-CLARA-

"Liam, what are you..." Before I could complete my sentence, Liam pressed the knife firmly against my skin.

"Let him go now, Damon or I'll slit her throat" Liam threatened and I winced as I felt the knife slice through my skin.

Damon immediately let go of Sebastian and immediately, Sebastian grabbed him and slammed him on the ground and I could swear I heard Damon's bone crack under the pressure.

"Stop, please let him go! What are you doing, Liam?!" I screamed and heard Liam scoff.

"What am I doing? Look fucking around, Clara. Your beast of a husband destroyed almost everyone's lives here. My mother was so badly tortured by him that she preferred to die and you're asking me what I'm doing?! Why does someone like him get to have a happy ending and the rest of us don't? He's the villain, Clara" Liam argued and I shook my head, aware of the way the knife sliced my skin but I didn't care.

“He has changed, Liam. Everyone deserves a second chance and...”

"He ruined lives, Clara. Those people he killed, don't they deserve a second chance as well? He doesn't deserve to live" Liam retorted.

"And you really think siding with Sebastian is the right thing? As soon as Damon is killed, he'll wipe out our full race..."

"I don't give a damn, Clara! I have nothing else to live for! My mother is dead and I... I lost you to that beast. I don't care if I die today, as long as I watch him die then I'm okay" He replied and I frowned.

"This isn't you, Liam. You're not a bad person, you have never been. Are you really willing to risk everyone's life just to fulfill your revenge?" I questioned and he chuckled and I grimaced when he leaned closer to my ear.

"If you come to me then I can rethink helping Sebastian. Just say you'll come back to me. You don't have to love me, just let me love you" He murmured and I shivered with disgust as he dragged his fingers up my thighs.

"Don't you dare fucking touch her! I'll have your fingers broken off!" Damon threatened from the ground and I whimpered when Sebastian stepped on his head, pressing it firmly on the ground.

"You shouldn't be talking bastard," Sebastian uttered before continuously stomping on Damon's head.

“No! Please stop! You're going to kill him! Please stop! Damon!” I screamed as I struggled against Liam's hold but he held onto me tightly.

The rest were still fighting for their lives and couldn't help out.

"That's the point, buttercup" Sebastian uttered with a sinister smile and was about to stomped on Damon's head one last time when he was suddenly shot in the abdomen.

Sebastian immediately fell to the ground groaning while we all turned towards where the gun was fired from and my heart soared with hope as I saw my uncle and his people walking towards us with different weapons in their hands.

In that brief moment that Liam was distracted, I was able to get out of his hold, grab onto the knife and slit his throat.

He stared at with wide eyes as blood oozed out of his neck before he fell to the ground.

I never wanted to kill him considering the past we had with one another but he wasn't the same Liam I had onced loved and I wasn't going to spare another that wanted my husband dead.

"Say hello to your mother and father for me" Was the last thing I said to Liam before life drained out of his eyes.

I immediately turned towards Damon who was lying lifeless on the ground with Sebastian still groaning beside his body.

I rushed towards Damon and took his body into my arms. Why was he cold?

"Damon? My love? Please stay with me! Talk to me! Damon!" I screamed as I tapped his cheeks lightly. I checked his pulse and I couldn't feel anything.

“Damon!” I screamed as panic crept into my heart. It couldn't be! I wasn't going to let him die!

"Help! Help Damon!” I screamed as loud as I could and tried lifting him up with all the strength I could muster but immediately I lifted him up, Sebastian grabbed onto my leg and I fell to the ground, slamming my stomach against the ground.

Pain immediately shot through me as I let out a scream.

"I'm going to kill you bitch!" Sebastian yelled as he pulled me closer towards him.

"Let go of me! Damon!" I called out for Damon despite being in severe pain. I looked over to where I had dropped him and he was still laying lifeless.

I looked up and could see my uncle and Luca running towards us.

"Help Damon! I can't feel his pulse! Forget about me and help him!" I screamed at them but instead, my uncle raised up his gun and fired directly at Sebastian right in the abdomen.

"Do you really think your silly bullet can hurt me, human?!" Sebastian roared.

"That's not any bullet but an

antidote. The one I shot you with earlier helped break through the immortality and now this one will help dissolve that immortality" My uncle explained while still aiming the gun at Sebastian and from

the

corner of my eye, I could see Luca helping Damon from the ground.

Sebastian let out a laugh as he stared at my uncle.

"A mere human like you coming up with an antidote for immortality? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard" Sebastian uttered and I wanted to say something but I was in so much pain.

"Uncle..."

"Don't worry sweetheart, save your breath. It will be over soon. I'm sorry for coming late" He murmured and I winced as I tried getting up from the ground only for Sebastian to stand on my hand with his boots.

"It will be over when I say it's over and it won't be over till I've crushed every last one of you! I will become a god!" Sebastian let go of my hair and fell to his knees while holding his head as he continuously screamed. I stared at him in shock and only then did I notice there were witches standing beside my uncle and they were chanting a spell which seemed to be working on Sebastian.

"You bitch! You betrayed me!" Sebastian yelled at one of the witches.

"You betrayed everyone when you had this sick idea to become a god! You had my mother killed just to fulfill your selfish goal so I'm here to end your fucking life" As soon as she said that, the chants grew louder and blood began to flow out of his nose, eyes and ears.

"Damon, where's Damon?" I murmured to myself as I weakly tried to stand up only for Sebastian to grab me again.

I turned to him and my soul almost left my body when I took in his form. He had turned to that monster that had visited me in my room that day.

He was the devil.

"I will not let you live!" He yelled and I closed my eyes to accept my fate because my body was already weak. I couldn't fight back anymore. All I could hope for was that Damon was okay. He had to be okay.

I waited for any kind of pain but nothing came. Instead, Sebastian's weight was lifted off my body, followed by his scream of agony and pain.

I opened my eyes slowly and found Damon literally tearing him into shreds with his bare hands.

At that moment, I couldn't even

decide on who looked more like the

"Damon..." I muttered softly as tears slid down the side of my eyes.

"Anyone who hurts my wife will die!" Damon yelled before finally ripping Sebastian apart.

Everyone went silent as we all tried to understand what the situation was. Had we won? It didn't feel like we had.

Damon slowly turned towards me but before he could take a step towards me, he fell to the ground, slapping his head hard against the ground. "Damon! Ahh!" I yelled as a sharp pain rippled through my abdomen. When I looked down, I was met with blood flowing down my thighs.

My whole world stopped spinning at that moment.

"My baby!" I cried out as I placed my hand on my stomach but could hardly feel its presence nor could I hear its heartbeat.

“Damon! I can't feel the baby! I can't... ahhh!!” I screamed as pain shot right through me again.

My uncle rushed up to me and helped me off the ground while I watched as Luca and another man helped Damon off the ground. He wasn't

breathing.

"No no no no❞ I muttered over and over again as I watched them take him away.

"It's okay, we need to get you to the hospital" My uncle said softly as he helped me down from the platform. I couldn't lose both of them, I just couldn't.

I couldn't feel my baby, nor could I feel the mate bond with Damon.

"Damon" Was the last thing I uttered before I succumbed to the darkness...
