Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 45

Chapter 45

She laughed heartily. She bent over in amusement.

Upon seeing that, Mike secretly worried over Mikayla’s lack of awareness. He silently lifted the divider. He avoided being involved.

Jerome looked at Mikayla. Despite his warning, she couldn’t refrain from

laughing.

Her eyes narrowed to mere slits. Her tears lingered in the corner.

There was no trace of enmity, detachment, hysterics, or disdainful mockery on her rosy cheeks.

Only a carefree and radiant smile graced her face.

Her fragrance lingered in his nostrils as he continued to hold on to her delicate

wrist.

Jerome was enraged. Yet, his anger strangely diminished.

It was replaced with yearning and sultriness.

His thirst needed immediate satisfaction.

At the sight of Mikayla’s tender lips, he abruptly pulled her into his embrace and leaned down to kiss her.

To prevent Mikayla from escaping, Jerome pressed her against his chest by holding her around the back of her waist.

Mikayla was stunned by the abrupt kiss, feeling both bewildered and enraged.

Jerome forcefully clutched her arms, rendering her unable to break free..

As if displeased with her sitting beside him in the car, he lifted her onto his lap while grazing her lips.

Jerome forcefully clutched her arms, rendering her unable to break free.

As if displeased with her sitting beside him in the car, he lifted her onto his lap while grazing her lips..

The intimate and frustrating position fueled Mikayla’s anger. It caused her to

emit a low growl,

“Mmm-!”

She desperately withdrew her arms and attempted to deliver a slap to Jerome. However, his strength was more substantial than usual. He firmly seized her

hand, pressing her against the seat.

Mike silently berated himself.

He wondered why he had come and intervened in their affairs.

He thought relaxing at home with his plump cat, Ginger, would have been

better.

Jerome seized Mikayla, rendering her powerless.

Mikayla struggled to catch her breath.

The vast difference in size and strength had left Mikayla no choice but to

succumb to Jerome’s will.

“Sizzle, sizzle! Your phone is hot, answer on the dot!”

At that instant, Mikayla’s phone chimed.

The abrupt noise might have snapped Jerome back to his senses. It caused

him to halt his action.

Meanwhile, Mikayla felt drained of her strength to resist.

Gasping for air, she said in a low voice, “I need to take the call.”

A fiery glint flashed across Jerome’s drunken eyes as he gazed at Mikayla’s vulnerable demeanor.

“That’s not how you ask for something,” he muttered huskily.

Mikayla lifted her teary eyes and gazed at Jerome with a perplexed expression.

The intensity in Jerome’s eyes heightened.

“If you won’t plead, let’s continue-”

“Please!” Mikayla yelled upon being frightened.

“Please, what?”

Mikayla suppressed her anger and lowered her voice.

“Please, let me take the call.”

“Who am I?”

Inwardly, she thought him to be a maniac!

Mikayla gritted her teeth.

“Jerome.”

“That’s not right.”

Jerome had a couple of drinks with the elders back in the chamber. Perhaps he had completely fallen into a drunken state. His cheeks flushed red, and his voice sounded husky.

“What do you always call me?”

Mikayla suppressed herself.

“Jay.”

Jerome wouldn’t compromise.

“Say it properly if you’re going to ask.”

Mikayla hesitated and glanced at Jerome. She couldn’t understand his peculiar interest.
