Chapter 1021 A Dark Pair of Eyes
My gaze met the dark eyes of a man seated at a table across from us.
The young man sitting there didn't shy away from our eye contact, and I had no intention of avoiding it either.
He looked handsome in a fresh way, with a square face and well-defined features. However, those deep eyes were like the bottom of a pond. They were dark and seemingly calm, but shrouded in mystery.
I studied his face for a moment, feeling a sense of deja vu. But I was sure I didn't know him.
Lauren called my name, and I quickly turned to her. She asked, "Do you want to go to the cafe here after dinner?"
I looked at Dominic and asked, "Mr. Dominic, would you like to take a stroll to the cafe later?"
"No, I'm not used to drinking tea. You guys go ahead. I'll head back to rest," he said, decisively declining my invitation.
I wasn't surprised at all. After all, he was a scholar, and such social events didn't interest him.
"How about Mr. Fred? Anything you'd like to discuss with me?" I suggested, looking at Fred. "Let's walk back together, and then we can go to the cafe below the hotel," Fred proposed.
I thought it was a good idea. It would be convenient for everyone to return and rest.
I nodded. "Alright, let's walk back."
Then, I picked up my phone and messaged Arnold. "Do you have a picture of Denton?"
Then I glanced at the opposite table. The young man conversed with one of the elderly individuals, looking casual and genuinely cheerful.
My phone dinged, and it was Arnold responding promptly with a picture.
Eagerly, I opened it to find a bright and smiling young man. Indeed, it was the same guy from across the restaurant.
That explained why I felt a sense of familiarity. He resembled Martin, whom I had encountered before, with that distinct face of the Terrell family. Arnold quickly followed up with a question mark.
I replied with just two words. "Chance encounter."
His call immediately came in. I signaled to the others, leaving for the balcony to take Arnold's call.
"Hey, are you home?" I asked.
"Tell me, how did it happen?" He asked, going straight to the point.
"At a restaurant," I replied casually.
"He didn't show any reaction, did he?" Arnold's tone sounded urgent.
"Why would he? We just exchanged glances. But he definitely knows it's me. He kept looking over." I added, "He's been watching us."
"Did he make a move?" Arnold continued with his anxious inquiries.
"No, not at all. Just observing, I guess. You don't have to worry. I'm not scared of him," I reassured him.
"Alright, I'm still worried. He just returned to Bourdamun. There won't be any immediate action. Be careful, okay?"
"I'm not afraid, so stop worrying. What's with your unnecessary concern?" I chuckled. "I'll see you later. Bye!"
We hung up, and I returned to my seat, realizing that we had already finished our meal.
Lauren glanced at Dominic and
asked, "Shall we go downstairs for a

Bourdamun along a quieter path." en.swhovels.net
"Sure, let's go," Dominic agreed.
The four of us stood up, and I noticed Denton's eyes were still fixated on me.
Casually, I motioned for the others to walk and continued our conversation while heading downstairs.
The Terrell family seemed to have set their sights on me.
Lauren led us through a pedestrian street and onto another path. It was much quieter here than on the main road.NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
By now, neon lights were twinkling.
Since the construction of New Bourdamun, the old city had
surprisingly become lively. It wamet
said that it had never been so busy before, and it was gradually attracting more visitors.
Everyone had special anticipation for the new city.
The distance from here to the Bourdamun Hotel wasn't far.
To be honest, I had a bad feeling about the Bourdamun Hotel. Still, in the old Bourdamun, this was the only decent hotel.
On this street, people walked in pairs or small groups after dinner. I didn't expect to meet an acquaintance here.
