CHAPTER 40

NIKHIL'S POV:

Betrayal and unanswered questions made my sleep long gone...for the first time in my life of 29 years I

witnessed both sunrise and sunset.

My anxiety to know answers made me restless and sleepless, with the same speed to know I went to

freshen up. After some time, here I'm sitting and waiting for my soon to be ex-wife....

"Here, you have only 20 minutes." Lady constable left her with me.

"Tq so much, I didn't expect anyone to come even after what I did!?" She said while crying for about a

second my heart melted seeing her tears but held myself from comforting her.

"Why!?" I asked her in desparate tone.

"Huh" she stared at me confusingly like she doesn't know anything what an act..

"Why did you came back to me and destroyed my blossoming marriage!? Why did you lied to me!? You

made me fool by saying that I'm patient and make up everything..." I yelled at her forgetting it is a

police station.

I don't care whether they think that I'm a mad man, I just needed answers..

She lowered her head without talking anything..

"For God sake talk..." I shouted at her...she flinched at my tone and raised her head.

"Somebody blackmailed me" she said, I laughed out loud, guarding police saw me like I a cave man

"You're coming up with new story.....come on you think I'm a fool, tell me the truth" she think by cooking

another story she can get me back or she can prove she is innocent then it's a big no.

"Why do you think I did it, ved is a step ahead than you in every aspect but why did I choose you" she

started showing her true nature now..

"That's what I don't know!" I said through gritted teeth

"I left ved because his dad knew about our marriage when he visited us. But when he offered me

shares or ved and obviously I choose shares. That ceo or other thing is just an excuse. But that old

fellow tricked me and transferred shares to my name under a condition that only if I married I will get

right on shares"

What she just married me for those shares!!! But why!?

"But why!? Your dad should have married you to another rich person right!? Why the hell my life!" I

shouted at her

She just smriked at me and said "because you're naive, I didn't have a plan at first to marry you but

when I saw you at dad's office, I saw the same expression in your eyes when we are in love...that's it I

decided to use that and get married but to my bad luck my step sister already got married to you" she

said out frustratedly

"My dad gave his share of 30 percent to her, every year he used to search for her mother but my mom

some how deviated him then I blackmailed him emotionally to get married to you" she smiled evilly and

bent front a little and whispered

something but lady constable came and dragged her saying out of time.

But I observed her lips moving something like keep an eye on her...

She just married me because of shares..

Pity of you Nikhil!!! You just left a diamond saying that it got covered in mud and picked up a fake

diamond which is shining.

It's you who did that!!?? My inner self mocked me...

It's because of me yes, but didn't I get to amend it! I argued with my inner self.

It just laughed at me and went away, without even replying to me...

Am I not supposed to get second chance!?

While driving car, my thoughts and eyes both are filled with my and Aaradhya relationship. How she

used to wait for me, how she used to manage everything for all of us, the way she took care of me

when I'm mentally unstable. But what did I give her in return just pain nothing else...

Karma is this, once she used to carve for my attention but now I'm seeking for her's. She even sent our

son to abroad away from me!!

Definitely I'm gonna make it up for her and ask her forgiveness

When I reached home, Lokesh is there with his parents and they are talking with Girish mamaya..

"Hello uncle, namaste" I said and sat beside Girish mamaya.

"So, what do you say Girish" uncle questioned mamaya

"Sure, will do that way" he said and both of them shook their hands.

"Then we will take our leave" with that they are about to reach door but Aardhaya called them.

"Uncle, how can you go without eating anything. Have lunch with us" she said inviting them

Lokesh went to her and hugged her "we are sorry Aardhaya" uncle said and Lokesh too said after that

but why they are apologizing her.

She nodded her head negatively and "it's not your fault uncle, and Lokesh is like brother to me so no

heart feelings for those invaluable things" she said and smiled at them

All of us eat lunch and Lokesh, aaru indulged themselves in their talk. Tara is continuously glancing at

Lokesh and Soumya Athaya is no where in sight! Girish mamaya has a smile on his face observing

aaru smiling...

I wish it is as simple as it seems...
