I nodded and said, "You guys can go first. I'm waiting for Atlas to pick me up."

Carol immediately gestured an 'OK' and said, "Alright, I'm off. You guys carry on."

Not long after, Atlas called, asking me to come downstairs. The three of us then got up and went down together. Poppy had to bid me farewell at the door. She watched me enter Atlas's car while Lauren drove back to Pleca Park.

It just so happened that Ava's ride had also just returned.

Ava's expression was exaggerated, her little face full of shock. I wondered what could make her react like that.

After greeting everyone, Jenny had already run back to find her grandmother.

I glanced at Atlas and asked softly, "Do you think she will make a move tonight?"

I was, of course, referring to Liora.

"She definitely won't let Melanie get caught. Melanie knows too much about her, at least enough to give her a lot of trouble this time. Not to mention that it will involve a bunch of people!" Atlas said.
