Chapter 72

It’s over

Kenzo ran out of this room. Running downstairs. His entire thought was on her, if she was still alive, he had to believe she was alive, he had to believe she wasn’t dead.

“I’ll drive..” he took the car keys from Aziel’s grip.

“But.. you can’t..”

“Don’t say a word. You get into the other car Get the rest men, put them together and you know what to do. We’ve been preparing for this. Go now!”

“I’m going with you,” Sambas said.

He nods at sambas. And they walked out of the room.

“What about me?” Ezra yelled.

“You’ll stay in the booth.” They muffled a laugh. He ran after them. There’s no way he was gonna go within Aziel, Kenzo was the safest.

They got into the car and Kenzo began driving out of the mansion. He drove normal for a while, just after they left the mansion and his neighborhood but after that. He drove too fast, fast than they had imagined he would.

“You’re gonna kill us before we get killed by Hazard!” Ezra yelled. Though he was on his seatbelt. He thought he could fall off from the car seat.

“Argh!” He screamed, as he outran cars on the highway, they swayed in the car. Maybe going with Kenzo was the wrong idea, Kenzo was the lover and Aziel was the brother. Aziel would have been the safest.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

“She’s fine, I know she’s fine. We just need to believe that it’s Elina. She isn’t gonna die!” Sambas said to him.

“You don’t understand she in the waters. She could die even if it’s just ten minutes she’s in there. Fears killed faster than anything else.”

“I think she would see a reason to overcome her fears. Elina is different now, she doesn’t give up without a fight.”

His hands tighten on the sterling.

“The speed at which you’re driving could get us killed. You just had to calm down.”

Kenzo didn’t reply to him or attempted that he was listening to him.

Sambas sighed as he passed another car, he was scared they could get into an accident and might end up not saving her, that’s just the worse of it.

Kenzo’s knuckles turned white, with the pressure he used in gripping the wheel, this was what he had been avoiding, he didn’t want them to use her because of him. He didn’t want that, he had to send her away, yet they got her. He didn’t mind risking everything he had to save her, because of her, he knew there was life outside the mafia.

Even if he doesn’t win, but she’s alive and the baby too, that’s all that matters. He had to speed up to save them both.

If he was a minute late, something could happen, something he was gonna regret for the rest of his life. And if that happened, he wouldn’t wanna think of the possibility.

“You’re gonna get us killed!” Ezra cried from behind, he had a bad feeling about this. But what did he does to stop Kenzo?

They had no idea what was ahead of them. If they were running into some trap or something.

“Slow down a bit..” Sambas said, Kenzo throw him a glance. And slowly he reduces his speed. Though he never wanted to.

And an incoming truck heading their way in speed.

“Argh!” They swayed as he tried to maneuvers the car to the side without running into the truck, if it had come a minute earlier he would have crushed into it. But he had tried to escape the truck, because it got off it lain, heading for them, there was no escape, it was gonna crush them. What if he hadn’t seen it coming, it would have been over for them. He would have killed them.

“To the left..”

“No… to the right.”

“Sideways.”

“No! Halt.”

“Don’t halt!”

“Stop the car”

“Take a turn.”

“Shut the fuck up, you two!”Kenzo yelled. They were the ones that gonna get them killed. Not anyone else, as keep yelling in his ears. There were just two options. Jump out of the car while it’s still moving or crush the bridge into the water.

“At the count of three. You jump out of the water, roll to the other side, or if you can swim, jump over the bridge…”

“What? No, we can’t do that.”

“How..”

before they could decide, the truck decided for them, despite his maneuvering, so they didn’t get hit, but they did, in a way, that the truck had to push them over the bridge with the car.

Argh!

Elina staggered towards Hazard, gripping the gun tightly. Hazard seems rooted to the ground and he couldn’t move or say a word. But watched her coming her way, her breath was heavy and her gaze was fixed on him.

Then he remembered the gun was in his hands, he points at her and aimed but nothing came out. He did it again, the same thing.

Shit!

He had run out of bullets.

“Dang it!” He yelled. Tossing the gun aside. If he couldn’t use a gun, there has to be another way to go about it.

“Let’s fight, without the gun.”

“Because you ran out of gunpowder I should throw me off.”

“It should be fair don’t you think.”

“Yeah. I never wanted to kill you with a gun, it would be easy, less painful, less deserving. You deserve more. More than it. Don’t you think?”

“You’re getting me scared, I didn’t know you could talk like this, well, if you’re hopping on Kenzo, he won’t be here. He should probably be with the angels..”

“He didn’t come did he?”

“You think Kenzo would stay put and do nothing. That’s not possible. He would run over and I gave him a perfect plan for that.” He chuckled, only annoying her.

She groaned. Taking up the heavy wood she saw by the side of the room.

“And you think am gonna believe that. The more you talk, makes me wanna kill you more.” She muttered and began walking towards him, in a threatening way. Hazard took his stand in a pose waiting for her so he could strike anytime she was close enough.

She was no march for him. He was a great Hazard. Only Kenzo was his match. The others weren’t.

He waited for her to give the first strike, holding the wood with both hands she hit him, he ducked the first blow. And hits her with his elbow, she lurched backward. In a sprint of time, she was able to recover quickly from the hurt, though it was so painful, everything she conceal. Right in.

And went to whack his head with this wood, he couldn’t escape it this time, because he hadn’t expected her to retaliate so quickly, he didn’t see the hit coming, his head spun on his head. He chops down in front of her, she jumped on him. Hit him hard on the head with both hands holding the wood.

She banged his head again with the wood.

His head bounced back with each blow.

This wasn’t how he expected it.

Jumping off from him. She went back to pick up the gun and cocked the gun, still facing him, he was groaning in pain. With his hands clasped on his head. She stooped in front of him. And pressed the gun on his groin. His eyes peeled up.

“No!” he said he felt the pain in his head as he said that.

“You didn’t think twice about killing my best friend, you shot him, in my face! You pulled the damn trigger!”

“Don’t pull the trigger I’m sorry.”

“You’re sorry. Not yet.” she shot him in his groin.

Argh!

He howled!

She shot him again, the same spot.

He gagged. The pains were too much for him to bear.

He dropped the gun. And took the wood again. His lips were moving, but she heard nothing.

She swatted his head severely with the wood. Continuously, till he was bleed profusely. She moved back away from him. His breath was massive, he stares at her with tears streaming down from it.

Elina stares down at her hands, soaked in blood. She had killed someone. And not just anyone, a mafia, Hazard.

She stares down at him and then at Ray. He deserved it. She walked down to Ray. And sniffed.

“I’m sorry I never got to tell you how much I love you, how much I cared. How much I crave for us to be together as besties again.”

She covered her mouth and stood up, with her wobbly feet, she had to get out of this place.

Lifting her head, she saw Kenzo running to her. She cried, opening her arms for a hug.

He ran to her and hugged her. Lifting her off her feet. She sobbed, hugging him so tightly.

His hands tighten on her waist.

“You saved us, baby.”

It only made her cry more.

She stroked her hair. He didn’t wanna let go of the hug. She was safe and alive.

Then she noticed his clothes were soaked.

She pulled away. He dropped her down on her feet. And took her lips in his before she could ask him why he was wet…

She kissed him back. Wrapping her hands around him. As she kissed him thinking about nothing else, not the fact that she killed a man or the that her best friend was gone. She pushed her body closer to him. Melting in his arms. As he kisses her, she wants nothing else but to be with this man.

She had been through enough already, she does deserve happiness. With the man she loves.

“You love me don’t you?”

“I love so much. I was a dumbass not telling you that. How much I love you.”

She smiled. He touched her lips and caress him. Then bend down to kiss her again.

She hugged him after the kiss.

“Don’t ever leave me again.”

“Never!”

She sniffed. And chuckled at the same time cause they were both in wet clothes…

He pulled her off her feet, taking her in a bridal style as they walked out of the storehouse. With her head on his chest. It was all over, Kenzo getting wanted he truly wants. And she got the life she wanted and that was with Kenzo.
