. After a while he got up and led her to his bedroom. They stripped each other’s clothes off and had great sex. In the bedroom, the shower, and later after a midnight snack in the kitchen.

The next morning Sam woke up happy. Their night was great. Not out of the ballpark home run type, but it was particularly good. Of course, believe it or not, she’s only had sex with one teen guy and he lasted all of ten minutes.

“Good morning.” Mike smiled.

“Good morning.” Sam replied.

“Ready for breakfast?” He asked.

“Yeah, I could eat.” Sam smiled.
