Chapter 92
Alicia shook her head. She could not help but look at him and said, "You are so clumsy!"
She raised her hand and adjusted it again. She fastened the hook and smiled. With his skills, the earrings would be lost before she even left the house. She was actually very happy with his awkward techniques. It showed that he must have never helped a woman with this before. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
She looked at herself in front of the mirror. Although they were asymmetrical, the earrings were not too long. She let down a part of her hair and they did not appear ostentatious. She was very satisfied and liked them very much.
"Hubby, It's a little late now. Hence, I won't prepare breakfast! My dear husband, you should go to the company and settle your breakfast there!" she said.
"Alright!"
As soon as Frederick turned around, Alicia suddenly grabbed his hand and said, "Hubby, can I borrow your hand for a while?”
He was surprised.
"Let's show off our love!" Alicia responded and turned to take her phone. "Hubby, hold on to me!"
She held his hands and their fingers interlocked. Alicia rested her head on his shoulder. She searched for the perfect angle and took a photo. Alicia took another selfie of her side profile and deliberately showed off the color of their clothes, which matched nicely. Then, she posted it on social media.
[Thus, a beautiful day starts! I'm so happy!]
It seemed that this was how people showed off their love. Did she want other people to know or not?
Frederick smiled slightly and said nothing as he looked at her. He had a mysterious look, which was fascinating!
In truth, Alicia actually did not want to show off, especially when this love was still surreal in her eyes. However, in order to keep Lindsay quiet, she still subconsciously wanted to counterattack against her. Therefore, she posted it.
Looking at the pair of holding hands, a trace of sadness suddenly welled up in her heart.
She typed on the screen and lowered her eyes to hide the emotions in her eyes!
Once upon a time, love was such a sacred thing to her. However, she seemed to be more and more distant from it now.
After that, Alicia and Frederick went to their respective offices.
Alicia sat in front of the computer in the office, eating bread. A beautiful figure was reflected on the black screen. She looked at the twinkling reflections on her ears. She smiled so widely that her eyes were squinted.
She pressed the power button of her computer and picked up her phone while eating breakfast. Unrealizing it, she opened her social media app again. She noticed that she had received plenty of messages.
She clicked on it. Sure enough, Lindsay was the first to leave a message for her. [Could it be that your left hand is in love with your right hand, and you don't want people to find out?]
D*mn it! Would she die if she didn't spout nonsense whenever she opened her mouth? Alicia got slightly annoyed by Lindsay.
She got back at her and wrote, [I have a handsome man with me. I'm not afraid that people might know about him. I'm just afraid that someone would want to steal him from me!] After that, she revealed a proud expression on her face.
She continued to look at the post and saw that her friends and colleagues had all given her their likes and blessings. She even replied to a few comments.
As soon as she was done replying, she saw another notification appear. She thought it was Lindsay. When Alicia was about to retort, she realized that it was from Frederick. Did he actually like her post too?
Her depressed mood was swept away in an instant. Alicia suddenly beamed as she thought, "He was keeping an eye on me too, huh?"
At the thought of him looking at her post, she didn't find him annoying anymore.
While she was still thinking about him, Frederick sent a message, [I have a fairy with me. I'm afraid people might know about her. I also fear that someone would want to steal her from me!]
Did he see her reply?
She was excited. Alicia replied, [My hubby is the best!] It was followed by a 'kissing' emoji.
Then, it was replied with a simple [Okay.]
She had only looked at her phone for a while, but it felt like she had been on an emotional roller coaster. Because of this post, her mood got brighter for the whole day.
At the same time, Frederick was still looking at the photo of their intertwined fingers holding while holding his cell phone. His gaze softened a little bit, and he stared at it for a long time. He faintly felt that he was missing something...
In the next few days, Alicia wore the earrings every single day. She was in an elevated mood.
One day after work, just as she walked out of the company, she was blocked by Jeremy again. Looking up, Alicia frowned.
She could understand if the first time was just a coincidence or if he really had something to talk about. However, this time, she did not think so anymore!
It had only been a few days. At first glance, Alicia felt that he looked a lot more haggard. She wanted to say something but stopped herself.
"What's the matter?" she asked bluntly.
What did his life have to do with her? She could not even protect herself. No matter what he said, she would not care about it.
Jeremy did not know what was wrong with him either. Every day, when it was time to get off work, his feet seemed to have their own sense of consciousness, and they would want to come and see her. No matter how far she was, he just wanted to catch a glimpse of her. Even if he could only do it from afar.
"Where are you going? I'll give you a ride!" he said.
"There's no need for that! I have a car!" Alicia replied. With this, she shook the keys of her luxury car in her hand.
At a glance, Jeremy frowned and said, "Bentley? How can you afford such a good car?"
Did she really fall this low and found herself a sugar daddy?
From his skeptical tone, Alicia had already guessed his thoughts.
"Does this have anything to do with you? Or do you want to take this car away too? If you really think you can do it, then do it! Jeremy, I have lost everything that I can afford to lose. Do you think I will be afraid of you now? I don't know what deep hatred you have for the Blanchard family. However, I, Alicia Blanchard, have never owed you anything. Yet, you have ruined my whole life! I may not be a saint, but I don't hate you! Your day of reckoning will come!" she scolded.
As of now, there were things more important than revenge. She had people and things that she cared more about. She could not let anything happen to them!
Alicia shot him a glare and continued speaking in a
painful tone.
"In the future, don't appear in front of me again! I don't owe you anything, and I don't want to have anything to do with you anymore!"
After that, Alicia was about to leave but her wrist was grabbed by someone. "Ally—"
She screamed, "Let me go!"
When they were arguing, Miriam's voice suddenly came, "Alicia, I need to go to the shopping mall. Could you give me a ride? Hey, is this your friend?"
"No! Let's go!" Alicia was angry.
After getting rid of Jeremy, Alicia tidied up her clothes and took her colleague's arm. She turned sideways to walk past him, and a flash of light passed him by. Jeremy looked at the flashing
earrings, and he felt a strong pain in his heart. His serious look seemed to have melted in an instant.
"Ally-"
When he spoke again, his attitude changed dramatically. However, Alicia did not want to talk to him. She walked without stopping and left with her colleague.
After sending Mira to the mall, Alicia also went to the supermarket to buy some daily necessities that were on sale. Then, she was ready to bring them back to her mother. As soon as she walked out of the supermarket, she saw Lindsay. She turned sideways and covered her face. She pretended to not see Lindsay and fastened her pace. At this moment, a sharp and urgent female voice came from behind her.
"Hey, Ally. Alicia Blanchard-"
