Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 85

Chapter 85

Jerome glanced at Mikayla with some disdain and said, “You were raised in a wealthy family. Why do you always become a bootlicker when people give you money?”

“I’m not a bootlicker! Besides, no one would complain about having too much money.

“Even if you’re so wealthy, you’re still trying to expand your business, right? Well, on the other hand, you might not think the same as us ordinary people. After all, you are entitled to a huge sum of inheritance.”

kuto

Mike sighed in jealousy as he watched on. Mikayla was so lucky to receive so much money

from Jerome.

The highest prize offered by Bernhal Enterprise had only been 100 thousand, but Jerome generously gave Mikayla one million.

But still, Mike thought that it was normal for Jerome to give his money to Mikayla.

After all, what was his would eventually also become hers. By doing so, Jerome could make Mikayla happy and also prevent his money from falling into other people’s hands. It was a win–win situation.

“Mr. Ashford, you’ve been blocking the entrance for so long. Can I go out now?” Amy asked impatiently. “Mrs. Miller hasn’t had breakfast yet.”

Seeing that Jerome and Mikayla were almost done talking, Mike moved aside and said, Mrs. Amy, I suggest you take a leave for a couple of days.”

Mike suggested this because he thought that Jerome would be able to taste Mikayla’s cooking since Amy wasn’t present.

Amy became nervous when she heard that and asked, “Mr. Ashford, did I do something wrong? Does Mr. Miller want to replace me?”

“No, please don’t misunderstand. You’re doing well.”

After breakfast, Jerome and Mike left for the company, while Mikayla went upstairs to tidy NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

1. up. She planned to go shopping and maybe find a suitable gift for Wanda.

When she was about to go downstairs, Mikayla saw Amy waiting anxiously for her.

“What is going on?” she asked Amy.

work “Mr. Ashford said that I should take some days off. Is Mr. Miller dissatisfied with my and wants to replace me?”

Mikayla comforted her by saying, “No, don’t overthink about what he said.”

Amy still felt uneasy and she said, “But last night, I gave Mr. Miller the medicine that Mrs. Miller Senior prepared for him. He was very angry when he saw it and asked me to throw them away.”

Mikayla couldn’t help but chuckle when she heard what Amy said. “Just do as he says. If Mrs. Miller Senior asks, tell her that Jerome will go to the doctor himself.”

Since Mikayla’s car was still in the repair shop, she decided to drive Jerome’s Bugatti.

Mikayla had never driven such an expensive car before. Even if she became rich in the future, she would not be willing to spend so much money on a car.

Hence, she decided to indulge in the pleasure of driving Jerome’s car before they got

divorced.

After getting into the car, Mikayla headed to the mall.

Someone came knocking on Mikayla’s car windows when she arrived at the parking lot of

the mall.

Mikayla lowered the window. A young woman peered into the car and said, “Jerome…”

However, the woman froze when she saw that it was Mikayla in the car.

Looking at Louisa’s changing expression, Mikayla couldn’t help but laugh. “What a coincidence. Don’t you have classes to attend today?”

Louisa said disappointedly, “Why are you driving Jerome’s car?”

Mikayla laughed again and said, “You seem to be familiar with Jerome’s car.”

Jerome usually used more low–key vehicles like his Maybach when going to his workplace.

He didn’t usually drive the Bugatti.

Seeing that Louisa recognized the car at a glance, Mikayla could deduce that she paid a lot of attention to Jerome’s cars.

“Louisa, who is this person? You said that someone famous owns this car,” a man behind,

Louisa asked.

Mikayla realized that there were three young men and women standing behind Louisa.

The person who spoke was a young man dressed in luxury brands. He was about six feet tall and appeared to be very wealthy.

He seemed very familiar.
