Chapter 34

A date with the master I

Elina rushed out of the room, she exhaled immediately she was out. Her back against the door. She hadn’t expect to see him there. She thought no one was in there, since there was no one there at first she should’ve leave, instead she stayed, well, because of the room, it got her. She couldn’t walk away without touching or feeling the furniture and breathed in the fresh air. She should have walked away to avoid this embarrassment.

She saw Buka coming her way, her thought ran to the tray, she had taken it to Kenzo’s room, she had left it in there.

She quickly moved away from the door.

Like she wasn’t just standing there.

What’s she gonna say to him, if he ask of the tray, she doesn’t have it with her.

She ran across the side, quickly standing by her own door. Since her room was just a few inches away from Kenzo’s.

“Ms Elina.” Buka called.

“Yes…” Elina answered, trying to get herself back.

“I need a favor, what’s wrong with you? Are you ill?”

“Just a slight headache but I’m fine.”

“I’ve served your breakfast down stairs. I was about taking breakfast to the master but I wanted you to do because I need your help. Ms Elina.”

“My help, on what, going to serve the master his meal, isn’t that your job.”

“I know Ms Elina.”

“What’s ain’t you telling me.” She folded her hands.

“That’s what I’m about saying.”

“Okay go on.”

“I-I-I need to see my family, it’s been years since I left them and tomorrow, is my baby girl birthday.”

“Are you talking about Carol, she said her husband was dead. How come you’re alive.”

“I was dead, but the master saved me. And I swore to serve him all my life. That’s how I’ve been there ten years.”

“Since You’ve swore, there shouldn’t be any going back. You stay here and do your job.” She opened her door about to go in. Buka held her back.

“Each birthday, I know they wished I was there, because I made a promise that I would see them. When she clock three. But I wasn’t there. They keep hoping I would come. But I couldn’t. Only I asked is just for this time. Once please. Even if it’s just a glimpse.”

She turned.

“What should I do? I would love to see Ellen see her father again. But can I do? I don’t have the power to let you go.”

“You do.”

“I do.”

“Yes.”

“How So?”

“The Master would agree to whatever you say, he asked you for whatever you want. I know you can help me. See them. You can get to see them too. A day off the mansion would be bad would it?”

“I don’t wanna go out of the mansion, there’s no one to meet outside, there’s no one waiting for me or hoping I would come. If I go out I would only end up getting hurt.”

“But I think you’re stronger than that. Ms Elina. You ain’t as you used to be anymore. You can’t keep hiding from the people who hurt you. Sometimes you’ve to face them and show them you’re better off.”

“You’re right Buka. But meeting Kenzo, that’s not a good part. You need it, you should tell him yourself.”

“I should tell him. Do you even see the way he looks at us.”

“That’s how he looks at everyone.”

“Nah! His gaze is kinda soft on you. If you can help me with this, I’ll owe you.”

“I can’t do it.”

“Please, just this once please. Let them know I’m alive. If you don’t pity me pity Ellen, she grew up without me.”

“I grew up with a mother..”

“So you want her to face what she face too. Maybe I was wrong about you Ms Elina, I’m sorry to have disturbed you.”

He turned to leave.

Elina watched him walked away, she was just scared, not that she doesn’t want to help.

She was gonna tell Kenzo but she has to gather a lot of courage to face him again.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

What if he doesn’t agree to Buka leaving, maybe he could all Buka needed was to ask him.

He wasn’t much of a bad man, at least he knows what family is all about. She opens her door and enters, gently shutting it behind her.

She was facing the door of Kenzo again. After an hour. Her hands held the door knob.

Maybe she should knock.

She lift her hand to knock.

“Come in..” the voice that gives her shivers. How did he know she was right in front of his door.

She opened it and got in. He was sitting on the bedhad a robe on him, the window was still opened he didn’t shut them. She thought that would be the first time he would do once she had left.

Aziel was standing beside his table. Wrapping whatever he was doing.

She dragged her feet towards Aziel.

Wondering if she could greet or not. Because it was kinda awkward for her.

Aziel turns when he saw her enters.

“Hey Elina.”

“Aziel..”

Her voice was a little whispered. Wondering why he had his gaze fixed on her without moving away from her face. It got her voice hung on her throat. What’s is she gonna say. She had never been in this kind of situation before not even with Ray.

“You took too long to deliver the message.”

“What message?”

“Should I tell you want you guys talked outside my door. You’re in my house you seems to forgot that. ‘A day outside the mansion.’ That. Isn’t that what you came here to say.”

“Part of it. It’s kinda nice you heard I won’t be able to say. I want to talk about..” she paused and chewed on her lower lips.

“About What?, the date?”

She smiled shyly. He really smart. She doesn’t have to stress herself he seems to know what she was thinking and the next time she was gonna say.

“We’re have already set a place for it.”

Her jaw dropped.

” I wanted to be aware of the place?” She cried.

“You’re the lady, you shouldn’t know about the place..”

“Well I want to know.”

“It won’t make any sense if you do.”

“It would, for me, I don’t wanna go to those annoying dinner date, wearing long dresses and heels. A wig over my head. Eating like I would..”

“Isn’t that what dinner date is about?”

“I don’t want that, I wanna jean, and top and a sneaker I don’t wanna put on wig, I wanna eat burgers, pizza, and anything i could eat with my hands..”

Aziel jaw dropped watching her list all that.

“That’s what you want?”

“Yes.”

“I can’t be seen with the crowd you know, I’m…”

“Kenzo Brennon. The richest young billionaire.” She drawled.

“Just for today. We could drink too. Go over to fun fair, after we attend Ellen birthday party.”

“Why should I attend that.”

“Because I made a promise, that I would one day come to see her with a rich man. I regretted saying it that day she cussed at my face.”

Kenzo chuckled.

“You won’t let Buka go, won’t you, just for a day.”

“Sure.”

She squealed in excitement, jumping up and down.

“You need a cloth of your own, stop moving around the house with mike. We should go shopping.”

Her smiled broaden. Kenzo stood up from the bed. Instantly she jump on him.

Hugging him tightly to herself.

Aziel looked away. With a smile. Like he hadn’t seen anything.

Kenzo was shocked, he wasn’t expecting it and he doesn’t know how to respond, he had never been hugged before in such kind of way, happy and kind of feeling he doesn’t understand.

He pushed her away from him.

“Sorry…” she apologized and moved backwards away from him.

He looked at her, the disappointment in her eye. He didn’t know what to say so he walked out of her presence into the bathroom. Not like he had anything to do in there, he just had to stay away from her.

She felt her cheeks hot. What was wrong with her these days. And she was right, the monster kenzo wasn’t such a bad man.

He still has a heart.
