Chapter 23 Be My Wife

When Bruce left the cell, Becca was relieved and then sat down on the ground.

‘What happened? Why did Bruce suddenly change his mind?’

She crawled to the side of the net, leaned against the wall, and looked out.

She had no idea that how long she would be jailed and which trumped-up charge she would be

convicted.

She had never felt more powerless than she did now. She had always been simple-minded and doing

whatever she wanted out of instant happiness regardless of the consequences.

Therefore, in order to vent her grievance, she meant to embarrass the Garcia and Davis families in

front of other peoples.

However, the result turned to be that she was framed to be jailed here and be accused by a trumped-

up charge. She even did not have the ability to resist.

Becca was sunk in thought and unaware of the approaching Kelvin.

Kelvin’s shoulders blocked the light that Becca felt shrouded by shadow. She looked up at him.

“What are you doing here?” she glanced at him and asked.

She did not forget that it was he who called the police.

The iron gate separated them. He looked down at her.

“Do you want to get out of here?” he asked.

Becca turned her head and did not answer him.

“I can help you get out of here and ensure that Laura and the Garcia family won’t bother you with this

matter again.” Kelvin said. Becca was considering whether what he said was reliable, and her fists

clenched subconsciously.

“Well, do you really want to be bullied all the time? Don’t you want to take back the stuff they took?” he

added.

Becca turned to look at him the moment he finished his talk.

He was still looked coldly but there was a little smile on his face as if he had an ace up his sleeve.

“You… you will help me?” Becca asked out of uncertainty.

“As long as you stay being my wife and can no longer mention divorce.” He spoke out his request.

Becca got more confused, ‘Is this what he wants?’

“Why don’t you divorce me?” she asked.

“You have a fiancée and have no feelings for me. We are completely unfamiliar with each other. I don’t

know why you don’t divorce me?” she added. She had no idea why Kelvin married her.

“To me, helping you revenge needs only a slight effort, while it’s troublesome to marry another woman.”

he said emotionless.

“There must be a time limit. You’re not going to be with me forever, will you?” she asked. ‘He would not

like to be with me forever.’

“Two years,” Kelvin said, “within these two years, it’s I only that can dissolve our marriage on my own

initiative. After two years, if you are bored of being Mrs. Lewis, I will let you go.”

Becca frowned and stared at the man in front of her.

“You need to promise me that without my consent, you cannot announce our marriage publicly. You are

while, and finally got up. She patted the dust on her clothes and was ready to leave the cell.

‘She must take back all things that belong to her and find out the truth that what caused her mom’s

death and declaim her mom’s innocence!’

‘Laura and Maria, just wait and see!’

Becca went back to Nova with Kelvin. Since staying at the police for a whole day, she sincerely valued

the regained freedom.

“Well,” Becca asked Kelvin, “Kelvin, can you tell me how you persuade Laura to give up framing me?”

Seeing him sitting on the sofa, she came to massage his shoulder like a servant.

She knew Laura well that Laura would not easily let her go unless Laura gained some benefits or

Kelvin got the goods from Laura. If it were the latter, as long as she got the goods from Laura, she

would not be afraid of her.

Becca thought about it seriously and found that he was almost right.

looked at him.

Kelvin glanced at him and answered, “I said I will help you revenge instead of avenging for you. You

have held the VIP card of Nova. But the first thing you did is to show off in front of them and you

annoyed Bruce. If I had brought the Garcia’s company, can you run it well?”

“You….” Becca wanted to contradict but found he was right. She knew nothing about management.

Becca laughed immediately. It meant that Kelly will be her servant and she could order Kelly to do

anything as Kelvin did to Bill.

Kelvin had no idea what Becca was thinking about. However, it can be judged from her expression that

it was not something good. He took out the phone which he gave her before from his pocket and said,

“Your phone card has been fixed and from now on, you’d better be on call at all times.”
