Chapter157 Sister, I am in pain, in agony!
Sister, I am in pain, in agony!
Michael Huo got up early the next morning.
He was afraid that George Mo might perceive or feel confused.
So he waited early in the living room that Aunt Mu had to get up early to prepare breakfast.
The door of the guest room was finally opened after a while.
George Mo came out in a simple white T shirt.
Michael Huo wanted to greet him but then he felt it was not the right timing that he just stood there to
stretch his limbs.
"Eh? Why did you get up this early?” George Mo saw him and then stopped to inquire.
Michael Huo turned around to see him with a throughout sight and said "Well, I felt a little bit hungry
that I couldn’t sleep well so I guess I might have my breakfast earlier this morning”.
George Mo nodded and looked to the kitchen when Aunt Mu was serving their breakfast.
Michael Huo quickly said to him, "Come on, how about having breakfast together?”
"Alright!”
They sat across each other and Michael Huo ate porridge and peeked him.
"Hiss…” George Mo just took a mouthful of porridge and reached out his hand to rub his temple
involuntarily.
"What’s wrong?”
"Nothing, I just feel a little bit headache. Well, how did I come back last night?” George Mo stared at
him and asked, "Why was I at home when I woke up? And my clothes…”
These were Michael Huo’s sleeping suits, how could he put those on?
Aunt Mu just came at this moment and uttered with a smile, "Mr. Mo, you drank a lot last night and your
friend sent you back. You vomited all over your clothes, so I took these from Mr. Huo’s room for you.
But I didn’t clean you last night, it was our bodyguard.”
Michael Huo lowered his head and ate his breakfast. He made Aunt Mu to say these words to that guy.
George Mo nodded and said embarrassedly "I’m sorry for troubling you.”
"It doesn’t matter,” Aunt Mu smiled "you may drink less wine, Mr. Mo. That’s not good for your health!”
George Mo hurried to nod "Don’t worry. I won’t drink any in the future.”
On seeing this, Michael Huo felt slightly relieved as that guy seemed to know what had happened.
Then he looked at him and asked "Do you want to visit anywhere in Austral City this time?”
George Mo was stuck that he looked at Michael Huo in doubt.
"Jennifer is getting married tomorrow, so I will be free the day after tomorrow. Linda couldn’t sleep well
these days as many problems have happened. I wonder if I could take her to some ‘familiar’ places for
her to be in a better mood.”
George Mo frowned slightly and pondered over the definition of "familiar place...”
After a while, he looked at Michael Huo "How about Phoenix City. She had lived there for more than ten
years after all.”
"Well, that’s a deal. Let’s go back to Phoenix City together after Jennifer’s wedding ceremony. Um, I
heard Kui is also from there, we can take her with us!”
He was afraid that George Mo would refuse and worried about that he might interfere them.
So it’s better to bring Kui with them.
"Alright” George Mo smiled faintly "I returned in a hurry last time, and didn’t go to any place familiar!”
Michael Huo smiled back as he noticed his expression.
Nevertheless, he still had some worries.
How to treat with this depression?
And how to enable him to completely put his burdens down?
——————
The next day.
The news of Jennifer Huo’s hasty wedding spread all over Austral City the day before.
People didn’t understand why the date of the ceremony changed over and over again.
Could it be that…
She’s pregnant?
The Huo’s didn’t give any response for all these doubts.
Even the Ding’s didn’t give a word.
No matter what the public talked about, the Ding’s and the Huo’s both families were going to hold the
wedding ceremony as scheduled.
Richard Qu was brought back by his father the day before.
Michael Huo got the phone call last afternoon. He was told that they had arrived home safely and they
promise that they would never allow Richard Qu to come back to the Austral City again.
In the room on the third floor.
Linda Yun was there with her.
She looked stunningly beautiful today.
But…
Her face, which supposed to smile, was covered with tears.
Linda Yun felt pity for her, she took out paper towel instantly to wipe her tears gently and said "Don’t
cry, you are getting married today. It’s a red letter day and you shouldn’t cry.”
Jennifer Huo looked at Linda Yun in tears "Sister, am I getting married?”
Linda Yun also felt extremely painful as she looked into her reddened and swollen eyes.
"Yes, you’re going to get married. So, be happy, okay?”
Jennifer Huo looked down whose of tears fell onto the floor "Be happy? Right, people say that… You
will feel happy when you marry someone, but…” She looked up at her with her eyes filled with endless
agony "I’m not happy at all, I feel sad…here”, she pointed to her heart "it’s full of pain…”
Linda Yun’s heart ached inexplicably. She grabbed her hand "Jennifer, please don’t think so. I tell you
that everything can’t satisfy both sides in the world, as for you and him...”
She didn’t know how to continue.
Three years ago, she deliberately let her see the truth.
But why she still sank into the vicious circle again?
Even Richard Qu, whose mind was always clear, just failed to let go.
Was love really unexplainable?
"Sister, please don’t say anymore, I know... I understand… I understand…” She smiled "I know it’s
impossible for me and him to be together. Our love is unacceptable…”
"Jennifer…” She wasn’t feeling well wither by seeing her in great agony.
Jennifer Huo hurried to look to her, smiled and then sat down in front of the dressing table. She peered
at the dresser and then took out the powder puff to pour over her face. "I mustn’t cry, and I’m not
entitled to cry… I don’t have the right… I need to look beautiful, because I’m getting married today!”
She applied her face with some make up foundation as she uttered these.
However, her tears seemed to gush out from a turned on faucet that she couldn’t hold back.
"I’m going to get married, I’m a bride, I want to be beautiful, be perfect…”
"Jennifer!” Linda Yun took a hold of her hands "Please don’t be like this!”
Jennifer Huo looked at her with reddened eyes and a faint smile "I… I’m fine, sister, I’m fine. Really, it’s
true!”
"Just go!” Linda Yun suddenly said.
Jennifer Huo was stuck.
"If you are really unhappy, if you don’t care about the secularity. If you really love each other and you
can’t extricate yourselves. You could go to a place where no one knows and start again!”
Jennifer Huo was astonished, she looked at Linda Yun and wasn’t sure what to say.
"But just remember that once you choose this way, it means that… you are about to break off all
relations with… your family!”
She had to inform her of the cruel truth.
Love was beautiful.
But the reality was cruel.
Suddenly, Jennifer Huo laughed but she cried harder later on. She slipped down the chair bit by bit.
Eventually, she fell down onto the floor.
"It’s hard… I can’t...”
Linda Yun knelt on one knee in front of her and hugged her tightly.
She could understand her pain.
Jennifer Huo hugged her harder and burst into cries, "Sister, I am in pain, in agony…”
"I know, I understand.”
"Wuu… Wuu…”
In a sudden, the door was opened.
There weren’t anyone else, they were Qu Zhirong and Susan that had always held a repugnance
toward Linda Yun.
"What are you doing now?” Qu Zhirong reproached in a cold voice.
Linda Yun unclasped Jennifer Huo and then supported her with hands.
Jennifer Huo also stood up but she hung her head and was still crying.
Susan didn’t speak. She stood beside Qu Zhirong and looked at them indifferently and
unsympathetically.
"Do you want to harm my daughter again?” Qu Zhirong stared at Linda Yun in a disgusted tone "Why
do you make her cry in a perfect condition? Don’t you know that nothing good will happen in your life if
you cry on the wedding day?”
"Mom, it’s none of her business!” Jennifer Huo looked up and yelled at her with red eyes.
"Shut up!” Qu Zhirong said more furiously, "How dare you cry? Look at the disgraceful thing you do!”
Jennifer Huo didn’t reply and stood there trembling with her hands grasping the hemline.
"The Ding’s will come here to pick you up in any moment, don’t give this weeping face. Just thank God
someone could marry you in your current condition. Don’t mess up with it, do you really have to
disgrace me and your father?”
"That’s right, Jennifer, don’t waste time. If the affair of you and your cousin spread around. What the
condition would be for aunt and uncle?” Susan leaned aside with a slightly sarcastic voice.
Jennifer Huo raised her head and stared at Susan fiercely.
Susan frowned, "why are you staring at me? It wasn’t me who did something disgraceful!”
"You!”
Linda Yun reached out her hands to hold Jennifer Huo back, and then looked at Susan, "don’t you think
that you did more disgraceful things?”
"What do you mean?”
"I know what I mean for sure, but stupid people don’t know!”
"Well, I don’t know, what do you mean?” Susan grilled on her in a hurry.
On hearing that, Linda Yun laughed, it was true that stupid people didn’t understand.
Susan was stunned for a moment and then she realized "Did you say dirty words about me?”
"That’s enough!” Qu Zhirong reprimanded, "Linda Yun, get out!”
Jennifer Huo felt a bit nervous and stretched out her hand to catch Linda Yun’s clothes unconsciously.
Linda Yun didn’t move.
"I asked you to get out of here, didn’t you hear me?” Qu Zhirong was more irritable by her behavior
"Get your ass out of this room!”
Jennifer Huo heard her mother’s abuse and could not help loosening her grip on her hand.
"Sister, leave here!”
Linda Yun sneered, "Get out of here?”
Qu Zhirong looked at her with cold eyes.
"Oh, unfortunately I only know how to walk out and I don’t know how to get out. Otherwise, you can
show me how to get the hell out of here!”
Qu Zhirong was greatly furious as she heard that and tried to raise her hand to slap her.
Linda Yun grabbed her wrist and pulled her aside.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!” Qu Zhirong wanted to take her hand back but she clasped her
tightly.
Linda Yun stared at her with extremely cold eyes. "You had better remember that you are mother and
Jennifer is your daughter. Even if she did something wrong, you don’t have to humiliate her with those
vulgar words. As your son said, how much do you care about her? Does she exist in your eyes? Do
you think that an unlimited card can represent maternal love? Or to say, up to now, you consider that Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
you can keep out of the affair without any responsibilities, is that right?”
