Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 62

Chapter 62

The man crouched down, almost in the same spot Luca had crouched down in and I felt my body start

to stiffen up a little. I watched as Luca stood right in the spot he had crouched down in, minutes ago,

his hands deep in his pocket and his eyes staring down at me – making me notice once again, just how

big and tall he was at the moment.

I had no idea if I was going to be as tall as he was if I stood up on the couch– that was how small I was

compared to him.

“Hello, Mrs Luca.” The man who had crouched down before me started to speak and I focused my eyes

on him once again, feeling a light color of embarrassment start to flood my cheeks at being referred to

as ‘Mrs Luca’ in the presence of Luca himself.

“Hello,” I whispered to the man in reply, sucking in a sharp, audible breath when something squeezed

in the lower part of my abdomen painfully.

“How are you feeling now?” The man asked and I stared at him quietly, wasn’t it obvious to him that I

was hurting at the moment?

“My bad, I’m so sorry, ma’am.” The man started to say as he breathed out a small laugh with a small

wave of his petty left hand, right before he started to say again, “I didn’t introduce myself to you,

ma’am. My name’s Tyler Creed and I am a doctor, more like the family doctor of Mr Ricci.” The man

introduced himself to me this time, pointing towards Luca at the end of his sentence and I nodded my

head at him, everything about him being here at the moment, starting to make a lot more sense.

I nodded my head to him in confirmation that I had indeed grabbed all what he had said a moment ago,

and then he started to say after a few more seconds of him staring at something in his book.

“How are you feeling at the moment? What’s going on with your body now?” The stranger— Tyler,

asked once again and I huffed out a small breath before bringing both my hands to rest on my thighs

where I started tweedling with my fingers almost immediately.

“My stomach hurts, really badly.” I started to say and he nodded his head encouragingly before

continuing again. “It’s a constant pain or it comes and goes? Where exactly is it hurting? Every part of

your stomach? Wh–“ The doctor started to ask again, throwing countless questions at me all at once,

that I didn’t know what one to answer first, but then Luca cut him off before he could continue to throw

more questions at me.

“Slow down with the questions, Tyler.”

Tyler took a deep breath and let it out slowly before glancing up at me once again, “I’m so sorry if I had

overwhelmed you a moment ago with a bunch of questions all at once.” He apologized abashedly and I

shook my head almost immediately.

“No, no. It’s fine.” I said to him in the next second, my heart still stuttering a little all because Luca had

come in and stopped Tyler from overwhelming me– because he actually was overwhelming me with the

bunch of questions he had thrown at me at the same time.

“Thank you, ma’am.” Tyler said and I flushed in embarrassment, biting the inside of my right cheek to

stop myself from blurting out the fact that he could just refer to me as ‘Sofia’ since I was still an

eighteen year old girl, and way younger than him, for him to be referring to with so much respect.

“So, about the questions…” Tyler started to say again and I nodded my head at him before taking it up

from there.

“Yeah, my stomach hurts… the pain is moving around my whole stomach, it’s not just at a particular

spot. It’s biting and stabbing at every part of my stomach.” I informed him and watched as he jotted

something down on his book before staring up at me.

“Every part feels like different pains are stabbing into them all at once?” He started to ask again and I

shook my head at him, raising my left fingers to caress my forehead when the side of my head started

to throb once again.

“Not at the same time. It’s like the pain is moving around.” I started to say to the doctor, my right hand

moving around unconsciously to wrap around my middle, pressing down on my stomach. “It stabs into

different parts, at different times. One moment I won’t be feeling any pain in my stomach, and the next,

either the lower abdomen area or the upper side would start to hurt really badly.”

“Ohhh, alright. Thank you.” Tyler replied to me as he jotted something down once again.

“Any other places that hurt or feel uncomfortable for you at the moment?” He asked and I shook my

head before patting the side of my head a little. “My head hurts, has been hurting ever since I woke up,

it didn’t hurt this evening before I had…” I trailed off and bit on my lower lips a little before completing

my sentence, “Um, before I had passed out. My head didn’t hurt then.”

“Alright. Anything else?” He asked and I paused and quickly racked through my head, confirming within

myself that there was indeed nothing else that was currently wrong with me.

“Um, my throat also started to hurt some time after I woke up, each time I made the swallow movement

with my throat, it starts to hurt like it’s sore or something.” I said to him on remembering that last bit of

information and watched as he stared at me quietly without saying a thing. He glanced up at Luca and I

glanced up at well, wondering why they were suddenly exchanging gaze and why Tyler was narrowing

his eyes and wiggling his brows at him a little and Luca was glaring at him in reply.

“That’s all there is, right Mrs Luca?” Tyler asked once he had written something down and was staring

up at me once again. I nodded my head at him in reply and watched as he started sorting through his

papers once again. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

“The reason why your stomach is currently experiencing different biting pains in different areas all at

once, is because the tablets you took, were really, really strong for you to have made use of it on an

empty stomach.” He paused and glanced up at me to confirm if I was listening to him before continuing,

“It’s also because the worms in your stomach are really sensitive, and you’ve triggered them really

badly by making use of that drugs, and since there was no food available in your stomach for them to

eat, they’ve decided to bite around your whole stomach.”

I stared at him while listening to all what he was saying with rapt attention… so that had been why my

stomach had started to really hurt badly?

Yikes.

“Also, are you on your period at the moment?” He suddenly asked and I stared widely at him while

spluttering for a few seconds, wondering why he was asking me such a private question right there in

front of Luca.

“I- um,” I started to say, trailing off as a deep wave of embarrassment settled in my head and more

flushed color slid into my cheeks at the very moment.

“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about you being on your period,” Tyler started to say and I felt my

heart sink into my stomach at once to settle heavily in the pits of my stomach, another deep wave of

embarrassment washing over me.

There was nothing more embarrassing about being embarrassed about something in front of someone

who’d rather not have witnessed one of your embarrassing moments— and being told to not be

embarrassed, still in front of that particular person.

“It’s totally normal to be on your period, there’s nothing for you to be embarrassed about. It’s totally

normal for your body system.” Tyler started to say again when I still remained quiet and I’ve never

wanted the ground — or at this moment, the couch to open its mouth and swallow me up immediately.

God, this is so embarrassing.

“So, are you on?” Tyler started to ask once again and I nodded my head at him reluctantly, refusing to

glance up at Luca and feeling my face get even redder because I could feel his sharp gaze watching

me intently.

“Do you usually get a lot of cramps?” He asked and I shook my head before nodding my head in the

next second, “It doesn’t really hurt on the first day, because it…” I trailed off and bit on my lower lips a

little before dragging in a deep breath and continuing, “Because it doesn’t flow all that well on the first

day. But the cramps usually start twelve hours into it, and gets worse on the second and third day.”
